I am really trying to find something that either helps me to be home when my son home comes home from school so he doesn't need to be in daycare or hire someone to take care of him til my husband or myself get home. I am also trying to find something where I can have enough time off so when my son is off I can be off, excluding the summer. I am just looking to do something I will really enjoy and still have a lot of family time. I would really like to try grant writing which I did years ago..but it is slim pickings right now it seems.
As my Father used to say, "You only live once, so do it all!"
I can't believe its been 4 months since I was laid off. I've had 3 or 4 phone interviews and have my first face to face interview Wed. I am not panicked anymore. I know we can make it on what DH can bring in. I am now looking for the BEST job for me, rather than ANY job. Its a big change in attitude.
I haven't even managed to update my resume yet, but then I only got laid off 2 days ago. I'm still sitting in the depressed/feeling sorry for myself/angry fog that's been stuck in my head for two days.
I'm kinda wanting to wait til the 14th though, since I will be getting a letter of recommendation from my former boss with my last check. That might make things a little easier in the job search front, even if everyone just finished laying off all their holiday workers. :(
Just got to keep my fingers crossed and see what happens. And work out as much as I can. Now that I have the time, might as well take advantage of my gym membership while I can still afford it.
