Finally learned to download my phone pics. But I don't know if I can remember what I did. Oh well, maybe by the time I have more pics I'll remember. ( emoticon )

Looks like a great week ahead. We are doing Easter Dinner tomorrow night as Lori, Dave, Nicole, Ken and family are going to the British Virgin Islands for spring break. I am going to try really hard to just eat a small amount of everything so I don't blow my week.

Sue~~I WISH I lost six pounds in a week, but that is two weeks because last week was not too good. I am learning to get back without going on and on. Hoping to be down four more pounds by my birthday and that will give me 10 pounds. Glad things are a bit more settled with Mum!! Give Pops a hug from me when you next see him!!

Finally doing some walking too. Plan to really use the pool to walk when it gets a bit warmer. We do have an 80 showing for next week but the nights get really cold so think I will just do my short walks for two or three more weeks.

Take care everyone and if I don't get back until after Easter I wish you all a happy, blessed, sunny day. Hugs!! emoticon

Catch up on Sunday I am pleased to see the chat room getting busy,
I am plodding on, I am full time carer now to my husband so my days revolve round that, I can't have a rigid routine . But 1st March I promised myself to do done exercise each day, it may only be five minutes but I did sone daiky.
I want to carry that in adding something extra in April. we are told how important water is so my April plan is drink a glass full before each meal as well as top ups over the day. Small steps work for me , have a good week. Irene

Glad everything sorted for mum Sue should the time come, and that your BP is down. Some restful quiet nights for you whilst Ralph is at work. Woke up to pouring rain today but starting to ease now hope will stop soon as I must walk down into town, things to get. Such a change to yesterday when got all bedding and other washing blowing beautifully on the line. You are like us with your bus day trips Sue we love them, our next is the 1940's weekend in May. We went about 5 years ago and stayed in a cottage in the heart of the village it was an amazing weekend so really looking forward to it again, hopefully the sun will be shining by then. Not breakfasted or dressed yet so better get myself motivated.

Morning all, been missing a few days.
Gained back a little, will leave tracker this week to see if I can get it back down. Been at parents a lot and not done much walking or eating properly.
Had the assessment for mum on Tuesday, went well and things are in place should we need to move her quickly. Since she recovered from the virus, she has been back to 'normal' whatever that is, lol
Also they are sending the Occupational Therapist...waiting list but marked as urgent.... to see what can be done to improve access in and out of the house. Dad just paid for new steps at the front, so instead of 2 deep steps they have 3 shallow ones. First test will be the 9th of April when she has a hospital appt!

Had my B12 jab yesterday and also my bp done and thankfully is down to 128/88 which for me is wonderful and certainly better than the 200/94 at the hospital, 3 weeks ago.

Tina, pleased you had a good time and we are going to Bournemouth in July just Sun to Thursday.
Have Cornwall before that at the end of May.

Had a day trip on Sunday to Blue Planet Aquarium, it was a lovely place but I was expecting it to be bigger from the website, but a lovely day though.

Next day trip planned and paid for on 12th April to the Lake District, including a steam train and boat ride. So hope this snow has gone, yes we got up to snow today. Well I got up to snow, hubby on nights so he trudged home in it, seems it is turning to rain now, so hoping it will be gone by tonight.

Hi guys, I love hearing about holidays! Wish I had one planned sooner than the summer. however I am SO lucky thatI work in a school rather than a PROPER JOB and have two weeks off and I am really looking forward to it.

I lost 1lb this week, however am not quite at target emoticon This week I will get it sorted. Am drinking more water and low cal juice and think it will help. emoticon

Glad you enjoyed yourself Tina...I think it's very hard to stay on plan when we're away, after all it's all about enjoying yourself too. I shall be away in 20days time....can't wait!!

I had a gain this week....but thankfully still in target range...that's the game to stay put!! Onwards to April...!!!

Thanks Sue - hotel was really nice, and we didn't hear one negative comment about it - not bad eh, considering there were 73 in our party!!

I'm fine with the weight gain, as I expected it and am back on track and focused today (which was my real fear) - so am on a mission to get shot of the excess asap.

Only 14 weeks to France!!

So glad you had a great time after the initial shock of losing the first hotel. Ok so you put on but then if you can't enjoy yourself once in a while! You will shift it again you have proven you can x

Down 6 pounds. Had a crazy weekend with family here to see the baby. I tried but was not totally successful with my eating. Back on track!!

Busy week. I had an appointment with my cardiologist yesterday and taking a friend to have out patient surgery today. Then Bible study tomorrow and lunch with another friend on Thurs. Plan on having a nice big salad with grilled chicken. An apple for dessert!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Can't believe Sunday is palm Sunday and then Easter. Lori and Dave and Nicole, Ken and family are going to the British Virgin Islands for Spring break and Krista and Tony are skiing in Montreal so we are doing our Easter dinner this Sunday. There is a great movie on Easter night so I will probably just fix something lite and watch the movie~~follow up to last year's Life of Christ.

I like the online SW for tracking and finding out syns values for foods. Some of them have surprised me!! This really is the best program for me.

Have a great day everyone. Hugs to all!!

Ah bless your heart Irene. I know it's hard to balance caring for your husband as well as yourself but you are doing your best and will make lots of progress. You are right to be eating more to avoid the snacking...I've had to learn that lesson too!

That's great Janet that older people still go to groups, the local one is evening, I find it easier now to go out by day, I looked at on line membership but I have that here with you all! Decided to try alone, I was looked at weeks menu and thought what a lot is in their plates. Ah ha . I have been cutting down in general , so my meals are small then I get hungry and pick between meals ! Now I am adding more free foods to my plate and avoiding snacks.
Also when I cook a main meal I do extra to freeze single portions.
I have crept up over 11 stones , so promising myself a reward when I get to 11 and another when 10 starts showing on the dial again,
I look after my husband ,that has to be priority but I must look after myself too,, have a good week .

Oh Irene what a shame you didn't feel part of the group. We have several older people, I'm talking 70+ and one man is 88 this year. He drives away in his car like it's a Ferrari!! lol.
Mona is an online member so maybe she can tell you some of the benefits...I know it's SW USA though.

Been just the normal shopping etc time for me, nothing dynamic! I really want my weigh in to be at least a STS this coming week. I did such a huge hike up over mothers day and you all know how hard it is to move the scales back down again! But I'm determined to do it!!

Hope you're all having some Spring weather in your part of the country!

Phew Friday again already...where do the days go?

Mona, happy to here your days are all planned out and eating syns is in control too. Well done you!

Just been shopping today to stock up on some meat free products at Asda. Thankfully they had everything I was looking for.
Down here in the south we didn't see anything of the Eclipse...anyone else see it?

Doing great. Did lean steak with yellow, orange and red pepper strips, broccoli & cauliflower, and a baked potato with fat free butter spray. Only used 4 syncs today. May have a cup of tea and a legal snack or fruit later.

So glad your ankle is improving.

Have a great day everyone! Hugs!

Mona you've made an excellent start....especially doing some body magic too!! Well done.

Tina...congrats on the 3lbs off....and have a wonderful time in Bournmouth; I haven't been there for so many years but remember the long promenade so maybe some gentle walking won't hurt your hip.

I was at group today but didn't weigh in...that's my prerogative as a target member so I just did my social team bit.
My ankle is still slowly improving and I try to do a little walking most days. Tomorrow I'm having lunch out with a girlfriend...in Wetherspoons so hoping for not too much damage.

Just thought I'd stop by and say hello.
I was pleased to lose 3lbs this week, that's 18lbs altogether, so I'm well pleased with that.
We're off to Bournemouth for the weekend. We have organised this weekend for the last 20+ years and this time have 73 going. It's a good fun time and we're both looking forward to it.
I hope I don't do too much damage to my weight loss.
I have a lot of pain in my right hip and I'm not sure if it's a problem with my hip joint (hope not) hence my attempt to lose some excess pounds.
Sue-M pleased you had a good time in London, it's not all that far from us, but we rarely go these days.
Hope you are all ok.
Have a good week
Tina xx

Did my grocery shopping~~bought all sw approved food. And it all looks SO good. I am going to go over my syns tonight for supper because I have three prepared meals that I am going to eat~~too expensive to throw away. I will be at 12 syns.

Third day of walking!! Starting slow but joined the Bronze Medal level for this coming week. Being able to post and reading the site really helps me. Now to keep going!! Will weigh on Monday.

Looks like a couple of rainy days coming up for us. Going to help with our missionary conference at the church tomorrow and Friday. Looking forward to that. I will be working in the book store.

Have a great day eveyone!! emoticon

Went and had the oil changed in my car this morning and then stopped and had a good wash and wax. Try to do this a couple times each year.

It is 83 here today. But 20 degrees cooler tomorrow and then the rains come and the temps fall back to the 50's. I have been walking each day. Not far but had to start somewhere!!

Food journal is good today. I like having the books and the on-line site available.

Glad you didn't have anything too terrible Janet!! How did your ankle do on your walk?

Sue--Was so glad to see things have improved for Mum. Hugs to her and Pops!!

Today I was at the dentist...with some receding gum that had given me some pain. No treatment just advice so that wasn't painful!! Then we had a little walk through the town. It's the town of Battle. Where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

emoticon Donna...I know they are hard times to get though but time does help us heal.
Hope your weigh in goes well tomorrow.

Sue-M...congrats on your 2.5 down...especially being on holiday too.

Irene...Sue-O is right...ditch them! Even I would do that for such a few chocs!

Hi Mona....glad you are now signed up with SW online. Sounds like you have a good plan to tackle those pounds.
I took a look at Megan's pic of the new baby...so sweet and love the name Ella Margaret, a good weight too. Little Cooper is going to love his baby sister so much.
** You probably need to plug a cable into your phone and then plug the other end into your computer to transfer the pics to your computer so you can post here. I can't post pics direct from my phone here...

I had a very nice Mothers Day with gifts and cards...the only iffy gift was this one! Serves 4...so far it's still intact! emoticon

Got my on line packet from SW on Saturday. It has a lot of new things from what I had before. Plus a menu cookbook and two other very nice cookbooks. Planned out everything for today and want to do a week at a time before I go to the store again. Set Monday as my weigh in day. Keep me honest on weekends.

Having so much fun with our new baby. She is SO cute. Cooper told Megan, "Mama I glad you bought her". Everyone has to sit down when they hold her. emoticon

Hope you all had a good Mother's Day.

Donna~~you and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers. These days after do make every thing so final. But I know for me I try to keep focused on happy memories. Of course lots of times I just have to give in to a "bad" day and that usually means lots of tears. But hugs to you all.

Congrats on all the weight losses~~sure hoping to join that group!!

Have a good Monday everyone. Trying to do more posting. Hugs!!

Morning all, grey and damp this morning, and so dark as well.

Donna, so hard but maybe things can start getting a bit more normal after the funeral, not an easy time for anyone emoticon

Sue, well done you on the 2.5lbs off and all those steps. My steps have been almost nil for weeks, must start walking/

Irene, I just got enough flowers to start a florist, shop, lol. I did ask younger son for a cupcake that a friend of theirs makes to raise money, but he didn't get me one and said I am sure it is not on SW...argh, lol
I am not going to have a loss this week I don't think, but as long as I don't gain I will take it, been a hard week for me, this week, head just wanted out of the game for some reason, trying hard to get back on track.

Irene, if you don't like the chocs, and no-one else wants them, throw them in the bin, no law against it emoticon

See you later, waiting for a shopping delivery to arrive emoticon

Who had chocolates given for Mithers day ? I did but just 6 heart shaped hand made ones, I gave one to my dh, I had one. Guess what ,I didn't like it, it had champagne and strawberries in . The two items may be nice on their own but not mixed together in chocolate . Now what do I do with them? Irene

2 1/2 lb down which am pleased about as have been on annual leave at home with hubby for past 9 days so havn't kept to plan. However had a lovely day in London yesterday and walked over 30,000 steps sure that helped, who needs a gym!

Its been a busy week with the funeral and everything. Everyone still sad and the funeral has made it SO REAL!

I understand how infections in the elderly can make them seem like another person! They can be so weak and infections are cruel.

I have been to my zumba class today and it was really good, I feel energised today.

I haven't heard about the forecast Janet but its supposed to be dry for the next week and that sounds good news. emoticon emoticon

Well done SueO for your 1lb down.
Glad the doctors finally got to the bottom of your mum's current problems...viruses are difficult to diagnosis.

SueM....how lovely walking round the reservoiur, love doing that for a chill out !

Been sunny but rather cold down here too...anyway we know spring is coming!
Pleased to say I went to group today and was down 1.5...1lb under target so happy with that result. And as we know...Mothers Day is on Sunday so...I've been invited for a nice meal out.

Morning or should I say afternoon now. Its funny how a virus can make people totally out of sorts and can badly affect them. Glad mum is acting much better now its easier for you but must be such a relief for your Dad and take a lot of strain away from him. The longer they can be together the better but at least if you keep the appointment with the social worker you will all know what to do if and when the time does come.

Its sunny but cold here too, however after a couple day at home and in garden decided we needed a change of scene but didn't want spend any money so we got in car and went up to Foremark Reservoir, not too far from us, and had a nice stroll with Barney along the paths around the reservoir. Really enjoyed the fresh air,the exercise and the change of scene. Home now just in time as has started to rain a bit and time for a nice cup of tea. emoticon

Morning all

Irene, good to see you

Sue, it has been lovely but cold today, f f freezing lol

Things have improved here, turns out mum had a virus with a rash...after seeing 5 doctors! treated and better, now walking again and bright as a button. When the social worker contacts us...they said it could be up to a month! we will still take the appt and get her assessed but we are happy for her to stay home while like this, but they will have all the details for the future, talk about ups and downs, hey ho, I have appt next week for bp lol
Dad is a lot happier and calmer now, today he has a builder there putting in an extra step and building up the other 3 so that it will be easier to get her in and out of the house.

I have recovered from my hospital appt last week, and am doing well, lost another lb this week

Sue M...my husband was gardening too today in the lovely sunshine but oh dear the wind has now changed and it's really turned cold again...Brrrr!!
Enjoy your first meal at your lovely new table & chairs.

I had a friend here for coffee this morning, so good to have friends when you're not very mobile...ie not driving!

Donna, hope you have a good weigh in tonight...mine tomorrow is anybodies guess!!

Oh what a surprise to find I was chosen to be given support , thank you for that and the team goodie .
I bought the salmon pasta SW ready meal but not tried it yet, if it's spicy I won't be buying it again. that's a let down if the meals are mainly spicey .
I put chicken joints in slow cooker today with herbs and spices but not chilIi I like garlic not chilli
That's todays main meal with a couple of roast potatoes for dh and lot of veg for me , I put an extra joint in too so that's a future meal for me,
It's exercise I need to push more now,
I wish you all well, I am still here and pop in as I can. Thank you again. Irene

Sue sorry to hear the latest about your mum...hope that assessment doesn't take too long and you can find somewhere caring and close by.

Sue M...I think a lot of people find the meals spicy...maybe not good if they don't care for spicy foods.

Had a drive out today to the country park and although nice sunshine I didn't do any walking...very cold wind!
Am working hard to get the pounds down for weigh in...!! (again!)

I tried the hot smoked salmon farfalle didn't like it at all, yet I love pasta and salmon and spicy food but there was just something about it not nice, personally can't say I was impressed, will stick to making my own pasta with salmon in future.

Mum getting worse, had to call local social services yesterday, waiting for a call in next couple of weeks, for an appt for an assessment for moving into a nursing home. Not mentioning on fb and probably won't be here regularly, just when I can.

Not going back to class again either, the woman running it is lovely but not for me, all that waiting in line for 20 mins, get weighed, wait another 20 mins while everyone is weighed and then all the clapping and having to speak, so have all the books and will keep going at home, besides with mum and dad at the moment have enough on.
When I was at the hospital my bp was 200'94 so need some peace and less stress haha

Hubby back on nights tonight so at least some early nights with a book should help.

Irene, tried the meatballs and sausages from Iceland, meatballs very spicy and sausages okay, wanted the Singapore noodles but they had sold out, but someone told me they are very spicy too

I haven't eaten any Irene because of my dietary needs...have heard mixed reviews. If there's an Iceland near you maybe you can try some? Good to hear from you again.

The weather is supposed to be nice over the w/e so hope we can go out somewhere.

Hope everyone is doing well. We had 82 degrees yesterday. It was SO nice. Of course back to the 40's tonight.

Planning on making some progress now. Take care! emoticon

Donna I am so sorry for your loss, as you say, mixed feelings. I think if we were there with them 24/7 we would still feel guilty for something, it is how we are wired, hopefully as time passes your hubby will realise he did all he could emoticon

Well done Sue, great loss for week 1.

My father in law died Monday night and I am feeling a little sad, such mixed feelings glad he isn't suffering any more but sad I wil NEVER see him again, my hubbie is blaming himself for not being there when he died. Though I don't think he could have done anymore in the past 3 weeks.

Lost 4 and a half lbs at my first weigh in, only put 4 on spark

Not feeling great, had a rough time with the gastroscopy this morning. Good news is it is just my hiatus hernia causing the problem, so can now go back on my meds.

Tired, been a long day, catch up tomorrow.

btw total lost this year 10 and a half lbs emoticon

Donna, sorry to hear about your fil getting distressed last night. I think they get disorientated and confused in hospital. Hope you find him calmer today and I expect antibiotics will help the infection. Joseph's bil now an infection too. His sister rang last night and said she'd more or less cancelled the celebration tea for this afternoon. She'd tried to get him to look at the cards as she opened them but he wasn't really interested...shame.
Have a lovely fun time with your friends tonight...
70 syns...105 (max) surely? emoticon

Sue-M enjoy your new furniture when it arrives and good for you donating to BHF...we've bought some 2nd hand things from there ourselves.
Well done for good eating out choices too.

Grey drizzle day here...just popped out for a few food things and home again for lunch.
Somebody on another forum made something simple called "Beany Mash" topped with a little cheese!! Mmm I had mine with 2 (meat free) sausages.

Well last day of February...I looked back at my weigh ins and am 1/2lb down; stayed in my target range so happy about that result.

I really think its SO IMPORTANT to be aware of the food we each/enjoy! But don't get too hung up on it we do have 70 syns for the week and we should ENJOY them. emoticon

I am out at friends tonight and we are taking a curry, SW onion bajiss (1 syn each) and a cucumber dip which works out a 1 syn for whole bowl!. I have just looked up popodoms and find they are 4 syns each - won't be eat them emoticon . My dh has helped me make some good food choices here, hope it continues!

How exciting Sue (CountryLady) treating yourself and great to pass them on to people who may benefit from the items you don't want.

In the middle of the night my dh had to go and calm his dad down in hospital as he was removing his oxygen and they confirmed he does have ANOTHER infection and COPD which makes him more vulnerable to infections. Will see him later.

Janet did they make their anniversary? I know it will hardly be a celebration.

Though I do believe we should celebrate every day as we are wonderful and this is (mostly) a wonderful world. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Morning all

Like Sue we ate out yesterday but made very good choices having jacket potatoes with salad, have learnt doesn't mean I can't eat out just have to be sensible in my choices, hopefully it will become habit to choose correctly. Had a very productive morning, we were out at 9 to buy a new dining room table and chairs, saw it yesterday and after sitting here last night thinking about it and realising how much we liked and wanted it we did the deed went backand bought it,won't be delivered till 10th though. We also have a large fridge and a tv with built in dvd player that we don't need or use anymore and have donated those to the British Heart Foundation, am sure they will do someone a good turn. This afternoon its housework and ironing so should have burnt a few calories off before I settle down for the evening.

Morning all, grey and wet this morning.

Janet I know someone who transposes the numbers of her age as long as it works out younger, lol, that would make me 16 and nearly 26 emoticon emoticon emoticon

Chicken dinner cooking already at 8.40 am so that I can zap it when hubby gets home as the rugby will be on by then haha.

Done some walking last few days and I know I am losing weight, but don't weigh in until Tuesday night, so have to hope I don't fall off the wagon before then. We won't be eating out again until after weigh day and ate out twice this week and I made brilliant choices so happy with that.

Good afternoon

Tina, so sorry to hear you have shingles, dad had that in his 40's and said it was really painful emoticon
As for how old is old, dad always says it is 10 years older than your age now, lol

He was at the hospital today as he had a small growth on his arm, and they just froze it there and then. ralph went with him while I stayed with mum. She is really not getting any better and didn't look like herself at all, strange.

Donna, so sorry to hear about your fil, they are a worry aren't they?
Also Janet, hope your bil and ds enjoy their 50th anniversary.

It is our 16th anniv today, which is why we went to the cinema yesterday and we knew today would be all about the parents, lol.
Both days we ate our and both days I was amazing haha. Yesterday we had breakfast out so Ralph had the BIG breakfast and I had one slice of dry toast with baked beans on, the other slice of toast I gave to Ralph.
I wanted the same again today, but can you believe the pub had run out of beans so I had jacket potato with grated cheese and salad no dressing, how's that for willpower?

Hubby bought me lots of tulips and daffs, I do love spring flowers, plus the daffs can double up for St David's Day on Sunday

See you later, need to rest haha

Thanks Sue and Donna for your kind words - hopefully it won't drag on too long....
I visit in a residential home for the elderly each week and was advised not to do that just now, as the elderly can be so vulnerable (how old is elderly - I'm creeping there myself!!)

Donna, I can't see you as a witch! You're far too nice for that

Have a good day all

Sorry to hear that Tina, hope you can ease the symptoms and it doesn't last too long

Love the picture Janet, I didn't know you could add pictures, thank you for sharing, did it taste as good as it looked?

My f-in-l took turn for worse yesterday. Every day is different though. I will visit with my dh if no one else is going today.

I am dressing up as a witch today as its book day at school - my fave book as a child was the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. emoticon

I'm feeling very sorry for myself today. Went to the doctor with a painful rash - which has been diagnised as shingles. So it's here to stsy for a while - oh joy!!
