I love avocado with my eggs in the morning. If I don't have fresh avocado I have some organic guacamole and will have a spoon full of that. Or I'll dip pork rinds in it.

I am forever OVER my calories! Eat fattier meats, nuts add a lot, dried fruit does too, nut butters, avocados, olive oil, add more eggs, mayo (homemade or limited ingredient), etc.

Yeah... I'm having trouble hitting a 1,000 right now on paleo alone. I'm going to really have to investigate what I'm eating or learn to eat more or add in something!

It's super easy to go low fat and low carb with the paleo lifestyle. It's just something we need to be aware of as we put it all together. I'm in the same boat. I still have to be super aware or I go under calories. Yesterday I thought I ate a ton, but only ended up with 1300 calories. On a day that should have been a higher calorie day. Sometimes it happens, but it's when we do it consistently that it has a negative impact on us.

When I ate grains, I was hungry every day at the same time. I'm pretty sure my body things I'm starving it right now other wise I feel like I should be hungry every day at the same times I eat. I get a bit hungry in the morning and a bit hungry for lunch, but not like I use to... I know if I don't eat breakfast I don't get hungry later in the day, so I'm thinking my calories are too low for my body to register when I'm eating and not... This could be wrong as it's all assumptions.

I drink coconut milk but it's not quite high calorie. I'm so use to going low calorie that I probably have started doing that on this 'diet' as well, I incorporate more almonds, coconut oil, higher fat (grass-fed) meats and see what happens.

Don't restrict your good fats on Paleo. That is where you'll get higher calories.

Almonds, avocados, grass-fed meats higher in fat (good omega-3 so don't go extra lean on these), and whole eggs. I also cook in coconut oil and use grass-fed butter.

Throw in some yams, for one. They are great for you and can up the calories for you.

What are you drinking? Add some coconut milk? Do a smoothie for your commute using full fat coconut milk, maybe.

Nuts are a good snack.

But at the end of the day, if you are feeling good right now, not weakened, maybe you don't have to match the "by the book" calorie count. Maybe some days you go over, and some days under. How do you feel right now?

I'm about 200-400 below the low of the range Spark people said I should be in for calories. I'm only trying for 80% paleo, no grains no legumes, generally a greek yogurt, and no add-ed sugars.

I'm not 'hungry' per say but I do crossfit about 2-4 times per week so I know I really should make sure I'm not too low on calories.

What higher calorie foods are you eating? Right now I pretty much eat 2 fruits, several kinds a veggies, an egg, and lean protein each day. I'm probably not eating enough quantity wise because I'm use to having to restrict my calories from when I ate sugars and grains which are naturally higher calories... but at the same time it's a huge amount of broccoli or tomatoes to get to 200 calories, let alone double that!

Any advice or food suggestions?
