Another resource shared by Kim Komando:
"Learning new things is a lot of fun. You donít have to spend lots of money to take school classes, though.
One thing I donít miss about school is the homework. However, I did love attending class and learning new things. It helped if the teacher was interesting, of course.
Iím sure many people feel the same way. You would love to take an educational course, whether in finance, science or literature. However, you donít want to deal with the homework, the commute or have to navigate school bureaucracy.
Thatís where the Internet saves the day with sites like Academic Earth academicearth.org/ . It offers hundreds of course videos from colleges and universities around the world. The schools include MIT, Yale, Stanford and other prestigious institutions.
You can view entire courses in virtually any subject. There are also playlists that mix and match lectures to cover specific topics.
Want to know more about philosophy, math, astronomy, art or entrepreneurship? What about how rainbows, particle accelerators or musical instruments work? All these topics and more are available.
This site is a great find for anyone who loves learning new things. Students can use videos for reports with the siteís citation function.
Itís also good resource for job hunters. Updating knowledge in your field and being able to demonstrate that you care about continuing education can give you an edge in the job market."
