Thanks!

I have a tip for this topic, too: JOIN TOASTMASTERS! It gives you the ability to better your public speaking and get over your fear (or a way to get stage time if you already love public speaking). In addition, it gives you experience evaluating. A Toastmasters also learns listening skills and leadership ones.

Please see www.toastmasters.org

You would not believe the famous people that are or have been Toastmasters. I am co-leader of the club here on SP!

When you have finished your first 10 speeches, Toastmasters International will send you or your boss a letter to that effect. Same when you receive your leadership award.

It's a WONDERFUL thing to add to your resume. I have received at least one promotion due to membership in Toastmasters. emoticon

6 Sloppy Speech Habits to Avoid

"You may look good on paper or in your suit, but if youíre looking to nail your big interview, looks arenít everything. How you sound is often more important. But many job seekers let careless speech habits sink their chances of landing that plum job.

The Bottom Line: You donít have to study elocution to speak well. Simply slow down, take time to pronounce all the syllables, and leave slang at home."

Check out the details at the url above!
