I live in a coast town. The visitors swarm this place hoping to cool off and to watch our fireworks. The interesting thing is the reason why it is cooler here is the marine layer (fog). AND with the fog comes little visibility for the fireworks... .and the tourists grumble about it. LOL

The Huntington Beach Parade is a big family favorite... someone always marches in it. This year our 8 year old granddaughter and her mommy with their Jr. Girl Scout Troop. Then it's a big family BBQ and fireworks at our son's home. Huntington Beach is allowing this year so all our grown children are very excited to share their childhood memories with their kids so of course Pop-Pop has his stash ready to go
My daughter will be in the Lincoln High School mrching band for the parade so I will watch that. We were going to watch the fireworks here as Lincoln puts on a good show, but family up north tugged on the heartstrings and we'll be heading up to Grass Valley :o)
I'll be close to home for the 4th..I have all my grocery shopping done for our barbecue..We don't have to go far for fireworks, the neighbors on the other street put on quite a display. Going to bring the bikes out earlier in the day and take a spin at the park. How about you? Are you having a big celebration on the 4th? Will you be staying home just relaxing on the 4th? Or will you be going out of town?
