I (this is when I am planning well) work on menus on Friday evening or Saturday morning and then make a good list and my hubby does much of the shopping. I like to make something big on the weekend that can make some meals later in the week. Chili is one we can eat on the weekend and have on baked potatoes once and eat just chili once and that takes care of two meals. Also sometimes I make brown rice and have it to make into fried rice.
It's something I like though. If you aren't of a food mindset it would be more of a burden.

Sure seems like it takes me a long time to get meals figured out and substitute items and only for a few days. Guess I will pick a Sat- do as far as I can and then Sun get all the groceries or somethin. Any tips?
