I finished my first 5K on Saturday in 36:28. I'm thrilled that I made it through it!
I saw my doctor today regarding my shin splints, good news is he doesn't think its a stress fracture, he prescribed an anti-inflammatory to take instead of advil/aleve and wants me to go to physical therapy for 4-6 weeks, he also said I should lay off the running while we do this so I can heal, but said he will get me back to running! YAY!
Its going to be sad to not run now that the weather is turning so beautiful, but I should be able to walk so I'll still get out there.
My next race is the June 15th Color Run, I want to be fit and ready for that!! WOO HOO!!
It's really hard to suck in your back fat.
