I always take the stairs down, but not always take the stairs back up! Today, I walked down four flights, but after lunch rode the elevator back up. I did park at the farthest parking structure though, so I got in an extra 6 block walk too.

I've always preferred stairs, unless as someone mentioned it's a lot of flights. I'm always amused when I'm able to beat the elevator for a flight or two because it takes time to get to the floor, time to close the doors, time to start moving, time to stop, time to open the doors.
(And some elevators are just plain stuffy and less than well-maintained, to boot.)

I always always take the stairs. I have a few classes on the 4th floor of one of the buildings and I'm one of only a few people in my cohort that doesn't wait for the elevator. I don't get it because I usually get to the top before them! People are strange sometimes... lol

I made a choice in the parking structure.. I used the stairs to walk down instead of the elevator. What would be your choice?
Do you use the stairs? Or prefer the elevator?
