I would suggest as I've often heard it said about resumes and cover letters, that brevity is best (nobody has TIME to turn a business card over...lol!). So I would keep it to a one-sided card, unless you think you have REALLY GREAT stuff to warrant the back side.

I did this and got a pretty good deal for basic one-sided cards at vistaprint.com. Although I do know that local business supply stores as well as big box stores like Staples and Office Max have pretty good deals too. At VistaPrint they have lots of samples to start you off, and have a lot of things you can customize. On mine, I have my name, town and state, phone, email and LinkedIn address.
One word of caution about VistaPrint. They offer 'free' cards, but they are VERY basic. You don't see what your order is going to come to until you get to the checkout process. My original order was two sided and glossy card stock and came to about $60. But making a couple of changes to fit on one side (still in color) and going to regular biz card thickness instead of the fancy paper made my order about $25 for 250 including shipping.
I sure hope that helps!!

I've read and heard from several places that I should carry business cards while being unemployed. I understand the whole basis for this but am having problems finding samples of these in order to create my own and to keep it simple and basic. What exactly should go on these besides: name, contact info, professional/network websites? And should they be carryover to 2 sides or just one?
