emoticon Jackie & Donna...that's all we can do.

Donna, I think counting the syns, even the 'invisible' ones....will certainly help.

Weighed in this morning and did indeed STS...I was happy about that.
One poor lady that I weighed had gained 10lbs!! (made me think I would never complain of gaining a pound or two again!!)

Yes it's hot here too but better than the rain I've seen too much of! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Jackie don't be disheartened especially if you have a good idea why! I too had a gain, I'm lucky it was only 0.5lb but I was a little disappointed. However on the way home I had a realisation;, lots of people at my club overeat on weigh in night - some even have fish and chips and I'm guilty of treating myself and once or twice added up those syns and they do matter. Another lady last week said she does the plan all 7 days as she wants it to work! So I decided only to have my 10 syns yesterday and will carry on counting the syns this week - or at least try to and see if it has a different result! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Gosh its warm! emoticon

How wonderful Donna to have Spanish friends coming to stay....¿Dice usted español?

Looks like we are due temps of 25C today...not a lot of sun and some rain after 7pm....sigh!
Have a lean foodie day planned and for tomorrow so let's see how that goes.
Have my twins this afternoon after school...they break up on Wednesday for the summer hols.

Have a great week everyone....and best of all - let's do our best!!

Happy Monday, Hope everyone has a great week! Are you still enjoying the sunshine? emoticon I am mostly! Sometimes it is a bit too warm but we mustn't complain.
I am getting my hair coloured tomorrow and I can't wait! It will look so much better and it will make me feel better. It is 4 days till my Spanish friend, her hubbie and 2 children arrive to stay with us, looking forward to it but a bit nervous too.

That was a lot of walking Janet, glad you had a nice time. Irene it seems like you are planning well emoticon , you have to continue being patient and adaptable with your dh to make your life as easy as possible. emoticon

Everyone else hope you are doing well.

Great idea Irene...I do it all the time! I don't know the term 'port orange' ?

I planned on a salad meal today too but as it wasn't a very warm day I made a stirfry instead, using up lots of things I'd put in the freezer before we left for the trip.
Had a sneak weigh in...was amazed to be only 2lbs up!! Think I can cope with that before Wednesday!! lol

Thanks for support , this morning I suggested to dh we had a light lunch as it's so hot and heavy, salad new potatoes and something? He didn't like that at all saying he prefers a tradition meat, potatoes and veg meal. I wasn't happy but I then thought I don't have to eat what he eats , yes it's a port orange doing two meals but I can do it. So it's a mixed salad with all sorts in including a few grapes ,grated carrot , plus prawns . Irene

I had a lovely few days away...visited some 1st cousins (once removed!) and my lovely godson and his family. The food...ah the food! Suffice to say I have a bloaty belly to shift before weigh in on Wednesday!! Going to go all out for that! emoticon emoticon
Good news was I walked at least 1250 minutes!!

emoticon Jackie on getting your 1 1/2 stone SW award!!! Hope you had a lovely time out.

Well done Irene, good to feel in the 'zone' again! emoticon

emoticon Cathy...even staying the same is better than a gain! Have a lovely time in Nottingham with your family. I was close by in Leicester....we had a couple of days of 30C...much too hot!!

Donna...hope your time with friends was successful...writing down is a good plan ~ I took my book but didn't get around to using it!! Will restart tomorrow!

Hope you had a lovely night Jackie yesterday. I am out with friends tonight but really trying to stay within my syns this week and have written them down emoticon . [Its easier though as we are taking the food around].

Glad you are feeling more positive Irene. Going on the scales was brave so long as you don't let the number define who you are! I know how miserable it can make me and I am trying not to get on the scales only at my SW class. As we discussed at class last week getting on the scales can change how our day goes, if its heavier than we thought we reach for a treat to cheer us up and if its lighter we reach for a treat to 'celebrate'! emoticon emoticon
Have a great weekend, whatever the weather! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi on Saturday, what storms in the night such thunder claps over head and lightening was amazing but soon passed. I thought it's a bit like life we get the occasional storms with a lot of regular life between,.
Cathy you will be near me next weekend. I am in Cotgrave south of Nottingham.

I have to tell you I braved getting on the scales yesterday, knew I had gained and had a figure in mind but was just under that. But I feel now the time is right for me to start again, I went shopping early for salad fruit and veg, I planned my meals and made a long term plan. I am only a few pounds over my target weight so am aiming for a pound a month off an stay off! Should make it by Christmas ! How are you all doing? Irene

It is not that hot here, yesterday it was sunny, spent most of the day outdoors, today we have had a few heavy showers.
I hope the weather is nice next weekend,we are going camping at the Holme pierrepont water sports centre in Nottingham,my daughter in law is competing in the Outlaw triathlon, hope it isn't too hot either as it will be very uncomfortable for the runners.
I am hoping to go for a walk this afternoon if the rain keeps off.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Yeah it's hot but not as bad as in London. I made a mistake of going to town yesterday , long story but the heat and an impatient husband made me sorry I had gone to collect a picture I had framed , the picture is lovely anyway. Going to stay home as much as possible now lots of fluids and fans going. Could do with some salad stuff and veg so will go early before it gets too hot. Have a good weekend . Irene

A mid week chat, I am ok but back on the insomnia trail up every night for an hour or more,
I believe in planning too Donna especially meals and even having some handy fruit for snacks, grapes are very useful. I am on a scale avoiding mood. My own choice. I just hate being so dependant on a number on a dial. It won't last I will go back and be horrified I have gained pounds . Feeling a bit down this morning, probably tiredness. Have a good day, Irene

emoticon Jackie, losing 1.5 stones is a real achievement! Cathy I also stayed the same this week so I must try harder too. I read today FAIL TO PLAN IS a PLAN TO FAIL and I think for me that could be really true. I felt that I'd done well but hadn't written all my syns or anything else down so hadn't done so well! I have a nasty cold developing emoticon . Hope you have a good break Janet. emoticon everyone, love from Donna xxx

Hope your digestion finally settled down Irene...not nice when it keeps you from sleeping.

Starting to get organised for our short trip away...small cases dug out of the cupboard!! Can't wait!
This afternoon we went for a walk in the sunshine...just so pleasant to wander around where we live.
I'm doing my best to stay on plan...almost as if I have a weigh in this week. Not sure how i will do away with somebody else catering!

Hi in early hours of Sunday morning, our son and his daughter visited yesterday. I enjoy the company and chat but we always eat out at lunch time with them. I didn't exactly stick to plan
No with a shredded duck and sweet potato meal which was very tasty But on positive side I refused a dessert, I gave two boxes of chocolates to my grand daughter .
It another day today and I am up with indigestion, my body telling me something I ate didn't suit me.
Well done .donna on new position and I hope you all are having a good weekend . Irene

Jackie the Indian sounds lovely, hope you enjoy it. I can't imagine my children being that old! It will happen though, in time, but I can wait!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for my interview yesterday. I was very nervous, in fact the office manage told me I looked terrified and I said 'Yes I am'. Must have gone okay though as the Head Teacher phoned me that afternoon to tell me that they would like to offer me the job! I was and still am really really surprised and delighted! emoticon They seem really nice people working there. I will be working with a little girl with Downs Syndrome who will be starting the Juniors (KS2), year 3 in September. emoticon Still amazed!

Hope you are feeling better Mona. Hope Janet you have/have had a nice meeting with your friends. Irene your freezer drawer sounds seriously organised, well done!

Have a great weekend everyone, hope I get a better night sleep, I was too excited to sleep yesterday! emoticon

Thanks Irene - we've just bought a slow cooker and are having some delicious stews where we also 'bung in' whatever we have. Great to know it's ready when we get in from work too!
Going out for a celebration curry this evening - my eldest son will be 25 tomorrow. Doesn't seem possible - can still vividly recall his unexpected entry into this World (12 weeks early!). Intend having a poppadum for starter then boiled rice and a dry curry for main. Diet coke to accompany. That's the plan anyway!
Have a great weekend

Hi on Friday, welcome to Jackie, what an encouraging start you have had losing a lot of weight.
I had gone off track but this week I am doing better, I need to plan plan and more planning with food and activities, I feel more positive and energetic . Yesterday I made a chicken casserole in slow cooker. I recently found I can out frozen chicken in slow cooker and it's still all cooked by lunch time, it's a time saver, I did what I call a bung meal. I bunged in frozen chicken potions I bunged in what ever else I thought would contribute to the meal, part of a cauliflower two carrots , a pepper , half a leek, two potatoes cut up,. Some chicken noodle soup went in too and herbs, I just left it all morning and it was a very tasty meal . Enough over to make two single portions for me , I now have one drawer of the freezer filled with single portion suitable meals for me . So handy . Thinking of a fish pie meal today no pastry,
David Beckham is still visiting me it's a Sky ad, why am I getting this and no one else is,?
Have a good weekend, Irene

Hi everyone~~Feeling much better today. Saw the doctor and all my lab work from last week was perfect. First time in a long time. So the UTI and upper respitory infection are both covered by the antibiotic I am taking and I got medicine for the cough and congestion.

Janet~~I thought you were going away over the weekend. Hope you had a great, fun day with your friends.

Jackie~~thank you for the veggies. I think my increase of fruits and veggies is really helping me too.

Donna~~thinking of you!!! Hugs.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good for you Jackie...eating well has to be the way to go.

Poor Mona...sorry to hear you have a cold, not nice this time of year. Your temps are very high...we have about 62F today = 17C....nothing like summer and raining here again.

Tomorrow I'm meeting some old school friends for lunch so that will be a nice catch up time.
I'm starting to think about some edible things I need to pack for our few days away next week...I don't feel we are easy people to cater for!!

Hope everyone is having a good week....

Feeling great these days - probably because I've upped my fruit and veggie intake and am trying hard to stick to plan (ish!)
Have a great day gang!

Got up to 100degrees here yesterday. It is all ready 98 today.

emoticon Jackie...good to have you here with us. Congrats on your weight loss so far, that is a great total.

Mona, good to have you back with us after your trip...hope the doctor has some answers for you. Thanks for the congrats on our anniversary, it was a special day.

Donna...remembering you for that interview tomorrow. I think theses events do make us feel 'nervous' but that's normal....deep breathes and do your best. emoticon

Weighed in this morning and am calling it 'minimum damage' after 2 celebrations!! Only 1lb gain so I'm OK with that. emoticon

Hi guys!
I'm new to this group although not new to Spark People. Go to a SW group on Monday nights and have so far managed to lose two and a half stone - before and during my SW membership.
I'm still waiting for David Beckham to pop up on my screen. No luck as yet! emoticon

I am still trying to eat even "MORE" healthy and tracking my food. No exercise.

Janet~~Happy Anniversary to you and Joseph!! You are both so very special and I wish you both many blessings. emoticon

Donna~~Will be thinking of you on Thursday!!

Tuesday morning , is anyone else struggling to get rid of David Beckham? A very annoying ad that covers the typing area .
I was at book club last night there is always wine and nibbles. I was pleased to see a dish if grapes amongst the nibbles so I mainly had those, I did have one wine but I didn't have any chocolate yesterday. Good luck with weigh ins and interviews this week , Irene

Hi everyone,Donna i hope your interview goes well.
I know i have gone over with my syns the last few days so dread getting weighed on Tuesday.
I have been watching the Tour de France on tv,my son and daughter in law who live in Leeds have been marshals for the event they said the atmosphere has been fantastic. The scenery in Yorkshire looked spectacular.

Hi guys, I've had a great day but can't believe its only 5pm as I've still got stuff I need to do and I'm really tired. We went our as a family for a walk this morning and then out for a meal, dh and I hd Carvery - great and I believe you only have to count 5 syns. Yum yum - didn't have york pud or stuffing or gravy though, it was lovely.
I am stressing a little as I have another interview on Thursday this week so may not be around much this week! Need to PREPARE myself! emoticon Still within my syn allowance and hoping for a weight loss this week and if possible want to take my target. Love to everyone. Donna xxx

Hi on Sunday , we usually go to one sons home for Sunday main meal. But my ddil is not well, she's had a nasty stomach bug for weeks and feels nauseous all the time. We went last week but she obviously wasn't well and I felt we were in the way. She's sent me an e mail saying she doesn't think she can cope with doing today's family meal. There can be 12 or. 14 there. I told her not to even think of doing a meal. We are all capable of doing our own meal. Not sure what yet, we have had fish most days this week. M won't go veggie but isn't fond of meat. I have turkey mince in the freezer so may do something with that, he can cope with mince.
A quiet day planned today but time passes fast any day.
I didn't like scales today but not panicking yet ,I do fluctuate greatly . Though if I am being truthful a skirt I put on felt tight round the tummy area so I put a looser one on. I just can't get back into dieting mode though do eat healthily. Have a good week ahead , Irene

Irene I looked at that company and they sound very good meals. I was surprised that they can mail anywhere, even overseas. I'm sure they will help you greatly.

Cathy, thanks for the info, I was interested to know how the IOM works for it's residents.

Donna...I weighed the same again this week, so was relieved about that. Well done to you too...sometimes we worry too much! eh?
Thanks for the anniversary congrats...we had a lovely day out in Folkstone...
Today was Joseph's 70th birthday. We weren't able to go to London and have a river boat trip because of the weather forecast, so God willing we'll do that another time but we did go out for the day and enjoyed a lovely meal! Planning to be back on plan tomorrow....not sure how the weigh in will go next week! emoticon

Hi on Thursday , I am waiting for mid day meal to cook so can chat as I wait. M and I often have different meals now he's on very soft diet due to swallowing problems . I saw a food delivery firm advertised and looked them up
No joy the one who delivers boring meals to pensioners as advertised on tv. This is Illumi foods. Anyone with an allergy will find it so helpful , it's gluten and nut free I do know. You can say what allergy you have and they suggest which of their meals are best. They are all one pot meals not frozen but in packs, just snip a corner off and do in micro wave or on cooker top. Marvellous veggie meals , I have had two deliveries . There are often offers on so I buy then , they do a lot of curry and spicy meals which didn't suit me but when I requested which were best they came up with a good choice . I am not on commission but they are useful to have a few in stock , they are calorie counted and about £3+ main meal . They are for one buy generous portions. I buy the main meal packs but also packs of Spanish rice and veg, or a mushroom pack too which are cheaper and go with main meals . It's grown up food unlike other delivery meals . I am going to check our meals now, have a good day . Irene

Janet,we have our own health service in the Isle of man,it is similar to the nhs,we also have a reciprocal agreement with the nhs in the uk,so if are ill while visiting the uk we can get treatment there and vice versa.
Sometimes we are referred to hospitals in England for treatment, but the manx government pay for that.they also pay travel costs and for accommodation if someone has to go with you.

Ha ha Donna...yes, I know the theory alright, sometimes a little hard with the practical! lol.
You are right to stay Positive....maybe look back to this time last year and see how far you've come!! It was an eye opener to me!!

Irene, well done for dropping off a couple of pounds along the way. Sometimes I think it's just some 'bloat' and that soon goes away again.

Cathy, well done for being down another 1lb. You will soon get that chest freezer filled up. Hope all goes well at the audiology clinic for you. Is your health service attached to the NHS? When I lived in Spain my health rights were transferred from here and I was on the Spanish health service...I didn't pay for anything.

Tomorrow will be our 20th wedding anniversary...so a day out is planned. I've already received some beautiful red roses from my Joseph. emoticon emoticon emoticon

July started well with 25 point log in,
I did an end of month weigh in yesterday , a couple of excess pounds have gone , I will do regular checks now , I had been ignoring scales.
I was in a quiz team last night for WI. It's a county wide one , we won't know who won , it won't be us. But we enjoyed it and had a laugh it made us use our brains . There was a bar in the hall and crisps and snacks, I had a bottle of water . I will polish my halo up now. Have a good month . Irene

Janet is right again (no surprise there!) Well done Mona for achieving a good four days! You have big plans for the next week or more and need to be very strong beforehand. If I forget to say it have a good time, if you can join us you will be very welcome. emoticon emoticon

I know I have put on weight this week/fortnight since my last official SW weigh in but am being positive about it, we can all falter sometimes.

Although I read the other day 'Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels', and I agree with that but it didn't stop me eating last week! Have eaten on plan since Wednesday, although I haven't written it down so am not sure if I've had all 70 syns. Onwards and downwards next week emoticon emoticon

emoticon Mona for achieving 4 days...they soon mount up. I've done good too so far.

Irene, hope your Sunday with your son & family was a lovely day and meal. I think you're doing a good job at maintaining so don't fret about a few odd pounds. You have a lot to cope with and are doing well.

I had the twins after school this afternoon...they are almost 9 yrs old and oh dear their little world has caved in because their teacher is leaving the school at the end of this term...
I did well foodwise again today...staying strong, have to get through tomorrow too of course. I'm planning on making Joseph a chocolate birthday cake tomorrow...a little early but about the only free time I have this week.

Working on Day #4. I surely hope I can keep this going.

Daughter is home from London. They had a great time.

Did laundry this morning and trying to get some things ready to go to the beach. I am just not used to all this traveling.

Just got home from church services. We had a beautiful patriotic service. How far the US has gotten away from those humble, Godly beginnings.

Stayed in range yesterday but did not really eat right. Today I need to get back to my fruits and veggies and kick the bad crabs.

So glad you and Joseph had a good day. I have three days to "be strong" too. I know I can do it!!

Leaving on Wednesday for the beach. Maybe I can use my Kindle to keep in touch. I am really looking forward to seeing if I can manage it. Will be back home on Sunday.

Have a good day everyone and see you tomorrow. Hugs! Mona

Hi on Sunday, I have a Kindle too and I pad. I only work on I pad now I love it, it's a big kart of my life now,
Re weight, I am about 4lbs up on a year ago, when I was at target , It creeps on if you don't watch it carefully .
I had a cook in morning yesterday making my own stand by meals and freezing in single portions , I enjoyed up and felt satisfied I was doing something towards getting back on track,
Today we have main meal at our sons ,but it's usually healthy eating ,
Have a good day , Irene

Good for you Mona...day 2 under your belt!!
Oh you will love the Kindle...I have one that has been hijacked by Joseph for a while...I hope he'll get his own very soon, maybe as a birthday present. They are very easy to use and I use Amazon to mostly download 'free' books or at the least pay £2-£3 to download. Much cheaper than buying hard copies that then sit gathering dust on the bookcase.
Glad Krista & Tony had fun in London...the scotch eggs are very easy to make...I'll send you a link.

We did indeed have lunch out yesterday....we walked at least an hour beforehand and then even more afterwards...hence there was no increase on the scale this morning!! I'm going to be 100% on plan now for my next weigh in because of the celebrations next week. OK they're after my weigh in but looks like I'm facing 3 days out...
On a wonderful note...I checked my SW weigh in list for last year and I weighed 1stone 7 1/2lbs more than now...(22lbs) happy me!!!

Have a great w/e everyone.

Hi everyone~~Almost done with Day#2 of my tracking. Did very well yesterday and also I have done well today. Now to keep it going!!

Janet~~My daughter got me a Kindle Fire for my birthday but is waiting to give it to me when I get to her place for the 4th. She figures with everyone there they can help me figure it out. I told her if she mailed it back in April I wouldn't know what to do with it. Hope you and Joseph had a wonderful lunch. Krista and Tony have really enjoyed London. Tony had a picture of Scotch eggs on facebook today and wants me to make them for him when he comes to SC.

Donna~~thank you for all the good wishes and encouragement while I was "absent". It really meant a lot.

Now to make it through the weekend. Nothing special planned so all should go well. Have a great one, everyone.

Hugs, Mona

Hi evreryone,
Just having another go at using my tablet, frustrating it's so slow-
Mona, so good to hear you're doing well in your new apt. And back on the plan.

Irene, sometimes we leave us behind, not good- you have a good plan for you.

Donna, great for getting back on plan.

Helen and cathy hope all is going well for you both.

I'm just off out for lunch with my husband.....probably not a good thing but wil just be one meal of the day. I had fruit and yogurt for breakfast instead of my usual cooked one. I shall be walking plenty too.

Weekend coming up....hope we all get some nice weather, we have rain forecast!!

Hi friends, great to see you all here!

I'm afraid I had a hiccup at weekend, my 2 social events turned into an eat as much as you can (food not on plan!) emoticon from Friday to Tuesday so I'm sure I've put on loads and undone the good work I had done, however its all part of life and I've been back on plan totally since Wednesday morning. We have to keep on keeping on don't we! emoticon However we do it Irene, we all know what we should be doing :-). Mona lovely to have you here and to hear of your exciting summer plans. and Helen hope its going well. Janet and Lisa especially thank you to you both for your support in my weaker moments this week.
Hope the rain stays off here till 3pm as its my son's schools sports day emoticon emoticon No I'm not doing parents race - I don't run at all!

Hi on a rainy Friday morning, . Welcome to new friends I look forward to sharing our good and bad days with you ,
Thanks for ideas for quick and easy chicken it's so easy to get stuck in a rut on cooking. I have been concentrating on catering for my husbands restricted diet, I often share his main meal or have a WW ready meal . I have always had problems with the lighter meal of the day , avoiding bread! I have always been a thrifty cook saving left overs never throwing and food out. But who's eating all these left overs,? me . So am having to change the habit of a life time and don't keep left overs unless they do fit into my own eating plan. Plan is the word I must plan everything in advance , I am also avoiding scales for a few days ,it's too depressing ! I hope to have a few days on my p.f.m. plan for me days , have a good weekend

Hi everyone. It's been quite a while but I actually posted my menu today and I am really going to try and stick with it. Not doing the online slim world but still have my books and hoping to visit this team for added support.

Spending a lot of time with family and friends this summer. Going to my daughter's beach house over the 4th. Back to PA end of July to attend a quilt show in Hershey and then visit the quilt shops in the Amish country. Really looking forward to that. Then I should be home.

All settled in my new place and I like it a lot. Both the senior center (only two blocks) have water aerobics and also a Gold's Gym. Will be getting into that as soon as I can. Going to a quilting gild and really learning a lot. Working on several projects. Also joined a very active church with lots of activities for 55+ age group.

Tracked my food today and going to really try and get back on track. Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs! Mona

Good for you Helen cooking from scratch...yes difficult to cater for everyone at different hours I know. Thankfully I'm retired so can take a bit more time with meals...not that we're ultra organised...we more go by what we feel like eating and most often have different meals to one another. Today was an exception...I cooked meat free meatball jambalaya. That was originally a SW recipe but I think I change it around sometimes to what's in the fridge.

That sounds nice, too, Janet. The trouble is my family all come in at different times so although a stir fry is lovely - and I like to do this - nobody wants to cook late at night, for example, even if all the preparation is done. My sons in particular.
So we tend to have stuff that just needs to be thrown in the oven or microwave. I don't buy ready meals very often (maybe I should?).

I used to chop up a chicken breast and add to a pan of chopped onions, peppers, mushrooms etc and stir fry with some Fry Light. If you can eat tomatoes, some canned chopped ones & tomato puree make a nice sauce, add a drop of soy sauce if you like that too. Serve with rice or even over a jacket potato.

Weighed in this morning....stayed the same so was very happy with that result. I weighed everyone in this morning at group and they just kept coming and coming...so many people!!! All good for SW.

Hiya, I LOVE chicken stuffed with ricotta cheese and wrapped in parma ham. You can buy low fat ricotta or use lowest fat cream cheese instead, and lean bacon works well instead of the ham. Slice a chicken breast almost all the way through, pop in a teaspoon or so of cheese and use the ham or bacon to wrap it up like a parcel. Wrap in foil and bake for about half an hour then open the foil to let the meat brown a bit. A little pasta too? Or a mixed salad? We're having this tomorrow!

I know I stress eat and a few pounds had crept on. Now I have had to review meals for my husbands meals I am also looking at my own meals more. There is a lot of chicken in the freezer and only me to eat it. Can anyone suggest and easy ways of doing a quick meal with chicken breast for instance, it can be a bit dry so I would like something with a sauce perhaps? Thanks , I do also keep a few WW ready meals in now for ease and speed, some are alright .but I often add more veg,
Have a good day and enjoy the sunshine while it's here, Irene

Helen, hope you get that 1lb off...I'd be happy to stay the same again this week!!

Cathy... emoticon 2lbs off is great!! That sounds like an interesting holiday in Nottingham. Hope your daughter in-law does well. My godson does triathlons too, well, not sure he still does because he was 50 this year!! I'll ask him when I see him in July...we are visiting Leicester for a few days to see my relatives. I haven't been there since 1992 and Joseph has never been there so it should be a nice time.

I did a lot of walking today...in the sunshine so bonus!! I actually bought a sunhat...but I'm notorious for never wearing them!! lol. Then we went to the supermarket and I found I'd left my cash at home...had to leave the goods and drive home again....late lunch at 3.30pm!!

Helen, you can post whatever you like here....breakfast sounds a good protein one to keep you going until lunch time.

Talking of breakfast, and I always have two sausages, egg & beans or tomatoes but as I wasn't up very early and need to have an early lunch so I can care for my grandsons (teacher training day at school) I'm having fruit & yogurt.

Irene, I guess the food for M may eventually have to be pureed, but glad he can manage the fish, it's very nutritious and good for us too doing SW. Glad you can still eat your chicken...you need to keep your strength up as his carer.

Donna...wishing you a good day too.
