i usually startout with cardio then some weight machines then more cardio. like one hour to one and ahalf hours total

I love my PF too!!!!
I do cardio m-f 50 min on Arc Trainer
upper body weight machines on M-W-F
lower body weight machines on Tue-Thur
abs m-f
medicine ball Tue-Thur

Great overall body toning workout and cardio for the heart!

The reason i'm doing Planet Fitness to be stronger! My legs are weak and of course, I want to tone all all of me as well.

I tried the various machines when I started and began with the stationary bike but quickly moved to the treadmill. (Which I owned at home and HATED - sold it so I could join PF with no regrets about having it at home)

my legs are too weak to do the elliptical which is my goal.

I also use resistance machines for legs & upper body.

I LOVE Planet Fitness!!!!

I remember when I just started out...take it slow and steady and work your way to a routine! But most of all have fun doing it!!! emoticon

I tried a set plan but it didn't work for me.

I am now starting on the elliptical, still barely making it to 10 min on cardio level then, I have been going to the arm and shoulder strength machines partly cause I'm still recovering from the elliptical. I also try a make sure I get on the abd crunch machine.

So, now I am just working what my body is letting me do, hopefully soon I can start developing a regular schedule. But right now I'm still a newbie!

Changing my lifestyle 1 lb, 1inch and 1step at a time!

I do cardio monday-friday and I do upper body weights M-W-F and lower body weights on Tu-Thur. I do ab machines every day and use the medicine ball with upper body days...take off from gym Sat and Sun and exercise outside or around the house. ususally Sunday is my complete day off!!!! emoticon

I do cardio only on MWF and the circuit room on tues/thurs, so that gives me cardio and a quick total body strenght routine. Not all clubs have the circuit room, though. I do know the staff at PF can take you through all the machines, show you how to set them, and then give you a printed out plan based on your goals. If you are unsure, you should totally utilize their help :)

Always a stationary bike warmup. On strength days, 15 mins. On cardio days, as long as I can (usually about 35 mins).

Always focus on lower body. My biggest issue with exercising MORE then I am is my legs keeping up the pace with all of the weight they're supporting, so i'm focusing on toning/strengthening the leg muscles. I hit every single leg machine emoticon

On upper body days, ill only hit a few leg machines (quads, hammies, calves, and glutes) and rotate through all of the arm machines.

I love using the Arc Trainer for cardio....it uses every muscle and I feel like I get a complete workout~! I usually stick with the weight machines - unless you have a trainer or have used free weights before I think there is less chance of an injury by doing something wrong by sticking with the machines.
Never hurts to just do something different to keep your body guessing but I always go back to my basics...Arc trainer and weight machines thats where I made the most difference in my body shape! Have fun! Love PF!

What machines do you do for cardio and strength training. I usually use the treadmill, but am looking for new ideas. Should I use free weights sometimes instead of the machines?
