I know I've mentioned it before but want to bring it up again.
Check out the job listings on Craigslist if you are still looking for employment. For those not familiar with Craigslist, it's for posting everything, not just items that people want to get rid of.
Recently (past 3 weeks), I've been focusing on the postings. I pick one day a week and look back at the job postings in my area. Here's the link
www.craigslist.org/about/sites Find your state and nearest city location. Waaaalaaa. There is a WHOLE section of jobs.
Start looking at your profession and go back through the past week or more. Apply to what you think sounds interesting.
However, I will put this in...Be aware of scams. You know them, you've heard about them and they are on there. BUT that said, check it out. You might just find that hidden job. I replied to about 10 postings last week and have gotten good, job leads back from approx 5 postings. That doesn't happen all the time but at least, it's worth a shot!
