I don't have the exact title but there is a series of books with Walking Tours of different cities - I believe San Francisco is one of them. I wish you the best - sounds like a great adventure!

Thank you so much!!! That is something I had never thought of to do. I do have a bike and I could actually take it to the city on BART and then go for the bridge. This I am definitely going to try. thank you again!!!

If you have a bike you can peddle your way across the Golden Gate Bridge. If you don't own a bike the rental price was not bad at all. I did that two years ago and it was fantastic. Peddle over to Sausalito for lunch. I was 55 when I did that and it wasn't too bad... I only had to get off the bike and walk only twice, I think, because of a hill. We started at the bike rental place on the Embarcadero. Beautiful scenery and great exercise... Have fun... emoticon

I have recently retired and I am looking for some low cost, sites to see in the beautiful state of mine. I am a native born Californian but have worked all my life and now I want to just enjoy. Does anyone have any suggestions for the San Francisco Bay Area? Would love to hear from you!!!

Jeannie
