Our family attends the Colorado Heritage Camps. I highly recommend these camps, btw, for adoptive families. Not only does your child get to spend 3-4 days learning about their birth culture, but you get to spend time with 100 or more other adoptive families with kids like yours! This will be our second time at Latin American Heritage Camp. Here is the link: http://heritagecamps.org/
I keep in touch with many of the families, so I will advertise our group!
There's a bunch of families in my neighborhood who have adopted internationally. Some of them have asked what I've been doing that has me losing weight. May be time to spread the spark in more than one way! :-)
Hi, I'm baaack. I did great through the holidays, then couldn't recover in January. ugh. So I have lost some ground. Well....don't look back, right? I've mentioned this list to several and will continue.
Hi guys, Just a reminder to please spread the word about our little team! The fun will really start when we get to about 20 active members.
So...reach out to your particular adoption community if you have one. Personally for me that includes my Southern California adoption group, my liberal adopters Yahoo group and FRUA (Families for Russia Ukrainian Adoption)!
What groups do you belong to??
I'm the SparkTeam leader of the Intl. Adoption group. If you're the mom or dad to an internationally adopted child, are in the process, or just curious --- please join us!
