The exact opposite is happening to me. I'm now in my third month of eating Paleo and have found my appetite has dropped significantly. If I wake up and don't eat until I feel "hungry" that may not occur until 12 or 1 pm. I also don't want to eat more than 2 meals a day. But I do notice I get hungry if I don't eat enough protein.
I used to feel lightheaded and fuzzy if I went more than 3 hours w/o eating. Now intermittent fasting appeals to me because I feel better with less food.
I agree that you have to have sufficient fat on a daily basis to counteract feelings of hunger. I also avoid any and all grains, and that's made a world of difference. When I do eat a grain by accident or necessity, my appetite skyrockets. So there's plenty of incentive to not do so.
