My current plan is to make it to the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writer's Month) "First Minute" write-in and get started writing. We are meeting at Denny's, but I've got a good dinner planned so I expect to get by with water. I'm not really going "in costume", but will be wearing my boots and jacket and pretending I'm dressed up as a biker gal.

We rarely get any trick or treaters, and if we do, they arrive before I get home from work. We stopped buying candy years ago. I'll probably dress up a little for work (an orange shirt with black paper jack-o-lantern eyes, nose & mouth taped on my very pregnant belly), but that's it.
Went to a friend's Halloween party last night and dress up as Humpty Dumpty (the belly bump was Humpty's egghead - see my current profile pic). We've also had the house decorated since the beginning of the month. We usually keep lots of pumpkins and decorative gourds around for decoration until they start to rot months later. I love the fall colors! Don't know if I'll get around to carving any pumpkins this year.
Our door doesn't face the street, so we don't get trick-or-treaters. My office has an annual Halloween Potluck and costume contest. I'll make a decadent dessert (and not eat any of it). I'll wear a costume, too. It'll be a bit of a break from the work stress.

I am calling bah humbug this year. There are almost no little kids in my neighborhood so the kids who come around are from elsewhere--and they tend to be older. And some of them come to the door more than once, which irks me. I never know how many will come to the door, but it is usually very few so I end up with a lot of candy. This year, I bought no candy, and I am turning off the house lights!

What are your plans for Halloween? I am going to be making a beef stew porridge.) Decorating the hedges with orange & black twinkling lights. A ghost flying in the wind with the help of a blowing fan.) Greet all the trick or treaters with a toothless smile hee hee hee! Carving out a creepy looking pumpkin on my doorstep. So I'm ready for Halloween...What will you be wearing for your costume? Going to a party? Or staying home giving treats out and having a blastt?
