This race went GREAT!! I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to run it. The night before, my foot started to hurt, similar to the pain I had once when I sprained it. I went to the instacare Friday night to have it looked at. They took an x-ray and they only saw just a little inflammation. They told me to just take it easy and take some ibuprophen. I put some icy-hot on it and rested.
When I woke up for the race the next morning. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt as much as it had. I though that maybe I could at least walk the race. I was thinking that I wanted to at least finish the race. I walked around a bit before the race started and I didn't feel much pain. I decided to run it.
I completed the race in 35:45 min/sec. My best time ever is 35:11 min/sec. So this time was not too bad. My foot hurt a little bit, but not really bad. I am glad that I didn't miss the race.
