Thanks Don. The mistakes on the cover letters was very beneficial to me. I tend to rush through my letters but will remember to take more time before sending them.

Everything happens for a reason!

Maybe you're unemployed. Or, maybe you're thinking about making a career change in the new year.
In either case, you'll want to think about the types of jobs for which you're suited. After all, you'll be spending many long hours at your new job.
A personality test can be one of the most effective tools for job searchers. It will help you understand yourself.

From Kim Komando: Become a volunteer

This is always such a busy time of year. We all have a lot to do to prepare for Christmas. There are gifts to buy and a tree to trim. And let's not forget the holiday parties.

But, it's also a good time to take stock of this past year and look ahead to next year. Evaluate what you did in 2009 and how you can make changes in 2010.

This year was tough on many Americans. So, I'm sure many people scaled back on giving. But you can make up for this in 2010.

Instead of donating money (or in addition to), become a volunteer! There are many organizations across the country that would love your help.

You'll be providing much needed help to those who need it most. Of course, it will also be more personally rewarding than making a donation.

The federal government has set up a Web site to encourage volunteerism. Search for opportunities in your area that meet your interests.

Volunteering is a great way to give back. Make it part of your resolutions for 2010!

Okay everyone! Let's make it a SUPER 2010!

Let me know if you find any of these resources helpful and better YET: Please share your ideas with me about what you would like to see happening on our SparkTeam here! I am MORE than open to ideas and MORE than open to SHARING this SparkTeam with a CO-LEADER or two...let me know if you would like to jump in!
