When I originally made an account in June, I was in two teams - one for the date joining and one for my age and goal loss amount. I left the date joining one because I didn't actually start until September. (In June I was only looking for a menu planner and SP's wasn't what I needed or wanted.)
I joined the City team by searching, but found it mostly quiet. I also joined a team based on a hobby (online game WOW) but left that when I found it was both relatively inactive and the focus / mindset didn't match me.
I don't remember how I joined **Positive Sparkers** but I'm very glad I did. The team I co-lead, Supportive Sparklers, I was invited to by the leader when she created it. Hacker's Diet I was invited to after mentioning I graph my daily weight on a site based on that which gives me a trend line.
The rest I've joined by searching for: Where are YOU walking to? Cooking for One or Two. Spark California - The Official Team. Nor-Cal Sparkers.
I've been invited to others, but don't want to spread myself too thin so I've stuck to 9 teams for now with about half of them mostly inactive.

I joined this team because I saw it listed but also being born and raised in Southern California I still feel it is my home even though currently I do not reside there. I am trying to get back though but the economy has me scared to make the move, plus not sure there's that many jobs in Cali. The school system is so bad here in SC. I need to get my son into a better school. He is learning disabled and they aren't helping him enough. My goad today: to get through a third day without an unconrolleable binge. Get my exercise in and water!! WE CAN DO THIS!!! LET NOTHING GET IN THE WAY TODAY!!
I lost 65 lbs. Yay!! Now, only 100 more to go..ugh..
