I wear hats or caps or at least a visor whenever I go outside in the sun - learned thru the sad experience of a friend that you can get melanoma skin cancer with repeated exposure on the scalp and it can get pretty advanced without being discovered because it's hidden with hair! I also don't want to look like a prune or raisin and hats, along with sun block, help prevent that. Keeps my hair pretty, too - ha, I laugh because I used to worry about 'hat hair' but just decided to change my hair style to fit the hat rather than be silly about it and take risks that don't need to be taken - works great now!
