You got work to do. Get your clothes ready and your house in order and take time to celebrate. You could make lunches and freeze them so you are ready. I am soooo excited for you!

It went really well! I did the best I could but it was hard to tell if they liked me or not, because they were very professional and had their interview hats on. Two out of 3 of my referenced already have let me know that the new company contacted them and they both gave me great references. I hope I get the job! I jump every time the phone rings.... lol. I'll keep you updated and let you all know if they call back. *crosses fingers*

Ditto the on what the other member said. Remember to be confident and friendly but not cocky. I hate seeing cocky when I am interviewing someone and I am sure you would to. Just remember, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks! That's a great idea... I'm going to write a brag list, call my mum up and practice it with her.

I'll let you know how the interview goes!! *crosses fingers*

Woo hoo for YOU!

One thing that I think is always important and can be tricky is to blow your horn and sing the praises of YOU! Why would they want to pick YOU over all the other candidates...? You want to be able to answer this question with gusto.

Develop a brag list of all the wonderful things about you: qualities you possess, super accomplishments and how you did them, special skills you have. Think about vignettes of situations which exemplify all that you have to offer and can bring to the table. Practice blowing your horn with calm and confidence. Have a relative or good friend listen to you as you practice and offer feedback.

Best wishes on your NAILING this job tomorrow! Please let us know how it goes! :-)

I'm sooo excited. It took me 2 months to land an interview in my industry. Even better, it's a union job - maybe help with being let go with no severance pay in the future?

The job pays amazing, and they have great clients and help out in the community.

After the phone call yesterday I started jumping up and down I was so excited. Now it's time to calm down - it's just an interview. But I feel like it's THE interview. I need to put my best foot forward.

How do I not look desperate when I want something sooo badly? I haven't had an interview for 5 years... any tips? I found some 'typical' interview questions online so I practiced them but I also don't want to sound rehearsed either. I feel like it's the first day of school all over again. wow am I ever nervous.
