Well done Cathy...yes I agree a healthy BMI is a must! I doubt you will look haggard unless you go beneath the healthy range, I aimed for mid range.

Good for you Donna...getting back on track. Somehow with all the chocolate goodies around it feels the same as it did as Christmas.
My SW friend that goes to group with me is really struggling! I'm trying to encourage her but I don't think she's listening.... Maybe because I had my fill at my birthday it's easy for me to say that. I don't want to sound mean!!
Well, at least if we count the syns it will help.

So glad you are near your target weight Cathy, you have to then do the 'challenging' bit and 'maintain' - which YOU CAN DO! You will know the correct weight for you. emoticon

I had a very bad day yesterday and overate on the extras but today I have been back on track, thank you my dear friends for supporting messages received. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I shall be trying not to eat chocolate over the Easter holiday,i don't buy it but i know there will be plenty when i visit my grandsons,i shall do my best to resist having any.
I have been to Tesco to shop this morning, bought lots of fruit & veg,i have only got 2lbs to lose before i reach my target weight,i havn't made my mind up yet whether to go for a lower target weight,i think sometimes when you are older losing too much can make you look haggard,i will wait and see, i would like to get my bmi in the healthy range.

I don't have any choc eggs coming my way either...have been invited to my daughters for lunch on Monday...roast lamb so will be a plate of veggies for me. Thankfully she's losing weight too so very health conscious where we are both concerned.
I have an old work colleague popping in to visit this afternoon...will enjoy catching up with her. She's younger than me and still working for social services, she's doing a placement in my town.

Irene, hope your motivation is on it's way back again...tiredness is so draining.

Hi on Thursday , I am still here reading mails trying to get motivated again, I am held back through tiredness , I was up for 3 hours last night , I usually do morning exercises but have no energy this morning. I am going out later so will get some walking in , I need to collect some knitted chickens with small Easter eggs in , they are being made by a friend and are for children in the family. I don't think I will be getting any Easter eggs given to me.
Enjoy your Easter , Irene emoticon

Plug on Irene....you will get back into the right mind set very soon.

Yes Cathy is right, I'd heard about it on facebook and also told in my group this morning. Personally I don't eat them because they're wheat but I've posted a comment on the Weetabix fb page and evidently they are going to email me further info to explain why they had to change the contents.

Although my weigh in was 3lbs up this morning (fortunately I lost 3lbs last week!) it does feel good to be eating some nice SW food today and drinking lots of water again. My day was really lovely and the meal last night was a nut roast, new potatoes and fresh veggies....followed by...a rather large slice of banoffee pie!! it was good though!! lol.
Looking forward to a good weeks eating...and counting the syns.

I have just noticed that Alpen light bars are no longer a healthy extra b choice, they have changed the recipe and there will be more calories and less fibre in the new bars, thats a shame as i like them.
There are other cereal bars though and i still have a few boxes of the old ones.

I am ignoring scales at the moment, that tells you a lot. Not as I am going mad on sweet or fats but I have been snacking more and right now it's not important. But I am not giving up of course, I am struggling on exercise too. I did a 20 mins daily session. Tried to increase it to 30 but can't. Not all at once so looking at a few 10 min sessions . I just did a 20 min walk to local shops and post box . That's enough for now. Must look at my stir fry veg pack and marinating chicken strips soon for today's lunch, I do try! Irene

Sun is shining but a rather cold wind with it. I've had some lovely cards, presents and flowers so am very blessed! Joseph is taking me out for a meal tonight so looking forward to that.

Monday again the weeks fly by. I forgot to weigh in today. That is so unlike me but good Ina way that I am not obsessed with numbers. My husband is eating very little at present so I am not preparing meals in advance ,I will wait to see if he fancies soup or eggs perhaps ,.
Yesterday I had WW ready meal for myself at lunch time as M didn't want anything ! He had a mini apple pie early evening so I had a ham sandwich. I like 3 meals a day , i can still have them .irene

Hi everyone,Irene, glad to hear that M is improving, your breakfast sounds really tasty.
I am just watching the London marathon on tv,my husband has taken part in that twice and quite a few other marathons,he has had to stop running now as he has bad knees.
We are going to visit my son and his family this morning and then going to have a lazy afternoon.
Have a good day everyone.

Yes Donna...my birthday is next Tuesday the 15th!! Will try and get a pic posted of the dress and event! I trained as a dressmaker when I left school...that was a long time ago now! lol.

Irene hoping your husband will start to feel better very soon and that you will look after yourself. I think at those times we just do what we have to, and if you don't have a lot of time for meal prep...grabbing something has to do.

Ha ha Bushra...love a Plan B!!! That takes a woman's touch to diversify!! well done!!
Oh how lovely to be heading off to UAE for a summer break...hope you can stay in touch with us...and yes, ravishing...why not? emoticon I see you heading into the 70s CLUB!!

Today I've been house cleaning and sewing some of my new dress and then off to Sarah's to keep her house rabbit (Poppy) company for a while. The family are away for the w/e and I think she is missing them. She never sits and lets me pet her for almost an hour. Someone else comes in to feed her so she does have other company too.

I've had an early birthday present from Joseph...some "Young Living Essential Oils." He took out a subscription for me which means I can get 24% discount on my purchases. I'm having horrendous problems with my sore eyes and ears...that I wanted to try some oils instead of using meds that seem to only help short term, if at all. I'm amazed at the range of ailments that can be helped by essential oils and hope to build up my collection as I can afford to.

Oh Bushra I feel your disappointment but they didn't reject you, it sounds as if they were adhering to the rules. I hope your husband manages to find a way round it when he gets home again. Well done for not caving though. emoticon

Good day here...counting those syns again and doing a daily deductible from the total permitted. That certainly worked for me last week.
I'm trying to finish making a new dress in time for my special birthday meal. It has been so fiddly but thankfully I think I got that part right this afternoon!! My trouble is I procrastinate when I can't get it to go exactly right!!

Hop everyone is doing well this week.

Irene emoticon for bouncing back.
Good Luck for Tuesday Donna, You'll do great, emoticon

I'm really internalizing the value of getting up after tripping up, here with you guys .Also learning to not turn to food when feeling blue, though at a real slow rate. Iv had a pretty low day today. Had an interview at the club, we'd applied for permanent membership and I had to attend a meeting today. My husband works overseas and since he was the principal applicant at the time of applying, they said that he needs to be present for the meeting and only the spouse attending won't do. I have been waiting for a yr and half for this meeting and we were rejected. I cried while driving home. Was invited for tea (college friends) that really lifted my spirits, the best part was that I ate sensibly and didn't binge. emoticon

Best wishes and hugs

A mid week catch up, I have had a real fit of the blues and that always coincides with wrong way of eating. Yesterday a really bad day Had an unsettling morning shared a fish and chip portion at lunch time. Two of us. We finished off a box of chocolates in afternoon, then didn't want much to set. Dh had a small apple pie I had a banana. So today I feel brighter in myself and that reflects in food choices today . It's a lovely day so M and I just going to walk to library and fruit and veg shop. Have a good day Irene

Hi Bushra...congrats on being 1 kg down!! I too know how we can live and breathe our little world of what to eat or not to eat!! Actually it can be quite exhausting too!! And for sure must bore everyone around us!! lol. Anyway you are doing very well and seeing a new number on the scale inspires us all.
Glad you have your mum & sister there to join in all that fun!! I love my times with my daughter and she only lives about a 5 min drive from me.

Still going strong here...I so want to see the scales dip down this week and think it will because I feel so much better not taking those antibiotics etc. I've been counting my syns and just have 9 left for tomorrow!! We have a taster session in group on Weds...what to make and take?

Have a brill week everyone!!

Hi, hope everybody's doing well.
I just popped in my spark page and the goodies and beautiful notes brought a smile and tears too, so touched emoticon
I'm down 1 kg and was so excited to see 81 on the scale after a loooong time. I have been following the plan mostly but haven't been too vigilant or particular about maintaining a log or tracking what I'm I'm eating, actually my strategy is that I want to wean myself off obsessing about food, thinking or worrying etc about it, actually talking too.I tend to blab about my plan, my goal etc to so many people that I don't know I feel I overdo it and get jinxed ( sorry if that doesn't make any sense) emoticon so I'm working at eye balling my portions, making good choices and eating from a variety of healthy options. I think this will help even after I get to my goal weight because there isn't any strict regimen I will be on or off.
This is in sync with what Irene said, diet should be a way of life and I think Im so done with yo yo ing now emoticon
Donna, have a good ,restful easter break, you deserve some quality 'me' time. We're only going to be off for 4 days, 18-21, but looking forward to that too.
Janet, we do celebrate Mother's Day as we do other occasions, I'm close to my mum and younger sis, we have a kind of trio to vent out, laugh like crazy, shop, cook etc
The club pool in indoors, great facility, Iv been there twice only though.
It gives me so much strength to read about how you all hang in there and stay strong, keeping a positive mindset. I feel I'm not alone. emoticon emoticon

have a great week ahead

After last weigh in I had the serious talk with me too Irene!!! Why when we know so much is it not working that way?
I always write down what I eat but it's the syn value I've been skimpy with...this week is a struggle but I'm still deducting from my weekly allowance of 105 syns. Should do it by the skin of my teeth!! lol.
I mostly aim for free meals and that helps balance it out.

We had rain over night and still wet out there this morning. Nice to have a holiday to look forward to...I'm having a few days in Leicester mid July, I haven't been there since 1992. I have two elderly 2nd cousins and a grown godson and his family there.

Wishing everyone a brill week to come!! My weigh in WILL be less this week!! emoticon

Hi on Sunday , I read the bedroom clock wrong so I was up an hour early. it doesn't really matter I made my self a pot of tea and been catching up on spark mail,
I hada bad few days then was shocked to find I was at top of my 5 lbs allowance . Can't go any further but it has to start going back.
I eat healthily don't i? I do not over indulge do I? I do exercise daily, don't I ?
Well I started thinking seriously about all those questions , I also started writing down all I eat and minutes excised daily ,
I can not find my SW intro books I must find them and go back to basics,
I was interested to read the word diet is from Greek meaning Way of Life and that's what it must be.
We went out for lunch yesterday with family members. I was good and chose an
Italian burger with green salad no bun just the freshly made burger with smoked bacon in and basil served with a tomato sauce, though I did pinch a few chips too from my sons dish .
I had one glass if red wine too.
So it's try harder and don't give up. Just booked a week in
Southport for end of May so I have that to aim for now . How are you doing ?

Hi guys, struggling a little today but finish work for two weeks tomorrow (Easter school holiday) and going to play 'catch up' with lots of things including me! Computer misbehaving too so using my daughters laptop.

I like your ideas Irene, going to keep April active too and counting the syns. My consultant has given us all the challenge of eating 5 free food, 5 superfree foods, 5 fruit and 5 veg each day. I have started doing this, it can't do any harm can it! Keeping a good watch on the syns is impt too, you're right, Though be careful my pal was cutting down the syns in prep for Easter and dropped 1.5lbs below her target and was really unhappy - wish I had that problem!
hugs to you all

Irene, I don't personally buy WW meals but believe they are low fat so sound like a better option than the co-op ones. Glad the scales were kind to you...

I'm doing better eating wise this week so that feels good. I'm truthfully counting my syns every day. I have decided to do a running total and deduct from the weeks total of 105 syns.
I went to see my grandson's project work at school this afternoon and evidently one of them is getting a prize in tomorrow's assembly so I shall be going to the school again tomorrow.

I like Irene's motto to be Active in April...I'm hoping for good weather to be able to get out and do more walking.

Hello on Thursday . Yes I am going ok this week it's so easy to go off track and grab the chocolate or wine . But that's only a quick fix I know I have to be as fit and focused as I can be,
For me planning is everything , I plan our meals daily and I prepare them early . It's important for my husband to eat healthily too so I am looking after both of us,
I did get weighed today and was much the same which was a relief . I am using more ready prepared meals now but do read labels.i was shocked to read labels on so called healthy meals sold by Coop. Fat 27 per front calories 600 plus .what ? That's ridiculous , the prepared packs of veg are a luxury but I don't care . My time and energy are more important than money . Does anyone buy WW ready meals or similar ? I would like to have a few in freezer for busy days., I hope you are all doing well in April ! My motto is be active in April , warm wishes . Irene

I was emoticon one pound this week...well, it's been a pretty up and down week emotion wise and too much snacking as well as a meal out after the breast clinic visit on Tuesday, so hardly surprising. I'm still in my range but hope to go down the scale a little next week and after.

How is life with everyone else...??

Sorry you've been struggling Irene. Glad you're now dealing with the pills and hope your husband gets those aids plugged in again...must be hard work for you.

I'm with you on not wanting to face the scales...I take my last antibiotic tomorrow morning and hope my system gets back to normal again.
Yesterday I was at the breast unit and thankfully given the all clear. The lump they found is my old lump and evidently a little smaller so no worries there.

Have a good week everyone...me on plan too.

A new month and a definite new start for me , again! Had a busy few days M was a lot worse than seal then I find he's not been taking his pills. I don't know why ,he won't wear hud hearing aids ,as " he doesn't need them" could be a similar thing re pills. I have taken over pill dispenser, he's had another ECG we wait results. Lots been going on and I didn't cope well . Went off plan and too tired to exercise was my excuse, back in business again from now , I need a good push please. Hope you are all doing well I am avoiding scales I do not want to know yet, Irene

Great idea Irene...yes sitting at the table is the best thing for the digestion.

Bushra...well done you for getting regular walking in and signing up at the local club for swimming. Is that an indoor pool?
Thanks, yes the tooth seems to be settling, I hope it continues now. You are right, toothache is horrible!!

Wonderful day here in the sunshine but I gather further north it wasn't so.
I'd planned to do ironing & hoovering this morning and walking this afternoon but my husband had other ideas. So we walked before lunch at the Country Park for 2 hrs... After lunch I got down to the chores.

Bushra do you have Mother's Day in Pakistan?
Clocks altering tonight for us and then the long awaited Mother's Day tomorrow...enjoy yours Irene. I have been told that my son & daughter are coming to see me tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks Janet, feel better soon emoticon a toothache can really hurt!
Irene, that sounds like a smart set, happy for you, must try tricking myself into eating less too emoticon though I must admit, my appetite has reduced or it could be the veggies and fibre rich diet filling me up. I am ignoring my fruit intake these days, not a fruit lover, but I enjoy bananas.
Weather is quite pleasant these days, I'm walking for half an hour most days. My sister and I are applying for guest membership for swimming at a local club. Hopefully we can start swimming by next week, looking forward to that.
cheers emoticon

Hi on Friday , I read that making an attractive place setting for eating makes you eat less? I have just had an Amazon delivery of a set of everyday crockery in black and white , plus red table mats, I do try to always sit at the table to eat. So today's meals will look good and I hope take good. emoticon

Hi everyone,
Well the scales did move down 2lbs overnight BUT...I was actually up 1lb when I weighed in. No matter I was OK with that.
My tooth pain got so bad that I saw the dentist yesterday and am now taking antibiotics for 7 days...along with pain meds of course. I sincerely hope it settles soon.

Bushra, emoticon for being down another 1lb. I know it feels too slow at times but believe me it does stay off better that way. Oh the brownies...yeah, I wonder why we do that sometimes...but good for you getting right back on plan again! I do a lot of baking too, for my husband so mostly things he requests and I'm not fussed about.
I love soy sauce too, especially in a stir fry!!

W/e coming up....let's hope the weather is lovely and we can all enjoy it.

Hi all,
I dropped a pound ,I take it (although at times feel like flying to my goal weight) trying to keep things in perspective. This past w/e a good friend visited me and I went all blabbering about my goal/eating programme/w.loss , being in control etc etc the very next day I binged on fudge brownies ( yes you guessed it right, I had baked them emoticon )
On the up side , I picked myself up the very next day.
Glad to hear you had a w/e treat Donna, I noticed you really don't have a very long way to go to your target emoticon
Irene, the only soups I really enjoy are chicken corn or hot and sour (Chinese style) and lentils (all sorts) and I like to put a dash of soy sauce for flavor.
Janet well done for staying on plan emoticon

Hope we all have a great April emoticon

Ha ha Donna...if the scales move down as far as I need them to...it will be a miracle!! lol.
I was wondering what result you would have with the Success Express. Still, we have to at least enjoy our birthdays when they come round. Mine is 3 weeks away....on a Tuesday, day before weigh in!! Bad timing!!

Irene which supermarket do you use? my sil uses Sainsburys a lot. I agree, much better than lugging it all back if you haven't got a car.

I'm struggling with the new crown I had fitted a few weeks ago, seems my bite isn't quite right now. So tried to eat soft food today and was careful to stay on plan 100%...I made it too.
Had a rainy day here today. I did some shopping and was glad to get home again in the warm.

Hi in Tuesday , my parsnip soup was edible if a but bland. Maybe add spice to what's left ,
I had a big food delivery yesterday on line ordering is ideal for me. So lots if basics in now , i want to buy f and v fresh locally as I need it, but did get some frozen veg in too fit busy days.
The scales stay much the same, I can live with that as long as no more pounds creep on. I have increased exercise ! Hope you are all having a good week , Irene

Irene I hope your soup was nice. I really like Carrot and Leek soup, though love Lentil soup too. The Butternut squash sounds good Janet, I'll try that next time maybe.

Janet don't worry about dropping the ball, it happens to us all at times. You are at target and you'll get it sorted. I'm not too worried about weigh in today after all I've had a birthday and things could've been worse. I may have a chat with my consultant about my goal weight tonight, see how it goes. Its a shame when I have really followed the different eating plan until Saturday. But weekend was SO WORTH it.

Yes the runners did well and there was a good crowd along the way to encourage them.
All us mums have next Sunday to look forward too!!
My fave homemade soup is carrot, butternut squash and coriander. I just cook together chopped up carrots, squash and an onion in a veggie stock cube until soft. Then I spoon it into the liquidiser for a blitz. I pour it all back into a large saucepan, add some coriander, salt & pepper and dilute to your liking. Heat it again and serve. It freezes very well too.

I've somehow dropped the ball this week and know my eating is including too much snacking...sigh! Not hopeful for this weeks weigh in.

Donna, glad you had a fantastic surprise for your birthday!! That's what memories are made of.

Belated birthday greetings to Donna,
I am Ina soup making mood, not really the time of year but a bowl of healthy soup is a good light meal and I know what's in my soup. Did a tomato and basil one yesterday added a couple of sausages to it for dh and he loved it. Looking what I had in stock parsnips jumped out at me , looking up parsnip soup recipe. Now it's in the slow cooker , I want to make lentil soup next , bid them all up in portion sizes and freeze, it's smelling good anyway, anyone know any easy SW soups? Have a good week . Irene

Oh dear Irene, I hope when you get to your sons you don't think he's forgotten you!! Next Sunday is Mother's Day! The clocks will also be springing forward too!
I'm with you on the extra treats creeping in...they are definitely my downfall too.

My husband had a terrible nights sleep, or lack of it so he's still in bed and looks like I shall be meeting up with my family to cheer my son on as he runs the half marathon. Lovely sunny day here but suspect it's not very warm out there...except for the runners of course!!

Have a good day everyone.

Hi on Mother's Day , I expect there will be cake at my sons today, but shall allow myself a small life but no other extras today. They don't drink alcohol so won't be any wine!
I am told I am good at motivating others , but am in need to motivate myself now. I am at top end of the few pounds I allowed myself above goal weight. I know my own weaknesses , my main meals are fine but the little treats creep up at times . I got weighed today and immediately thought I am joining WW! Then told myself don't be stupid, any diet , for want of a better word, works if you follow it properly. I know and like SW,

Hi everyone,
Lisa, good to hear from you again and that you're back on the SW plan. Your blog was very inspiring and I think it does help to write it all out in black and white.

Irene...decluttering is good in whatever field is needed. I've just had a long discussion with my husband about our sleeping problems...that's sometimes a biggie in this house.

Bushra...you have a lovely w/e too.

Donna, have fun celebrating...they tell me syns don't count on birthdays!!! lol

I had a mammogram about 10 days ago and have been recalled for a second look see. I was expecting this as its my 1st mammogram here since about 1997 so they will have forgotten all about a solid lump I have. Spain took a great interest in it too...lol.

Tomorrow after our morning meeting we'll then run up the road to watch my son Matt run past as he runs the town Half Marathon!! He has done all his training so hope he makes a good time.

Thank you ladies for the encouraging and supportive comments on my blog post today. The support here means a lot to me.

Today I have done two long walks with my dog and walked over 12,000 steps and nearly 9km already. The canal walk was particularly enjoyable even if I did get caught in a light shower. It is the first time this year that I have been there and it was lovely to see all the ducks and swans again.

Happy birthday Donna 21 again. ,
Looking at last mails about scales and weights made me reflect on how weight affects our feelings and it shouldn't be so, Though I have done it all my life.
But now am decluttering physically and mentally , do I need this in my life or in my mind? Yes, than find space , or deal with it. No! Well throw it out again in reality or on my mind. Most of you know my situation I can cope better if I am not worrying over what's not important. I do eat healthily and shall continue to do so, and still following general SW plan which suits me , I haven't time or energy to count calories, measure a piece of chicken or ask is this piece of cheese bigger than a matchbox. Now this is how I must do it, we all have to find what works best for us
But I can recommend clearing out what's not important ! Irene

Oh zumba...definitely not for me!! lol. Good on you Irene and Donna.

Donna...sorry you were up this week. To be honest I was up 1/2lb and it's peeved me all day. According to my scales and the difference with SW ones I should have stayed the same! I heard some others commenting about their weight so maybe the scales need calibrating?
Oh well, hope your success express goes well, I've never tried that.
Oh a brighter note my SW friend only has 1lb to go for her 2 stone award!! I'm really happy for her.

Boy it's been cold her today...1st day of Spring tomorrow...who would know it?

Hope you got your call Irene. I have been to zumba gold before and enjoyed it. In my classes some people do sit down for some of the exercises.

Unfortunately I put on weight this week and was totally fed up yesterday but realise that I have been overdoing the carbs (too many baked potatos I think) and so am trying Success Express the only difference being 1/3 free food and 2/3 superfree foods. If you want a second portion then you can so long as you can have more if you have 1/3 free food and 2/3 superfree again. I'll try anything and so far so good!

However if it doesn't work and I don't lose this week maybe I will adjust my target weight after all I seem to be maintaining around 12.10, although I have been a bit lighter, I do feel good right now.

Hi on Wednesday , i am waiting for a phone call today the medical centre , I had started a complaint procedure re lack of respect which I am assured will be taken seriously .
But moving on to other things I went to a demo of Zumba Gold on Monday at W.I
It is for all ages and abilities ! It was fun and energetic but i only managed the first few minutes. As it got more intense I dropped out as did two others , but I could still do some of the movements seated, a lot of arm movements and knee lifting and so on. I had been asked to do the vote of thanks too maybe not the ideal person to do so but I could see it was a good way of exercising and everyone had enjoyed it, my upper legs ached the next day but not too bad. Enjoy your day Irene

Irene, in my opinion you are quite right to have your say. I thought that was a big thing here about respecting the elderly etc. I hope they listen and change their procedures.
I know what you mean about the expectations of weight. When I started out with SW I really wanted to be 10 stone again but having struggled to get the weight moving I set my target at 10st 5lbs. I'm glad I did because I really wouldn't be able to sustain a lower weight and I don't want the stress of trying to either. I feel that as I'm getting older I'm trying to be more realistic.
I agree....we are more than a number on a scale!!

I left Joseph to get off to his Tai Chi class this morning and got my exercise in by hoovering the whole house.
Looking forward to going to my SW group tomorrow, will see what I've been up to?

A frustrating day with an ECG machine that didn't work on my husband, I am having to make an official complaint not about machine but the way he was treated without respect, I am upset as I am not a comparing type ,
Anyway I shall try to avoid comfort eating! I feel very stressed .
But wanted to thank you all for encouraging me as you do, there's a very good blog on 100 things the scales don't tell you. I think that's title , I read it and it cheered me up. I am more than a number on a scale. Yes I am maintaining , I. Didn't see able to get past 143 so I thought that's my limit. Two years later I am 146 , I think that's ok considering age and ability and life style , i can live with it. Will tell you later about a Zumba session last evening. Wow
A lot going on at the moment . Irene

Sounded like good planning there Irene, hope it worked out well too.

Cathy, hope your dentist visit was anything other than a check up. I've just changed dentists and am happy with my choice. My last one just seemed to want to extract and no save teeth!!
Sunny day here, I've been to the doctors for some prescriptions and later I'll collect my grandsons from school...all back into the routine again now.

Hope everyone has a good day and the weigh ins go well this week.

Hello everyone,it is a lovely morning here,i had planned to go for a walk but just remembered i have a dental appointment that i made some time ago,i think it is just for a check up at least i hope thats all its for.
My dentist only takes private patients now and as i didnt want to change dentists i went onto denplan, sometimes i am not sure if it is worth the cost, but it is quite hard to get one on the nhs here.

Hi on a lovely Sunday morning . The scales don't show much change but i am doing my daily dozen as exercises used to be called I had a week of 15 mins minimum now 20 minimum . They all mount up.
We eat at our sons home most Sunday, I am planning ahead and had fruit and yoghurt breakfast . They eat lunch late afternoon so to avoid being too hungry I am going to have some home made veg soup about noon. If I plan ahead I should be ok , hope you are all doing well now we have spring sunshine. Irene

Irene you rightly deserve your moment of being our emoticon today!! I'm often encouraged by your determination especially with the pressure you are under sometimes.
Sorry your husband is having heart issues...that's exactly the same route I'm following at the moment with my husband; he should get his results mid week.

Good for you Donna having a fantastic day! I remember w/es feeling like that when I worked all week.

Feeling somewhat better today but still taking the disgusting cough linctus! I was booked to look after my twin grandsons today while mum was on a child protection training course but thankfully their auntie stepped in. I did go out and walked around the supermarket but not much energy so glad to get home again. I don't seem to have much appetite so thankfully all the sitting around isn't an issue.

Have a good w/e everyone, they say we have 18 degrees coming tomorrow here in the south!!

Irene, glad you are enjoying your 'turn't to be encouraged and celebrated, you really SO DESERVE it! You have reached your 'target' and just have to keep on doing what you are to keep 'sane' - be proud when you avoid too many treats and of course polish that halo. emoticon New cross stitch projject seems like a great idea.

Hope everyone else is having a good day, I am having a fantastic day. Its was busy first thing today but relaxing now. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Friday .Sorry you been unwell JE a cough can be so wearing, I am ok but been running round in circles, certainly getting exercise in. I walked twice yesterday to the local medical centre, I went once to ask were my X-ray results in yet? Yes but not even reviewed by doctor yet! Maybe today, while there I mentioned my dh wasn't well, nothing serious but in view of his age and general medical condition I would like him to be seen by a doctor. I had just got home when a doctor range to ask for more details. When I said he gets breathless after any exertion he told em bring him here this morning,. So back I went to me. centre with dh. Seems he has an erratic heart beat and is to have ECG and blood tests, it explains why he's had no energy and sleeps a lot too.
Diet wise not doing well. When there's a lot going on I go for bread , I can eat my healthy meal then really crave bread, it can just be bread with a low fat spread but I need bread. Comfort food I suppose. Must try to plan meals better and calm down . Irene

Sorry I've been missing...had an awful cold, high temp and now a cough...really laid me low this week. I didn't go to my weekly weigh in, first one I've missed since I started last June. Thankfully Joseph has been looking after me which is wonderful and very caring.

Bushra, I was wondering about your weather over there...I imagine it gets very hot once summer arrives. That sounds like a good contingency plan...let us know how it works out weight wise.

Donna, glad you feeling very positive emoticon Yes we've had some sunshine too but the mornings have gone back to chilly.

I'm still positive even though I only lost 0.5lbs to yesterday, had hoped for more. But had my sulk yesterday and back to it big style today. emoticon I am really enjoying the sunshine this week. emoticon . Thanks Bushra my mindset is back on positive. I did lose another 1/2lb and next week will lose even more emoticon .

Hi all,
feel better soon Janet emoticon
Donna thanks for cheering me on the race, I thoroughly enjoyed your upbeat, happy post, mindset makes a huge difference.
Hope you're doing well Irene, I agree any movement is better than no movement and the coffee treat in the end sounds yum emoticon
I'v been busy out shopping for my school wardrobe for summer. Days are becoming warmer and I want to be prepared. Retail therapy is best to keep one's mind off food so have been exceptionally good these past few days. Also, I'm trying out something new, I never used to take a filling snack/lunch to school and mid morning nibbled on either biscuits of some sort or fruit but never felt satisfied.By the time Id be driving home, I stopped at the nearest store to stuff myself with crisps/soda chocolate (just had to ).Change of strategy; I'm packing a nice , healthy sandwich (since a few days) and feeling so good. It keeps me running till I reach home.Have to see if the new routine has any effect on my weight loss.
love

I've done a virtual walk across America here on SP...we were so vivid with our imagination and it was really good fun. It was one I found online and we could all print off a certificate at the end.

Yesterday I received a new pair scales...they are like Irene's all singing all dancing ones!! I weighed this morning and they weigh 1/2 lighter than my WW ones. Reason for the new ones...to use some hotel chain points before I lose them but I would never spend that amount of money on mere scales!!
Rather a dull day here. Not sure what I'm doing, I had such a terrible day yesterday and night, sneezing etc...not sure if it's a cold or hayfever...either one, I don't want it!!!

Donna, I was told I may be recalled because they have no records on me....that's if they find my solid lump interesting?

Have a great day everyone...
