I do have a scanner at home and have an approved food list and the frozen entree list. Don't know the dates on them, don't have them with me now. But if you SparkMail me with your email, I'll send them.

The frozen entrees count as a combination of protein, starch, veggie, & fruit (don't remember ratios) and are limited to once or twice a week after the first 30 days on plan.

I was disappointed that no Kashi frozen entrees were on there, because they were usually the healthiest options for me, pre-SG. I'm guessing it's because they're usually loaded with whole-grain starches, which would take us past our starch limits.

EVOO/Red Wine Vinegar is my salad dressing. Sometimes just Red Wine Vinegar if I am planning on using my fat elsewhere for the day. I like the taco sauce idea, I will have to try that. I like to use crushed red pepper and tobasco to add a little kick to foods, and doesnt hurt it helps up the calorie burn.

I was given an approved frozen entree list after my first 30 days on plan. I like to keep a few in the freezer for those surprise attack days when you seem to never be able to catch up let alone stop to make a meal, and also for the hubby on the days he is not digging whatever healthy fare I am making he can have one of those and I dont have to break my rule of non plan-approved foods in the house. =)

Brenda-that's funny, I have complained about that numerous times too. The ingredients in the Fat free dressings are even worse than just the light version. There is abundant artificial ingredients/chemicals/sodium in them in attempts to keep some reasonable taste, and I don't think it seems to go along with the eating of whole and natural foods that the rest of SG revolves around. The few grams of additional fat are much better for you than the creepy additives they put in!

That's why I switched to mostly using taco sauce as my salad dressing. It is fat free but contains almost all "normal" ingredients!

funny you say that, I was just rereading the booklet Friday and they tell you flat out not to use WW brand cottage cheese because of the elevated sodium. Surprising that a company like WW would rate so high on sodium of all things...maybe that's why I never favored those meals much.

I'm a HUGE label reader...weight watchers frozen always seemed the worst to me...Same goes for LITE products...personally, I'd prefer to limit my product use than use LITE/Fat Free things (I've voiced my complaint about these products numerous times to the counselors...I think they are tired of it).

It is still Slim4Life here in Texas, and there are no frozen food choices in our plan either. In fact, I'm on maintenance now, and the counselor advised against using frozen meals more than twice a week, and seemed to think Weight Watchers brand is the worst offender. I'll have to say I had my first frozen Lean Cuisine, and canned chicken noodle soup on the same day, and was up 2 pounds the next morning, probably due to the sodium.

Frozen entree list is a new one for me too, but for as inconsistent the centers are it wouldn't shock me. I would think since they are so strict about salt/sodium no frozen entree would be allowed.

Personally, I've never seen an approved frozen entree list. Seems wrong to have one since they are so big on natural foods with low sodium. I've done my entire 27 weeks without using processed foods (except bread and their own snacks)

You dont have to go to all the work to type it out, but thank you for offering. =) I just thought if someone had a scanner and could email it to me that would be easiest.

Have they updated the approved Frozen Entree list? I have NEVER been able to find any South Beach foods, so I get the closest possible thing from Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine based on food description, calories, etc.

Thanks folks!

hi the one I was given April 2010 is dated 2009 so I doubt yours is different, from the people I know who were on it when it was Slim4Life, it changed a little when they rebranded as SlimGenics. but I don't think it has changed since.

I started in October. I could type out a copy of what mine looks like... but you'll have to give me a few days. I'll send it to you in a message once I have it typed out.

Hello everyone! Is there anyone that has recently begun the SlimGenics program that would be willing to share their Comprehensive Food List with me? Mine is dated 4/2008 and I was given it when I started 9/2009. I know there were several additions/changes while I was doing the program (finished 6/2010) but when I asked they would never give me a new Food List. I would be interested to see how many adds/deletes and portion changes there have been.

Thanks!
