Ha, I DID start one of those home businesses back in 2009, and since I am in school full-time I have hesitated to take on more clients (I have five regular clients...wow! LOL). I worked as a staff accountant for many years, so I started my own LLC to do independent bookkeeping. It was right about the time the economy wiped out some small businesses in my area, and the market rate for independent bookkeepers dropped a lot. However, I am starting to see things turn around here slowly (it's very rural), and I am considering taking on more clients now.

Your comment about taking care to keep our focus on the things we CAN control is spot on - leaving a toxic job for full-time grad school has effectively wiped out anything I thought I knew about myself. My weight has gone up (sad to say!), but I am looking at it from the standpoint of part of the process of self-discovery and part of my journey. If I can find the core issues in my anxiety about life and living, I will also find it for my food issues...

It's all about the journey for me!
