Still snowing, over a foot, and I couldn't go to work (yea!) trying to do stuff from home. Really nasty winds have the house shaking and blowing snow all over. Police have told everyone to stay off the roads, as soon as the snowplows go through, the winds blow the roads shut again. I am tired of winter!
The weather forecasters are saying we are having a "snow-icane" - first I've heard that! It's snowing lightly now and they say this is the first round; later this afternoon the snow will fall fast and furious with high winds. I am SOOOOOO looking forward to Spring!
I've been watching the Olympics and I have to admire these athletes - I don't think I'd try most of these sports, and just thinking of all the training they do - whew! But it makes me think that I can at least get my weekly fitness minutes in, or more! We can do it!

The olympic athletes always inspire me to do more. I just love watching them all! Today was a beautiful day and I joined some friends for a hike in the foothills. It was a challenge for me to keep up with them, it was hardcore!
Started snowing late last night, by this morning had 2-4 inches of snow - but soft powdery snow! I stayed home instead of going to Curves and went on the gazelle. Got a little exercise in shoveling, but left the majority of it for hubby to do, as I was in a hurry to get to work.
Arghhhh! Punxsutawney (say that 3 times real fast!) Phil, our Pennsylvania groundhog saw his shadow - 6 more weeks of winter! How could he see his shadow - the forecast is for snow late this afternoon and it's cloudy out! I am soooooo ready for spring!
February already! Wasn't it just the holiday season? With some of us in freezing cold and snow, and some in hot, steamy weather we should all wish for this month to go fast - as it will with only 28 days!
How did your January go? Any new recipes you tried? I made our favorites last month - Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken, Garden Sloppy Joes, Cheesy Chicken Cups - and a couple times a week either Jenise or I have made the Iced coffee recipe (I know - it's cold out here!)
Finished Bootcamp and have made it a goal to continue to do a Bootcamp video at least 3 times a week. Got a new Leslie Sansone dvd (new for me at least - on sale at Suncoast Video) and am determined to do something a couple times a week, in addition to going to Curves.
