I did rein myself well in yesterday and went to bed rather hungry...didn't do me any harm though.
Thankfully the snacking didn't do me any harm at weigh in this morning...I stayed the same! Happy about that. I only have 2 more weeks to get my Diamond Award!!

Donna....I'm sure you'll work hard on that gain this week...sometimes I wonder about the SW scales? Does seem a huge hike!

Well done Mona for sorting out a big SW shop!! That will keep you going for a while.
The church meal sounded very nice...maybe some syns for the sauce? Could have had cream in it? Probably hard to tell. Yogurt needs to be fat free to be free and the roll a wholemeal one. Hope that helps. emoticon
Praying all is well with Dennis and that the visit to the cardiologist was amazing!!

Jackie, I do find if I don't eat sufficient I want to start snacking. The day that was bad for me was when my son was coming for an evening meal and I ate light at lunch time...I normally have my main meal midday. I do have an afternoon planned snack of a cup of Options (2) and a small bar 85% dark chocolate (7) every day...my little treat.

Janet - I know all about snacking as have been doing far too much of that lately myself!
Donna - we both need to get focused and back on track again. emoticon
Mona - sounds like you've got it all under control! emoticon
Trying to eat sensibly today and battling the ever present snack demons! emoticon

I had a crazy day today. Left early to do my first full SW grocery shop. Not one prepared meal in the house. For me that is BIG!

Promised a friend to attend a luncheon at our church and was pleasantly surprised that they served pasta, with marinara sauce and chunks of white chicken breast. Very nice salad and iced tea. Now that was all free right? Tonight I am having some yogurt, multi grain english muffin, and a bowl of fruit salad. How did I do Janet? Need to add breakfast tomorrow but the big lunch really filled me up.

Then I help with Good News Club in our elementary school and left from the luncheon to that. Plus got a flu shot.

Going to call Dennis tonight and head to bed early.

Tomorrow is my day with my cardiologist and other than weight I am almost positive everything with that will be great. Just a long day.

Take care everyone and see you tomorrow. Hugs to all.

Oh dear what a wonderful group we are but we are only human and emoticon all of us, in our own ways!

My scales told me I had put on 7.5lbs this week and no way do I deserve that much! My body is strange as you probably remember me saying! But back to first principles for me too and I know emoticon . If anything I didn't feel as bad as I did putting on 1lb last week! Oh well! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am posting each days challenge on my sparkpage under intro. It is VERY encouraging and once again I am very excited. Now to keep it going.

Today was answering some questions and then saying, "I used to be like that but I am not like that anymore."

I am following the slimming world program.

emoticon Irene, sorry to hear you're struggling. Maybe you can order some of those meals that deliver to your home and get some ready meals in?
Bad sleeping is an issue in my house too!

Just off to collect the twins from school. Dentist tomorrow because I'm having problems that he wants to start work on next week...think I need some antibiotics first. At least it's not hurting, just sore.

Have a good day everyone...and weigh in this week.

Hi on Monday it's so near to the end of the month it's incredible how time flies. I was doing an end of month review and got on scales today first time in about two weeks,. I was horrified . Need I say more. I have been feeling down lately mainly doe to not sleeping much at night, I have not been doing my morning exercise as I was too tired, then some comfort eating. Well you know the rest, but it's a wake up call, I am reviewing the situation that's a good start. I will be back once I have my plan set out. Irene

Ha ha Jackie...I think I remedied the 'problem' during the last two days!!

Hi Mona, great to see you back again with us. I know once you get the right mindset you will be off like a rocket attacking those pounds!!! Please let us know if we can help you with any info about the plan.

We've been searching in the stores and online for a new mattress for our spare bedroom...not an easy task but I hope we've identified the right one now!! Had a lovely walk along the seafront yesterday in the sunshine.
Visited my sister this afternoon to wish her a happy 60th birthday for Tuesday...same day as my daughter.

Hope everyone is having a good w/e.

Hi everyone. Back~~~~again. Joined a new team yesterday, 100 days of Weight Loss and I am going to follow the SW plan. Also made a real commitment to myself to get healthy once and for all. I am slowly falling apart. emoticon

Got out my books and read through them today and pretty sure I know what to do. I will miss the online tools but hoping to get help and support here.

Have a great weekend everyone. emoticon

Jackie, so sorry to hear the sad news about your good friend. Those times are hard I know.

Joseph is struggling with his sleep again...3rd night of poor sleep takes it's toll so this morning he went back to bed again until lunch time. Hope tonight is a better one!!

Ah back in the olden days Jackie...funny how it feels only like yesterday!!

Chilly start today, in fact I felt cold in bed last night and kept waking up! First day of Autumn tomorrow so I suppose it's a seasonal change.
Doing well eating wise and feels good to not have any issues though eating things I shouldn't. Hoping I don't slope backwards again!!

How's everyone else doing?

The film was brilliant yesterday - thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot about the miners strike and gay rights in the 1980's.
Been on a bit of a food binge this weekend but will get back on track from tomorrow. Sometimes you need to just relax and stop worrying about things.....
Will be getting the train back to the smoke this afternoon. A good chance to read more of the fabulous book I'm currently reading "The Fault In Our Stars". Must see the film when I've finished.
Have a good one

Hi everyone,

Dentist wasn't so bad, he found a tooth that needs some attention, a sort of crown he said. So have some appointments planned for that. Avoided my grandson's emoticon yesterday.
Oh today was a trial...keep husbands away from tempting their wives with cakes!! emoticon

Donna enjoy your w/e rest from work! I know you like to mix up the SW plans and that works for you every well.

Irene, you're right about technology...what did we do before we could get online and start reading and posting!! Glad your granddaughter was kind enough to sit with her grandad to give you some much needed 'me' time.

Chris hope your swimming was enjoyable. We had a pretty good day weather wise...sunshine in fact.

Jackie, hope the film was good, haven't heard of that one. Yes I think SW principles does get ingrained into our minds, not a bad thing for me.

Glad that new hairdo made you feel good Irene - mine badly needs attention!
My switch to slow carb eating kind of hasn't happened - yet! I'm definately eating more beans but still have some SW foods to use up (and I hate to waste anything). I seem so used to SW it's still the 'natural' way for me to eat so I'm just seeing how it goes.
Off to see 'Pride' at the cinema this afternoon. Should be a good film.
Have a great day everyone

Am insomniac chat now. I know it's said do not use electronic gadgets late at night as they keep you awake but here I am ...
Yesterday I went to town for a much needed hair cut and style. I felt much better for having it done. Our eldest grand Daughter came to sit with her granddad , it kept him company and she got him talking about places we have lived in. I gather they both enjoyed it, I must book her again for future outings, have a good weekend Irene

Good Luck Jackie, different eating plans can work for us at different times! If I want to be full on SW I eat lots of carbs - green days but to lose weight faster less carbs and red days always used to work for me better in the past, however I like to be FULL!

Irene hope your son manages to be sensible with his eating now he has returned to home/normality! The house must feel a little empty.

Hope dentist goes well today Janet.

I'm looking forward to weekend! emoticon Have a great one everyone!

I'll be eating lots of protein, beans, veg and nuts but cutting down/out fruit, dairy and bread.
We'll see how it goes - no doubt I'll get 'beaned out' after a while and go back to SW!

emoticon Donna - and good luck with your weigh in Janet!
Am going to try the slow carb diet for a couple of weeks. Fancy a change and know my partner has got fed up with Slimming World. Plus I lost a stone on it before I joined SW so know it has worked before and I fancy mixing it up a bit.
Have a good day everyone

Glad you're doing well going it alone Jackie.

Irene...you have truly inspired and motivated your son to try and better his health....well done.
My daughter has now lost about 2 stone...she's doing it at home and using an app to help her and it's obviously working. I like to think I've motivated her too.

Donna...congrats 1/2lb is better than a gain in my book! Wonder how I will do...could be a gain!

Great to hear from you Irene and super that your son has seen your good example! SW does work, no one knows quite how but it does!

My weigh in was 0.5lbs down today, great news! Need to up my game and try for more next week but a loss is a loss emoticon .

Life remains a little crazy right now but hopefully will settle down as the week goes on.

B, my son is staying , so I am out of routine.

My son is very overweight . He surprised me by telling me he's on SW now. I introduced him to SW chips today , a great success , he loved them,. He is not going to group but trying to go it alone. I gave him my old SW mags so he's happy. Bye

Still shaking off a few aches and pains post half marathon but overall it's amazing how quickly the body recovers.
Haven't been to Slimming World class for three weeks now and so far managing to maintain my weight. No regrets about leaving.
Hope you're all having a good day

emoticon Chris...that was a great weigh in, spot on target!! I know something about the trials of respite placements...I was in social services. You're doing sterling work.
Let us know how you do at the doctors for the test results...I've had plenty of bone scans, here and during my years in Spain. Thankfully the ole bones are good to go!!

Jackie, emoticon on completing the emoticon and with no training...Amazing!!
Sorry about the interview but glad you feel positive about the fact you're working!

Donna, glad all the family are up to par again!! Sounds like your new work is very keeping you very busy. Hope your weigh in goes well tomorrow evening.

I've had a manual day...phase 2 of shifting furniture and cleaned the whole house...as you do!
I really like the way we've moved around the furniture in the lounge now...more spacious. It took me a while to convince Joseph it was a good idea!!

Well done Chrisin for the weight loss and all those Fitness Minutes this morning. And Jackie, MADEINBRITAIN sorry to hear the job news but great you are being positive about already having a job.
I have had a great day today. Spo pleased that everyone is healthy enough to be back at school and work. My work has been really interesting today, two interesting meetings and just have to put all these plans into action in my role. Need to write myself some notes soon. Glad its sunny here too. emoticon

Thank you MadeinBritain and congratulations to you on completing a half marathon. WOW I cannot even run for a bus. Never was good at running. even at school.
I'm sorry you did not get the job but as you say you are working full time and something else will turn up I am sure.
Just been for 30 minute swim and 80 minute walk but seriously in need of a rest now so have got my feet up and browsing SP site on laptop. until lunch in 30mins. I really put extra effort into swimming this morning which was easy as the pool was not so crowded.
Hope all the slimming world sparkers are having a really good day.

I periodically get the munchies too DI_NAMIC........ for no apparent reason. Just have to go with it and try to get back on plan asap.
Didn't get the job in a prestigious upmarket store in central London. Not too worried as lucky enough to be working full time anyway.
Completed a half marathon yesterday emoticon which I am SO proud of. It was really tough (didn't help that I'd done no training whatsoever!) but I did it! emoticon
Have a great day team!

emoticon 2lb off recorded today despite my blip on Friday night and the fact that I did not swim or walk as was caring for a young lad. Having said that - he certainly kept me on my toes emoticon
Hopefully next week will see that first (stones) number decrease emoticon
I do envy Monna for being so creative. The only thing I ever create is a mess! My mum was a fantastic knitter and took in orders from family and friends and she could dress make too. Sadly she never managed to teach me even though she tried very hard to.
Welll done Monna for being on track again and having a good result.
Janet, I have been a respite carer for just 8 years when I started to lessen my working hours gradually so that retirement would not be such a shock.
The work is rewarding but hard both emotionally and physically at times and patience is definitely the main requisite.
I am so pleased that your tests seem to have produced positive results.
I have to see Dr this week to discuss the results of my blood test for cholesterol and show her my BP diary. I have a hospital bone scan booked on Wednesday.
I wish all here a really good week

Hi everyone...relaxing day here for me and 100% on plan! Can't be bad!!

Irene...thanks the reception was lovely but as we said, cake can be disappointing.
When I look at recipes I just substitute or omit things I don't eat...eg certain spices or pasta etc.
Maybe you can look at them again and get some inspiration.

Donna...hope you all get well very soon...those bugs do the rounds at home as well as work & schools!!

Chris, I was thinking you sound like you're a respite carer...have you been doing that for long?
Wishing you much success for your weigh in tomorrow!!

oh Donna what rotten luck. Hope everything will improve from now on. These bugs really do the rounds once one of the family gets sick.
We have had a good time with our young guest with us for respite care. We all still learning about each other and given his disabilities it will take a little time but we are getting there.
Weigh in for me tomorrow. I hope the scales are kind.

Its been a horrid weekend, my son went to my parents on Friday as he was sick but he shared it - generous child and my hubbie had it yesterday and my daughter and I've just spent the weekend feeling exhausted.

Great to hear everyone is doing much more fun things than me. Sending emoticon and best wishes to you all x

Janet you did very well at the wedding reception, a slice of wedding cake is allowed. Yes don't wedding cakes vary now cupcakes it just about anything. No keeping the top layer for the christening now!
Taking of food. I bought latest SW mag looking for ideas, what the theme ? Thai spicy food, what have I to avoid eating? Spicy food
,
Doing a small fresh chicken today os slow cooker plus lots of veg and maybe slimmers roast potato just one. Enjoy your meal . Irene

So I saw the doctor yesterday for my B/T results...thyroid is out of sync so meds are upped for 3 months and then a retest. Maybe it will lower my 7.2 cholesterol? Evidently the HDL is a little low, Triglycerides normal, LDL normal. Doesn't sound too much to worry about to me.

Last night was a nice evening at my nephew's wedding reception. It was good to chat to lots of people I don't see very often. I met my niece's boyfriend and he was very nice. Foodwise...had a small piece of chocolate wedding cake, why don't these youngsters have rich fruit cake anymore? And a few nibbles...nothing bad. I stayed with sugar free lemonade to drink.

Back on plan tomorrow for me emoticon

Jackie, hope the interview went well and they don't keep you waiting too long for the results.

Oh yes Diana...1 stone off makes a huge difference in how our clothes fit. Good for you!! And glad you're back on plan again now.

Chris you're right, what's done is done, we just move on! Hope today has been much better for you.

Hi Mona...yes I know what a rough year you've had and glad you're getting back to the SW plan again. I know you will work hard to get those pounds off again.
Great idea to keep your hands busy during the evening...you will soon reap the benefits of that with your quilting projects.
My weigh in last week was 1/2lb up but that was fine because I'm still 2.5lbs under target. I have about 5 or 6 weeks to go to receive my Diamond Award...if I continue to stay in target range....you have to do that for one year.

Irene, hope you're doing alright at the moment and sleeping better too.

Good morning everyone. Trying really hard to stay on track. I am tracking what I eat but some of it has not been SW good. No more ice cream in my freezer.

Night time is SO hard for me too. Trying to keep busy with my quilting project and a knitting project for my missions group. Keep my hands out of the snacks. emoticon

Janet~~How was your family reception? I know what you mean about gatherings for funerals. I was so pleased to attend a family reunion this summer while in PA and visit with family I hadn't seen in years. Did you do well at your weigh in this week?

I hope I get to know those of you I haven't met. It has been a rough year for me but I am doing much better and need to set my focus back to getting healthy and getting rid of this weigh.

Wishing you all a GREAT weekend.

I had an attack of the munchies last night I am ashamed to say. I was feeling really tired after an extremely busy morning and a lovely walk in the afternoon. I am sure my brain mistakes tiredness for hunger. Also, I drank diet fizzy instead of hauling myself off of the sofa to get water. Cannot undo the deed but must learn from the mistake.

Sending you all positive thoughts for your health. Good luck with the job interview MadeinBritain and enjoy the wedding, Janet.

I've had two good days after the 'munchfest' on Wednesday (Don't know what got into me - or rather I do know...too many biscuits!). Luckily, no undue effect on the scales. I was a fraction down this morning.

Made the decision to go through my wardrobe and donate some of my 'too big' clothes. I'm hoping this will keep me on track. I tried lots of old stuff on and and revived some favourites that had been pushed to the back because they were looking too tight. It's surprising how a stone makes quite a difference.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!

Well done for all that exercise Chris...and sounds like your church is very active.
Praise God your husband got the all clear for his bowel screening!! Was that from one of the tests they send through the post?

Jackie, happy to hear your test results were all clear, I've had that worry too so appreciate what a relief it all feels.

I had a busy day planned tomorrow...dentist in the morning but they cancelled, sickness bug going through the surgery! no thanks!! Doctor's for my blood test results in the afternoon...haha all will be revealed! Tomorrow my nephew's getting married so we're invited to the evening reception. Looking forward to that as we only seem to assemble as a family for funerals!!

So pleased the worry is over MadeinBritain . Hubby was called in for more tests after bowel cancer screening so can empathise. God be praised he was given the all clear .

Swim this morning and walk in Trosley Country Park this afternoon. Determined to make the most of this weather whilst it lasts.
Well done on the shopping Mona. I have to order biscuits and cakes for hubby but I can happily leave them in the cupboard so no probs.
Well done JanetElizabeth on maintaining in your target range.
The latest SW mag is great Irene. I have it delivered to my kindle fire so it is (nearly always) to hand.
Tomorrow my friend and I are joining a walking group run by the Hands Volunteer Group who have joined up with our Church to serve a useful part in the community.
I still have some windows left to clean as didn't quite manage them all before lunch and we went walking in the afternoon
Have a good evening all

Poor you Irene with heartburn...not nice especially during the night. Yes it could be something you've eaten, hope the doctor can give you some advice.

Hello on
Wednesday Chris . SW classes just vary, I didn't find the local one helpful or friendly So I went it alone and learning from magazines articles and each other ,I am suffering a lot form heartburn, I was up in the night looking it up. The sparks medical thread is best one for looking up anything , it seems everything I like is bad for me now.! But I am picking up on a few helpful things , like 5 or .6 small meals over a day are best to avoid heartburn and we know that way if eating can suit weight loss, I am still working it out and see my doctor on Friday when I hope to learn more then, I want to get latest SW magazine you, to look at recipes, I seem in a rut lately, have a good week, Irene

Great for you Jackie...wishing you all success for going it alone!

Let's hope for another lovely day tomorrow!

Sadly, I was 'trapped' indoors as the plumber was here almost the whole day, doing some replacement pipe work and fitting a new shower unit. However I made the most of the day by 'blitzing' the study. Earned my exercise points climbing on and off a chair, rearranging and dusting a wall full of bookshelves - and did my 'floorwork', crawling around under the desk dusting skirtings and the back of the computer etc!

Tomorrow (providing nothing leaks overnight!) I get the lovely job of repacking my airing cupboard.

Good day foodwise. I made a yummy 'leek, potato and asparagus chowder' and resisted the spare doughnut I bought in case the plumber 'Lots of sugar in my tea please' wanted two!

what a simply glorious day. Hubby and I walked around Leybourne Lakes - 4 lakes and 2 ponds to be accurate. An hours walk with lovely scenery. The water fowl were disappointed we had no food for them. Never gave it a thought to be honest.

I think it's because some people might be tempted to lie about their weight loss online so they don't have to pay.

Cathy that seems strange for Target members to still have to pay online! I would have cancelled too...I only go every week because it's free, all the time I stay in target range.

Cathy...I'm sure you'll make progress again! I usually go back to basics and stop letting the extra syns creep in!

Jackie & Chris...I think lots of members feel they aren't getting what they want from their local group. I think it's easy to be an anonymous member in a large group. It took a long time before the social team remembered my name but I've been a consistent member so feel at home there now. I'm part of the social team, the 'meet & greet' person and really try to talk to members that I don't know and tend to sit alone...
Anyway, I wish you both lots of success and I know you'll carry on making progress.

Chris, you're right, cars are a nightmare!!! Hope yours is fixed very soon.

Have a great week everyone...my scale dropped the w/e bloat...!! thankfully!

I have been doing slimming world online as there are no classes here,i went to weight watchers one time and it seemed to take forever for everyone to get weighed and only a few stayed for the
talk.
I cancelled my online membership last week as i have all the information and i just use a notebook to write down what i eat.
The trouble doing it online even when you reach goal weight you still have to pay,

I find more support here than I did waiting ages for everyone to be weighed and then all the clapping each person - not at all personal praise - used to enjoy the talks and social events but we get articles and motivation on SP and instead of paying to sit on my btm for 2 hrs I can put that 2hrs to a more active use.
Everyone is different though and I know some people have enjoyed the club and had fantastic results - just not for me!

just been for my swim/walk and then spending time with hubby. Our car (only 2 years old ) and still under guarantee ceased up completely about 10 weeks ago. A lengthy wait until they agreed it was a fault covered by guarantee then another wait to get parts and finally fix it.
On getting it back it STILL has faults so we are taking it back today. We paid more money than we would liked to have done to have a reliable car in retirement and it is just a nightmare. Will take it to the garage concerned and then bus back home.
Enough grumbling - positive thoughts - the sun is shining and I have a spring in my step after my exercise.
Have a good day all

I'm like you Cathy - struggling with my weight at the moment and need to up the ante.
Class tonight but doubtful I'll go - begrudge paying a fiver every week to get weighed and hear the same stuff week after week. Will try to follow the plan without the help of the club - if it all goes pear shape and I completely lose motivation I can always join up again!
Have a great week everyone

Well done Chris...good planning there for your picnic. We had some lovely sunshine and then suddenly had a shower...not forecast!! So now it's overcast here as well.

a lovely warm day if overcast. DD and grandsons joined us for a picnic on Leysdown beach with hubby's mum. Did well with the calories - Waldorf Salad and 90 cal cereal bar for picnic and home made veg soup followed by yogurt and sunflower seeds tonight
Hope all folk here have had a great Sunday too

emoticon Annie...great to have you on the team. You have a good weight loss plan, working at smaller goals sometimes works best for members.
Have a brill holiday and hope you have some good weather too.

Thanks Jackie the party was a very nice evening.
Hope you've got your feet up whist reading that book!

Irene...hope you find some good recipes to inspire you. I know planning is hard when life suddenly changes and we have to just grab something to eat.

OK well, the food last night wasn't really my sort so just ate a piece of quiche and some salad, and a small piece of cake. Had 2 bottles of (non alcohol) Fentiman's ginger beer which are 5 syns each...thought they'd be more! Anyway I wasn't counting syns yesterday.
Back on plan now until weigh in or I shall be struggling....!! emoticon

Thanks for the welcome Irene. I live in Devon. Yes I'm looking forward to joining the local group. And to joining in here too. Most of all I'm looking forward to being that much smaller in March that I have to go buy new jeans!

I hope you'll share those light meal suggestions when you find them?

Hi Annie and welcome to our page, I look forward to getting to know you, where do you live?
Going to a local group will get you off to a good start , it's a great club , I like your aim of a pound a time , good luck.
I am glad others struggle with sparks food tracker ,I thought it was just me being dim,
I am annoyed with myself lately I can't get going properly on trying to lose a few pounds, I am ok on days I can plan ahead . But on unexpected busy days I struggle with staying on plan , often turn to bread for a quick light meal, I must dig out my old SW mags and get some suggestions for light meals. Back to bed now I have been once and got up again,

Hi - just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm off on holiday Monday for 2 weeks. That's the last holiday I have until March. That gives me a whole 26 weeks to concentrate on losing another chunk of weight before my March holiday. I hope to lose at least 25 pounds over that time. And then maintain the loss through next summer before having a go at losing another 25 pounds next Autumn/Winter.

Wednesday 24th I will join a local Slimming World club, plan my meals for the week and shop for groceries the next day, and weigh in at home and start the plan on the Friday.

Looking forward to this. I took a look at the free menus on their website and the food sounds great!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I love the Spark People Trivia quiz and do it every day. A real eye opener! emoticon
Looking forward to getting stuck into my crime book this weekend. I adore reading but rarely set aside enough time for it.
Have a half marathon walk to complete next Sunday. My kind of event - it's being held in a vineyard and every drinks station includes optional wine tasting! emoticon Will let you all know how it goes next week.
Have a fabulous weekend

emoticon Diana for dropping off 1lb!! And even better making that a personal best!!

Jackie...I think for quizzes 'trivia' info is really important...obviously the learned folk were lacking!! Great for your team, well done!!

My reward to 'me' for staying at goal weight was I wouldn't have to use the SP food tracker!!
I certainly haven't used it during SW because I have a small notebook and briefly note my food intake & syns for the day. I get 3 days per page so shows how I abbreviate everything but it works for me. I also note my weight too.

Have a great w/e everyone...it's my son's 40th party tomorrow, not expecting to go mad at the buffet food though. emoticon

Congrats on the quiz success, MadeinBritain!

I don't log my food here. It's too complicated for me and I could never find exactly what I eat.

The hospital told me to keep a food journal, which I did for the first 6 weeks and then no-one wanted to see it! However, what it did show me was my eating pattern and I managed to adjust meal timing around work to cut out a snack and the 9pm munchies.

I do log exercise. I'm hoping to build a decent run of doing a little of something everyday. Everyday that I log in, I try to do one of Coach Nicole's vids. I belong to the Sparkpeople 10 min team and I count that towards my daily commitment. Since I've been back here this time, I'm also trying to do a 30 min exercise/walk each day.

One pound down this week and I'm now the lowest I've been for several years. So happy to see a lower number come up!

One pound to go to the hospital target and four to my personal goal.

Wishing all a good weekend. emoticon

I rarely track on Spark People as I fill in a Slimming World food diary (most of the time). I used to but it seems to take so long to fill in.
Came second in the pub quiz last night - was well chuffed! Won a bottle of wine and £12.50. Not bad considering we were up against lawyers and very intelligent people!
Looking forward to a quiet weekend where I intend doing lots of reading and preparing myself for Mondays weigh in.
Have a great one guys!

I use my own calorie calculator and keep my own diary of food and exercise . It's all a matter of personal preference I feel. It really helps me to see it written down. It is easy to misjudge the water we drink. Cheese is my downfall and I gave in to cravings and had cheese on toast last night and went 150 over my limit. Slap my wrist! emoticon

Hi on Friday, I have never got on with spark tracking , do any of you do it? Maybe not as you have SW guides, I have been writing everything down for a few days. it shows my main meals are generally ok , I do have too much chocolate , also don't drink as much water as I thought I did, maybe I should keep track of Syns rather than every meal . I know my weaknesses !
No special plans fro the next few days so I must see what I can do to tighten up my extras and my water intake . Do you know your own weakness? Have a good weekend , Irene

I'm doing fine, thank you. Treated myself to an exercise DVD with 6 different half hour sessions and I'm hoping to do one a day in rotation. Grateful no-one can see my efforts at 'Latin dance'! I'm not a natural arm waver, even in private.

Birthday greetings to your son, Janet. My daughter was 36 a few days ago. Where does the time go?

My niece has just re-started SW and mentioned that her branch was packed. Good news for the organisation as they don't promote as extensively as WW.

Wishing all a happy weekend. We've been invited to a bbq. Not my favourite food so I should remain in control of the cals. It will be a lovely social event though. Old school friends that my hubby has known since he was eleven and they revert to type. Really funny to watch.

Edit: good luck with the test results. Hope all go well for both of you.

Have fun Jackie!!

Chris great tactic filling up on water...I suck a sugar free polo or two too!! My blood test was at 8.40 so I was 2nd one in and home again by 9am. Hope yours went OK too. I'm having my thyroid, cholesterol, calcium & vitamin D levels checked...and a whole host no doubt!!

Took a healthy picnic to the country park today and enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine. Just feel it's so nice to take advantage of this lovely weather.

A quick break from the ironing to say good morning and have a happy day.
Drinking water to stop hunger striking as I cannot eat until after my blood test to check cholesterol today. Hope the queue is not too long so I can enjoy a cuppa asap.
Must catch up with housework today but will hopefully fit in a DVD workout. I find it hard to exercise, socialize and keep the home in order all in the same day. Time management never was my strong point.

Thank you Janet
. Sometimes rain can be refreshing but I was not too pleased when all my bedding on the washing line had another rinse in the rain.
1163 cals used today (allowed 1200) and 35 min aerobic workout (DVD)
DH called out "do you want a cup of tea" in the middle of it when the pace was fastest and I was breathless and dripping _-_ and then he asked for our holiday dates" Couldn't understand why I told him to go away and wait till I'd finished in a very unladylike way. Bless him! emoticon

Walked to the town this morning and got caught in the rain...well, it was forecast but wasn't too bad. Managing to stay on plan, hope to get through tomorrow too! Why does it feel such an effort? emoticon

Back again - again. Good to see old friends here. Have really struggled over the last year but will not elaborate as I am now looking forward not back. Am roughly following SW but calorie counting as well as portion control becomes and issue for me with free foods. So far so good. Dr is on my case now which helps keep me motivated. With my family history I really should not have let things get this bad and I am having B.P.problems now. Only borderline but am taking it as a warning

I'll check that out, Janet. Thank you.
The Hospital plan said to look for 7-10g of sugar per 100g when reading a product label. It has been a real education to see how much sugar is in some things that I haven't regarded as particularly sweet.
I can have fruit because it is slower to break down and release its sugars. Some fruit like mango and melon are on the no list.
I am feeling lots better for it but social situations are tricky.

Oh yes the meals were very enjoyable!

Jackie...enjoy your pampering!

Diana, can you have sugar free chocolate, diabetic? Just a suggestion if it's sugar you're having to avoid.

Lovely warm day today and no chilly wind, maybe the weather people are getting it right!
