I am sorry that you feel so alone, especially on such a beautiful day. Remember the love of our Savior is so much, and if we focus on what truly matters during the season you will feel so much more fulfilled! I love your ideas about the baked goodies, giving to others always makes you feel better... and I agree get a tree and some music, maybe decorate a little. Volunteer somewhere, why not have your own little Christmas gathering? It can be potluck so you dont have to spend a lot of money and that way you can have an extra little party :) I will be praying for you for sure, and I hope the good Lord eases your sorrow and makes Himself known that much more during that time! Hope that helps a little and if you ever need anything please know that I am here for you!
Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
I'm the only Christian in my family. My parents and brother are Buddhists but they don't go to the temple often either.
Every Christmas, I feel so alone because I don't even have a tree to decorate and I don't get invited to many Christmas parties. I do get invited to one or sometimes 2 and I go and have good time but I wonder, because some of my non-Christian friends sometimes have about 7 parties to go to at a time.
I mean, I'm not exactly Scrooge or something, so why do I feel so alone during Christmas.
This Christmas, I will go to the Christmas Eve Service at my church and if I can get up early, the Christmas Service too! Maybe I'll start saving up and maybe I'll get a small tree this year, and maybe some nice Christmas CDs to play in my room for atmosphere.
I've also decided to bake some biscuits or something and wrap them up prettily to give to non-Christians and Christians alike in the dialysis center I go to. Maybe in all the joy of giving the baked goods, I'll feel less alone this Christmas.
Any suggestions to feel less alone this Christmas and all Christmases to come welcome.....
