Thanx Tania, I'm glad too, but I am only home long enough to tidy up and put our house on the market as we are moving interstate...hubby got a job while up in Qld over these hols and has already started working up there, so it is all systems go this end so we can join him asap. Very hard coming home and having to uproot, but life goes on as they say...LOL! I'll still be in touch thru here tho of course.

We went to Qld (gold coast) over the Christmas/New Year and were amazed to find the lack of "healthy" fast food choices available, especially traveling to and from.
Having said that I had grilled fish with steamed vegies at the BP roadhouse at Tailem Bend for my evening meal last night which was delicious.
Mostly you can't go wrong with fish poultry or meat served with vegies or salad though, but as someone has already mentioned watch out for the fried and fatty dressings!!! Taste nice but nasty on the hips...hehehe!!! Maz :)
What a great idea, I'm always looking for somewhere HEALTHY to eat or to be able to find healthier options on the menu. I find that often pubs with a salad/vege bar are okay as long as you don't indulge in the creamy salad dressings or rich vege toppings. Also some of them have fresh fruit you can have instead of ordering dessert. Off the top of my head pubs with salad/vege bars include Grosvenor and Crown Hotels, Victor Harbor, McLaren Vale Hotel and Port Noarlunga Hotel. Keep the ideas coming, this information is long overdue!

What are some of your favourite healthy places to eat in Adelaide?
Mine are... -Hogs Breath Cafe: Okay not everything on there menu is healthy, but they do have small size steaks that you can have veges and salad with (skip the curly fries! they are yummy but very fatty ).
-Sumo Salad They have tasty salads, but make sure you get the healthy salads, a couple of them are high in fat!
-Boost Juice I have a large smoothie for lunch sometimes and I find they fill me up while I am working.
-There is a health food place in the Southern Cross Arcade in their food court that sell delicious gluten free vegetable slices with salad for $6.90
