A patient of mine told me she quit using Weight Watchers Online because she didn't have online access at work. I really wished that I could tell her that she should switch to, but it has the same problem. Here are my suggestions for reaching those who have intermittent online access:

1) allow entering from favorites and copying from recent weeks while offline.

2) allow pre-planning of food when connected, with confirmation/portion adjustment offline when eaten

3) create a look up later entry option - enter the text you would have entered in the search line, and look up when next connected.

4) make a pocket/wallet friendly sized printable template for jotting down things manually for "look up later"

I just returned to Sparkpeople after using myfitnesspal for the last year. I like the ranges that Sparkpeople provides - for me, I seem to be able to manage my points in a range better than hitting a single target. However, I need offline access since I work in a building where my signal strength is pretty low, so I usually have 3G issues during the day (no wi-fi available at work either because of secure network). Any advance knowledge of offline access being provided as a new feature in the near future? Don't want to go back to the other app, I like all of Sparkpeople's other features! Thanks.
