I took a week-long vacation to visit a sparkfriend in New Mexico and we have several short vacations planned - one was this weekend to attend a Nature Knowledge Workshop in the San Bernardino mountains in a gorgeous private camp. We will probably take 2-3 longer trips later this summer and/or a series of shorter trips - it's so nice to have a retired husband because I have a very flexible teaching schedule right now ;-)

I will be leaving in two week for a Mediterranean coast tour with my best friend. It was a trip planned through the school where she teaches. We are going to spend 9 days travelling between Milan, Italy; Monaco, and Barcelona, Spain. I can hardly wait! I have never been to any of there places before. I am sure that it is going to be an amazing trip

We're headed to the beach for a few days, part vacation, part college visits. (I can't believe it's already time for that! GULP!) There will be a few weekend camping trips as well, up to beautiful Lake Tahoe and Bassi Falls.
I've been taking mini vacations to Laughlin Nevada for 4 day gambling/bingo trips with friends. When daughter comes back from Afghanistan, will take the trip to Texas.Returning deployed troops land in Texas. It is suppose to be something special to see the plane coming in to land.It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

Sadly, there is no such thing as "vacation time" for some of us. If I want a vacation, I have to take unpaid time off. So I haven't taken more than a couple days off each year since before 2000.
That's okay, though. I make enough of my weekends into mini-vacations to not feel the lack much. I can easily hop a train to SF, spending the whole day there doing any number of things. I will be getting a season pass to Great America, spending several days this summer there.

I booked a hotel today, Newport Beach! And I verified my timeshare week, the week before Newport for a two week trip. (It's been 4 years since taking one). Hope Carlsbad isn't boring, since we no longer go to Legoland due to my son's (advanced 15) age, ha ha.
Vacation time is approaching..Have you made any reservations?
Where are you going on your vacation? Or no I will be staying home this summer...
