Hey everyone...

I'm new...I saw the posting in the Adoption Group, but got caugh t up and didn't get a chance to search for the team so thanks for the direct invite, AWEEMEE.

So tell me where you all adopted from and when.

All 3 of my kids are adopted. 2 domestically from foster care and 1 internationally, from Guatemala. She came home 7/11/05 at just over 4 months. We had a great process. I know it's been crazy with the latest round of Hague stuff.

Side comment...we went to dinner the othter night and we waiting across from another family who obviously adopted from China. We both looked at the girls and smiled. That knowing kind of smile. :-)

I went over to the Late In Life Mommies group yesterday and tried to recruit some women that mentioned that they were parenting adopted kids. No new members today, so I guess that got me no where!


I'll just keep trudging on....

I posted in the adoption group and I'm going to BTTT tomorrow. There doesn't seem to be that much action in that group either. I was thinking of doing the same thing in the single parents group -- you never know.

I posted on Rumour Queen (the China adopters) group, and I'll post today on my liberal adopters group, and my agencies group. I'm no longer a member of the California or Russia group. Could you post to those groups ML??

We just got one more person that adopted from Taiwan that joined us ... she was the only one that responded to my IA post on the Adoption group : (

Understand about FRUA. It would be nice if we could get some recruits ... maybe the local IA group or CA group? There's got to be other adoptive parents in need of this!

I'm beginning to think we're the only 2 here! Hello (hello-hello-hello -- echo echo)! ROFL. Crickets...

No. Done with FRUA. I really had trouble with the political and religious overtones of the chat. Way too much ugliness. I just woke up one morning and thought, why do I need this in my life now? And that was it!

I thought about posting in the family matters section today to recruit more members for this team, but I know that Ernie will only shut me down. He's very selective about who is best friends are. It's like Junior High!
