Why is it people say protein is bad? Your body needs it. I tried to go vegan a few years ago and that didn't work for me I was lethargic and soo tired of beans. I tried this dr. bernard reverse diabetes diet and I couldn't even have avocadoes or nuts and what happened? I gave up, my nutritionist said Hannah your body needs iron go have some meat. True story. I realize everybody's body is different but at least I gave it a shot. Now I am much happier and I am really looking forward to Summer or as I call it BBQ season.

Several years ago I subscribed to Early to Rise Newsletter and that is where I first connected with Jon Barron. For a few years I thought Jon was really great; he even conversed with me personally through email. That was so COOL...at the time anyway. After a while, after doing more study and connecting with other "gurus" I began to see that Jon wasn't as up-to-date as I wanted him to be. That was 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't heard anything from or about him 'til this thread. I'm glad to see he's still thinking and researching and commenting. But I also still wonder about his expertise. There are SOOOOOO many people like him on the web that I get dizzy just thinking about it!!! NWIM Gene? or Jean? Need to buy a vowel? It's only morning still and I am already punchy!

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Okay, nevermind. I don't think anyone will read that long article, esp if they're not interested.

I agree Laura!

I actually read the article in his blog. The "recomendations" at the end of the article actually make perfect sense.

My SP friend Bob has posted a link in his blog (ha ha Bob's Blog - strikes me funny ... gawd, i'm so simple - sigh) about Jon Barron's conclusions about Paleo ... it's a longie article ("every food has lectins, even meat" "HIGH protein is BAD" - you know I hate that one, "Masai - osteo", etc). Would appreciate it if you could take a look and give your thoughts to him. I would love Bob to see our side, even to try it!, so be kind and gentle. ;0)

Also, I appreciated this link from Jon's article about overcoming HCAs high temp cooked meat: www.jonbarron.org/natural-health/bl0
