Mine does and I'm grateful-at least for the tootsie rolls. I'm a diabetic and sometimes my blood sugar (fine when I start the workout) will bottom out afterwards. I know mine does the pizza and bagels but I've only seen it once. My not-overweight-teenagers ate the pizza, I did not.

I'm an ingredient label reader, and the tootsie rolls definitely do not pass that test for me (it's probably been at least 30 years since I've had a tootsie roll). I also don't eat take-out pizza nor do I eat bagels . . . so I just walk by all that stuff when they have it.
I do find offering these things to be contradictory to the reasons why most people go to gyms (health, weight loss, etc.). However, Planet Fitness is close to me *and* I can trike there in about 20 minutes (I don't drive; my transportation is an adult pedal-powered tri-wheeler). Most of the staff are friendly, and there is a good selection of equipment to use. The positives outweigh the food goofiness.
Pizza on Mondays Bagels on Tuesdays Sport drinks the rest of the week? I think a tootsie roll is odd but not complaining. They are one of the few chocolate things I do ear.

I always seem to miss the food nights, or mornings. I guess because I always go at different times. So it hasn't been a problem so far. I generally just tune out the tootsie rolls, haha, I am more interested in the pens. I love their purple color! LOL
It's only once a month and we felt that way in the beginning. Just doing our normal workout routine, we have hit the pizza ONCE in months. I grab a tootsie roll every now and again, but just one.
Hubby and I were talking about it, and he said one of the guys at work calls it "pizza planet" BUT..... Hubby used to work out HEAVY lifting weights and he said he did understand why it's once a month and pizza and bagels. When doing big workouts you need some carbs, and you need to learn that you can still eat a little bit of what you like. You won't want to eat pizza or bagels every day, but for a treat once a month, it's not a big deal

My gym only does pizzas the first Monday of the month and bagels the second Tuesday of the month. I just don't touch it. I have an issue with too many folks touching the food so it's never appeling to me. I do eat 2 tootsie rolls after a workout until I get back to my car and eat my snack.

I just joined.....I seen the pizza the other night but I thought it was because they were trying to draw people in with the new year specials! I never realized it was a weekly thing. I also noticed the bagel thing on the wall....hmm now I'm thinking they are just like the typical diet industry they wants make sure they keep customers coming so keep us where we are. It's job / business security for them.
I want to leave a legacy...how will they remember me...
My PF (Finneytown, OH) has pizza Monday's and Bagel Tuesday every week. They also have tootsie rolls and jolly ranchers on the counter. I just recently joined so I haven't eaten there yet and probably won't because I'm diabetic and don't need the extra carbs.

I love the tootsie rolls on the counter. I usually grab one as a reward as I'm leaving. So after burning 400+ calories, a 5 calorie piece of chocolate is MUCH better than any other chocolate as a reward.
And here's how I look at the pizza night (and the same could apply to bagel morning): if you're out in a setting where you're sharing pizza with strangers, you're going to grab one piece of pizza. Maaaaaybe two pieces. If you order that same pizza at home, chances are much higher you're going to eat half the pizza.
If you don't like it. Don't eat it, or don't go when it's pizza day. Simple as that.

I always thought tootsie rools were low calorie snacks.. weight watchers tells its members to eat them.. hmm.. the pizza and bagel days really irk me.. I always forget about them and come in and end up leaving with two slices of pizza.. the whole place smells like it and my gym gets like 15 boxes donated.. crazy.. why cant they have a salad night... or pzza and salad night.. so I can manage myself with one slice with a ton of salad.. perfect dinner

The Des Plaines IL location does this as well. I didn't know about it, and usually go at night...luckily I was off work Monday and went during the day time...I'm not sure I could handle the place smelling like pizza.
Yes! The PF I attend in Moline, IL does have the tootsie rolls both regular and the flavored ones. They also have the bagels on like the third Thursday of the month and Pizza on the first Monday night of the month but I never go on those days cause I don't want to be tempted. I am still working on CONTROL of what I eat. If it is in front of me and I can have it, I will. I agree with you that they should offer healthier choices instead of hampering our efforts of losing weight. I wonder if we could contact the corporate offices to suggest a change?
Does anybody else's PF have tootsie rolls on the counter? Offer bagels and cream cheese with coffee? Or pizza? I know I know its the no judgement zone but cant they offer something healthy? How about veggie sticks or cut up fruit??? Help us help ourselves!!! Many of us choose PF because its not a pick up muscle bound gym but a place where we can work on ourselves while not being judged. Some days that damn tootsie roll is screaming eat me!!! Then i remind myself 4 tootsie rolls is a mile on the treadmill!!! a MILE!!! Isn't there a 5 calorie stick of gum you could offer or i could give to the guy PF just gave the coffee and bagel too that is now mouth breathing next to me? (oh yeah you know what i'm talking about)
