Thanks for these tips. I actually didn't do a full out attack at first - I kinda simmered, but it would have been nice to just decide to let go all together and do the serene-vacation thing. Instead, I let it hang over my head while I did other stuff for my personal development. Anyway, I'm going to be more serious about the search now and wanted to share an updated link for those of us who are coming across these forums like hikers discovering a hidden cave and need fresh writing on the wall: http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/01/03/cb.jo b.search.burnout/index.html
Job search burnout is what I feel I get every day! Thank you for the article. I realized that what they suggest is something that I already do. I treat my job searching as a job in itself. My goal is try to find at least 2 jobs to apply to. Somedays I am lucky just to find one. However, I decided to set a specific time of day for my job searching efforts and fixing my resume and cover letter for each job. I realized job searching all day everyday is just too much and there are many other things I can be doing that are positive in my life right now.
As my Father used to say, "You only live once, so do it all!"
