My mini-goal for today was to get out and walk outside since it was sunny and over 60 degrees out. Asked my sister (we work in the office together) if she was gonna be here awhile, she said yes, so I went and walked around all 3 buildings twice. A nice steady walk, not power-walking, just steady. Thought I'd walk for 15 minutes, but as usually happens when I'm listening to a book, 15 minutes became 27 minutes! I feel refreshed, and proud that I got my walking in, and mini-goal accomplished! (Lynn gives herself a pat on the back)

Who else accomplished something today?

Forgot to take water with me, so now am drinking a cup or two to replenish my body. Note for next walk: take water with you! Time for afternoon snack - strawberries and grapes - yum!

Take care,
Lynn

I did my friday goal, and for a goal saturday i got out and rode as well. I did a long ride, and it was nice. I rode over to Mama Terras house across the tracks but instead of riding the near tracks i went across at jordan street and came to her house from the back side.

For monday s goal i am going to do the plank 5 dimes at 10 seconds each... so i can hurt the rest of the week emoticon

and i think i will do some DDR Today, if my friends come over. But thats for my 30 minute walk. *nod*

Right on Lisa. Welcome to the group and the huddle. You know teams huddle before every game and every move they make. It is important to achieve sucess as a team. It unifies them and spurs them on.
In bad weather, animals huddle too. Did you see the March of the Penguins? Without the huddle they would not survive.

We need that kind of encouragement. We live in a "skinny" world. It beats our sense of self. We are so defeated by life's problems. Our huddle is one way to get and give that spirit to ourselves and each other.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your girl(s). C-U here in M&D

My mini goal for today is to walk (in spite of the rain) AND to do my core exercises!

My goal for Friday is to be motivated to ride my bike to work, instead of wait for Tina to pick me up. Reminder... call Tina.

My mini goal for the whole week is to find another ab! lol I am going to do a 10 minute core exercise routine three times this week.

I know what you mean about quick and easy meals, Lynn. I went on spark to find one yesterday. I tried a potato topper that was quick and great. I went back to SP recipes to mark that I tried it and could not find it. I did a web search. There it was. I thought I got all my recipes from spark. SURPRISE!lol

Yesterday's mini-goal was to find a recipe at SparkRecipes.com that I could make for dinner that was simple and quick (my favorite kind of recipe!). I found a recipe called Cheesy Chicken Cups, stopped at the store on the way home from work to pick up ingredients and proceeded to make a quick and delicious meal! Added some broccoli to the mixture, and served with Birdseye Long Grain Rice with Mixed Vegetables (steams up perfect in just 4.5 minutes in the microwave). It's been added to my list of favorite meals - I love it when something quick and simple is also healthy!

Thanks Lynn for the reminder. I forgot to do that. I have a date with friends today at the restaraunt. So I am going to employ your suggestion. (I swear most places to eat here in Hawaii don't even KNOW what healthy is! aaaugh)

Your workout sounds like so much fun. Don't worry about the one ab. That's all I have. I feel at home. lol

Thursday's goal was to do something nice for someone. My daughter got some bad news, so to cheer her up we went out to eat. We ate somewhat healthy, but split an order of mozzarella sticks.

Today's goal was to get to work on time. Usually I go in between 8 and 8:30, but I had to open today as I was the only one in the office. I decided to get to Curves by 6 AM so I'd be done by 6:30, but when I got there they wanted me to join them in doing a "Hip Hop ABs" video exercise routine. So there I was, the 56 year old, with an 80 year old, 77 year old, 41 year old and perky little 24 year old (who never got out of breath the whole time, darn her!) hip hopping to a guy who kept lifting his shirt and saying "Count em' 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 ABS!" And then us "old" ladies lifted our shirts and said "Count em' 1.....!" Hilarious, but a good time, and a real workout! Which made me late, so didn't reach the goal today. But had fun!

Tuesday's mini-goal was not to spaz out on customers' who don't know their own product as well as I do! Kept my cool while trying to explain how their ordering "system" isn't working. Yea!!!

Today, my mini-goal is to eat lunch without working as I'm trying to eat. Sometimes, that's harder to accomplish then you might think!

Hi all! It's Easter and Spring - time for re-birth, and new beginnings! Every day, give yourself a mini-goal and try to accomplish it. It can be as simple or as complicated as you make it. "I will get up 10 minutes earlier to do some strength exercises", or "I will walk around the block after dinner." "I will not eat any Easter candy!"

Then come back here and tell us what your goal was and if you succeeded. Good luck!
