Luv-2-Run - I haven't found a store that sells hazelnut milk, actually.
The milk I made, there is a recipe for it in the vitamix cookbook that came with my blender, I'm sure it can be adapted to other blenders, you just have to make sure that you have cheesecloth or a nut milk bag (I don't know how much these cost, but no matter the price, they're definitely worth it!).
3 cups water
1 cup nuts (any nut or seed for that matter would work, make sure to soak them for 8+ hours before hand)
Sweetner to taste (stevia works best)
Vanilla Hazelnut Milk: 1/2 tsp of vanilla
Chocolate Hazelnut Milk: 1/2 tsp vanilla, cocoa powder to taste (I put about 2 tbsp)
Place all ingredients in vitamix in the order listed
set variable speed to one and secure lid
flip vitamix on and quickly turn the variable speed to 10
flip on high and mix for 30 seconds
strain through nut milk bag and enjoy
I don't know how this would work in other blenders, I hope this works for you.
When I'm in need of extra carbs and don't want to use fruit, I will mix some melted dark chocolate with stevia and pour it over coconut ice cream (though I guess coconut is a fruit...)
