Thank you for the tip! I will try it out. I was mainly trying to use the fitness tracker because I like to see a general idea of how many calories I burn but unless it is straight cardio or a Spark workout it doesn't really work anyway.

I've taken to recording just my total workout times, on SparkAmerica. That is the only place on SparkPeople I have found that I can do that. I am able to set overall time goals (ie. my goal this year is something like 7000 workout minutes), which shows on my normal SparkPeople homepage (on the far right bar of the page). I track my strength workouts on paper when I'm at the gym, so I REALLY hate having to come online and duplicate my efforts!! Plus, when I am at football practice, for example, I am not justplaying football for an hour - I'm running, throwing, stretching, catching, playing - so it is annoying to try to separate it out. Give it a try! :)

I have a really hard time tracking my exercises. I do a lot of Crossfit style workouts that are horribly hard for me to track on here. I tried tracking it as circuit training but found I do not get to track my strength exercises because it counts it all as cardio. Then if I add the exercises in individually I am getting double points and half the exercises I can't find i.e. Box Jumps. I am a little frustrated with the exercise tracking but am going to keep trying till I figure out a system that works for me.

Hey guys,

So, I just looked at my fitness minutes that I've tracked for the year, and to reach my goal for the year, I need to do 1024 more fitness minutes!

Have you guys been tracking fitness minutes for the year? (I do it by using mySparkAmerica in SparkPeople, because it lets me put in minutes without having to break it down into specific exercises completed. Super easy!). I like doing it this way, because I track my actual weight-training exercises in a book at the gym, so it is annoying to have to re-enter everything I just wrote online, search for the specific exercise, etc.

So, my goal for the rest of the year is to finish those 1024 minutes of physical activity. I'll be checking in here periodically to update you guys on my progress. What is (are) your goal(s) for the rest of the year? How do you plan to meet them?

Amber
