i do cardio 5-6 days a wk then do strength training 3-4 days a wk. i'm focusing on certain areas right now. i do abs 2-3 days a wk about 20-30min. and on other days i do arms and lower body 2 days a wk about 30-40 min. and if im up to it ill do a total body 1-2/wk 40-60min

Push harder!!

My minor setbacks are nothing compared to where i'm going

Try searching Coach Nicole's ST video's here. You can do cardio everyday. "They" suggest ST every other day and I agree work on different areas. Good for you for doing ANYTHING!

You really can do it however it fits best in your schedule. The important thing is to warm-up your muscles before you start lifting so you can do that by walking in place, doing jumping jacks...whatever. Just something that gets those muscles loosened up and ready to go.

As far as what you do and on what days - totally up to you! I currently have my program set up to do basic cardio 5-6 days a week; 3 days of jogging and 3 days of walking. Then I do strength training in some form at least 3 days a week; upper body, lower body and core.

But as long as you aren't working the same sets of muscles two days in a row (on strength training), you could do strength daily. But without the cardio to shed the fat, you can have the prettiest muscles that you'll never see! It really is about balance and ensuring you are getting a good mix of strength and cardio conditioning.

So long story short - find what works for you and fits into your schedule and then go DO IT!

I'm having difficulty thinking of things to do on my Strength days. I've done pushups and crunches, but yesterday I did just pushups and planks. Am I just supposed to lift weights on the strength day? on my cardio day, I just walk/run for 2-3 miles. Is that all I should do on that day?
