Sorry about the loss of the usher's wife. My mom always said she wanted to just go to sleep one night and not wake up. No pain, no hospital has to be the best way to go but a horrible shock for him.

The baby is going on vacation with us. It will be a real pain trying to use a public bathroom with an 8-9 month old, but we'll manage. The family is looking forward to seeing her. They would love to see Trish, too, but working at a liquor store kind of leaves the holiday vacations options closed. I wouldn't have chosen the 4th of July weekends for this but it was about the only time open and easy for most of us to get there.

I need to go out and clean up some of the stuff the oak tree has dropped since it needs to be at the curb by 6 a.m. or it'll be still sitting there until next week. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot today. Right now I would just love to take a nap. I slept the 8 hours but feel more tired now than before.

Once the little one gets bigger, that will be a nice adventure to take her on. Mine likes to go because of the nice playground at one end---LOL
Glad you are getting more help with the counting----now you can go away again---but what about the baby?
We won't be going to the pool tonight---have a memorial service to attend ---one of my dh's ushers woke up one morning to find his wife dead in her recliner---they did an autopsy and no reason why she went but it was natural causes---no sign of a stroke or heart attack at all---and they are not that old---both still working. It was a total surprise.
Hope you have a good Monday!

Thanks. Hope your day was nice. I had a pretty normal Sunday with church, Sunday School, lunch with friends from church and then counting. We had a guy come in to learn the job and he'll be back in two weeks. The lady who helped last week will be back next week so we are making progress. I'm trying to get through all my sparking since I haven't had a chance all day.
The zoo sounds fun. We talk about visiting our zoo but haven't made it for at least a year.

LOL, sounds like a nice time but also that you watch the baby too much when you think you left her somewhere.
I had my gd yesterday---we went to the zoo yesterday afternoon and then to Chick-fil-a for dinner.
Not much planned for today as it is supposed to be a downpour here today.
Have a good Sunday!

We attended an outdoor wedding this afternoon right on the lake. All that fresh air has made me really tired. We stayed for part of the reception-longer than Larry usually stays. I actually got a small slice of cake to bring home. The meal was pretty healthy and i took tiny amounts of everything. Still under calories. There were several babies there and just before we got home I was hit with the feeling that we had left Aaliyah behind but she has been home with daddy all day.

We saw The Huntsman yesterday. I still want to get to The Jungle Book.

What movie did you see? Guess you had the day off from the baby.
We had a nice event at the greenhouses and then were busy with customers that afternoon---we might sell out today or close to it so this might be my last Saturday to volunteer.
Have a good Saturday!

I had a nice time this morning with 4 friends at McD's for breakfast and/or coffee. Two or three of us actually eat and some just have coffee or hot tea. I have to eat something since I follow that an hour later with water aerobics and today water aerobics was followed by a movie with DH.

Did you get to the pool?
In my state, for something so serious, if he shows up without one the judge appoints one and has them go out and talk before he hears the case---hopefully that happened for your gs.
Hope I feel better today---might have been the weather as I didn't feel right yesterday---took a nap when I got home and that helped. Definitely need caffeine this morning.

This kid is a nonstop talker. Has been from the time he learned to talk. Even as a teenager he will come in the house, kneel by my chair and talk. That's the main reason he's on meds for AD/HD. I don't know who his attorney is but Sarah said she knew he needed one. Maybe their cop friend can help there.

I need to keep an eye on the clock because I haven't been to the pool yet this week. I really need the workout.

Won't he have a lawyer with him? Hopefully he told him to keep his mouth shut. Probably talks too much to cover up his nervousness---but yes, it could be a disability due to those things--have to get him tested to see if there is a problem.
I cut my workout down by 10 minutes last night---was just too tired to do more---did too much on Tuesday--but the pool did help the achy muscles.
Cool and rainy seems to be our forecast for the next 5 days after being too hot on Tuesday.

We're supposed to be in the upper 80s all week. ugh
The place our DD took me blueberry picking had a table set up with bags filled so you could just pick up what you wanted and drop your money in the box or grab an empty bucket and pick your own. There is (or never has been when I've been) no one there to take your money-it's all done on honor system. The strawberry farm has a lot of employees and always have flats of prepicked you can just buy. Dawn likes to pick her own unless she's in a hurry.

Well, my GS was at the courthouse at 8 this morning but I haven't heard if he's seen the judge or not. I hope the officer who arrested him (a good family friend) is there to put in a good word or something. Problem is this kid never knows when to stop talking and his story changes every time. Does being born after your heart stopped and/or having epilepsy damage the brain enough to cause these things? Would anything like that be taken into consideration???? I didn't sleep well last night thinking of all these things and how fast his life could be over because of his mouth and the rough kids that are already in lockup. emoticon

We get fresh from a local stand---can't pick them ourselves any more so we pay someone else to do it--LOL--and they are so good---hopefully in a few weeks they will be ready ---it the weather will cooperate---it was in the 80's here yesterday and today won't hit 60---but yesterday was too hot! Did get a lot done but would have liked to get more done---but just too hot and too sore to do much more.

I have those trees growing in my yard but just mowed them off the other day. I need to get them before they get too big. Nothing else will grow there because of all the shade by the big trees. After 80 minutes of mowing the other day I finally got out this evening and spent 45 minutes finishing up the back. This afternoon we spent sitting by the river while several fellow retired employees of Larry's discussed what may or may not need to be done to protect our pensions. I guess the IRS has a problem with the way some paperwork was done by the company. They have another meeting on the other side of town next week. Larry is trying to get to all of them to stay on top of the issue.

Hope you do get some strawberries! I usually get mine from the one grocery store though I have gone out to the Florida panhandle and gotten fresh. Our daughter lives out there and has discovered the joy of baking and canning with fresh picked.

OMG, I walked 7 miles yesterday---most in the greenhouses, and did 80 minutes in the pool---such a busy day!
Have off today for primary---doing lots of yard work---got the front circle bed done---it will look nice when it fills in, put some dirt along the edges of the repaired beds up front---and paid a neighbor boy to pull weeds and tiny trees in the back yard---he didn't do a perfect job but a whole lot less work for me back there and worth the money I paid him---my legs will really appreciate it---and now I can plant the impatiens back there. Dh uncovered his strawberry plants---hope we get some from them this year.
Hope you have a good day!

Being with the flowers sounds really nice and relaxing.
I am up, dressed and fed so it is time to get out with the mower especially since most of the neighbors got theirs done over the weekend.

I did go shopping and got a new pair of shoes and the socks, then to Walmart to pick up a few items and check out the prices of other things
I will be in the greenhouses most of the day---half the students won't come this morning as we start the stupid Parcc testing today--I will need to go back down to the regular section for lunch and English class, then back to the flowers for the afternoon. Good thing I have the pool tonight.

It sounds like it was a good move and choice for you.
We were not as busy as expected---think more because of the weather being overcast and looking like rain---we did have some sprinkles and then a downpour about the time we would be closing.
Went to bed early last night and slept pretty good but woke up with a headache---think the weather. Plan on taking it easy today---need a day of relaxing but also need to go do a bit of shopping--I need some short socks to wear with my sneakers to school.

We moved to Florida when DH got a really good job offer thanks to some friends. Kris said we had to move so she would know someone and the deal was too good to pass up especially with all moving expenses paid. He retired last year after 30 years.

That is why almost all my garden beds are raised ones---much easier on the knees and on the weeding. You could do lots of pots. I wouldn't know how to garden in Florida either. Did you move there because your children were settled there or to escape the winters in Nebraska?
Heading to the greenhouses shortly--expect that most of the tomatoes will be gone at the end of the morning--we don't have a whole lot left considering what we did have.
Have a good Saturday! Hope all the grands behave!

Oh, I know that feeling. It has gotten so if I ask my daughter to ask her husband if he can help with some electrical work (which he does for a living) or anything else she complains that it's too hot, he doesn't have time, etc. Really irritating.

I also hate watching for plants to grow and then half the time I can't tell the flowers from the weeds. I tried some gardening when we moved here and nothing grew. Nebraska weather is way different than Florida weather. One of the TV weathermen was a gardener and he did a bit every day on what to plant when and how. Boy were the growing seasons different. One friend from South Dakota said to just do it all opposite from what we did back home. I just gave up on it and now I can't do much on my hands and knees or bend over for long so no more gardening for me. Well, the 3 grandkids are all here in separate rooms so it's really quiet at least until Aaliyah decides she's hungry again.

Hopefully the sessions will help all of them--teenagers take minor things so seriously but there also might be some serious things going on that she doesn't know about---but how honest will he be with her there?
LOL to all of you taking a nap. We finally had rain after I got home and after I had gone out and watered my plants ---none are in the ground yet so then need more water than normal---think we might be safe to plant the tomatoes this weekend. Dh had mowed what was left of the front yard and the side yard---both needed it badly---hoping the seeds start showing some signs of life---know it is a bit too early to see results---but it is hard to wait for it to grow---LOL
Dh got a phone call asking him to watch Reagann in the morning---think that is all but it might be all day---but what gets me is that we love watching her and really don't mine---but it would be nice that once in a while when we ask that son for help, that he would actually come and help us out and not have an excuse.

They don't turn a blind eye to it but are at a loss on how to fix the problem. First they have to figure out what the problem is. He tells me sometimes that he needs to stop the pain but who knows what the pain is if he can't explain it. Mom has to sit in on all the sessions so she'll get it all.

Sorry your student seems to be such a pain! Hope he learns to follow orders.

The clouds rolled in this afternoon so it is nice and dark so Larry, Aaliyah and I all fell asleep. She woke up so we're all awake and grandpa has her for a while "talking" with her. Well, I guess the clouds are rolling over-don't know if there's another bank rolling through or if it just made it wet enough I can't do the mowing.

With classes so large they probably should be on the deck. Do you do a lot in the shallow end or the deep end? We do most of ours in the deep end which I prefer.
My student disobeyed me yesterday and went down to the Bocche coach early--and I had no idea where he was but did call down there and found him----he will be in so much trouble today---actually for the next month for doing this---he will be on a very short leash now---I try to give him a bit of freedom while he is down in Horticulture as he needs this---but now it won't happen.
So glad it is Friday--although it will be humid and have rain this afternoon, at least we might not be so busy in the greenhouses if it is. I work them tomorrow morning and I could use a break this afternoon.
Hope this new place/visit will be a good thing for your grandson--hope he is learning a valuable lesson. Did you take something to occupy your time while waiting? Will mom have some counseling while she is there with him? It might help is she had someone to talk about things to do and watch out for when he is home. So often parents turn a blind eye until something bad happens---like the ostrich with its head in the sand.
Have a good one!

What a nice neighbor!

No, our instructors stay up on the deck so they can see everyone in the pool and most of them teach other classes right after so changing would make them late all the time. The last time I had an instructor in the water was back in the 90s, I think, though the one at the resort may have. That's been so long ago I've forgotten. I like being able to see what they are doing with their feet which I wouldn't be able to if they were in the pool. Yesterday's class had 30 people.

Today, I was able to relax for an hour or two this morning then drove GS to the Behavioral Center for his drug test plus a counseling or getting to know you session that lasted about an hour and half. We then grabbed lunch and came home. He has a questionnaire to fill out before his next appointment but his mom will take him for the rest. I was not allowed to write his name down on the check-in pad-he had to do that himself and he has another form he has to fill out himself. Learning a bit of responsibility now. I did tell him the wrong time to write down-don't know if they noticed that though they should have heard me say it. It's not my fault the clock looked like it said 9 o'clock. Guess I was trying to redo the whole morning.

Don't you just hate that--his talking back to the TV---esp. with sports---my dh would get very nasty watching football and I told him that with small children, that was not going to happen--so I got him to quit watching football---occasionally we will watch soccer and when he starts in on the officials, I tell him to find something else to watch---and politics--OMG----this has been a terrible 2 years with these candidates, we watch very little of that mess because of that.
Glad you had a good workout even though it was a big awkward---don't your instructors get in the pool with you? Ours generally do. I worked out as best I could last night--I just felt so achy that the water felt good and I did what I could without making myself feel more miserable----and it did help---I think I just need to take a day soon and just do nothing again.
Dh got my flower beds rebuilt with the help of a neighbor who saw him working and just came down and helped him out. I am so glad I don't have to help with that as I think the other night doing that is the root of my issues right now.
Hope you have a good day today

We had pretty nice day today. I went to Trish's and watched Aaliyah while she used my car to get to the bank and then brought sandwiches home for us. She then got some cleaning and filing done while I watched Aaliyah play. Much nicer than listening to my husband talk back to the TV. emoticon My stomach gets upset if I eat too fast or too much because it's been operated on twice. Sometimes I can eat whatever I want and other times it just doesn't want anything. I had a nice aqua class this morning-a pretty good workout. The leader for this class is a great gal but I'm not sure she's taken too many aqua classes because some things are just awkward. She does walk around the pool and correct positions though which is good. It is getting late and I need to finish up with my sparking.

Oh yeah, I hate having to shower twice a day because something else has to get done. Hope you sleep better tonight. My husband always has to have the ceiling fan on no matter what the temperature is.

Hope you don't have a stomach flu. Maybe it was the pushing on your stomach by the baby that made it that way. Hope you feel better today and can get to the pool---if you don't, then stay away from the baby, too.
Did way too much yesterday---I was hot and tired from the greenhouses but when I got home dh was working on the flower beds so I had to help---I was so yucky that I had to take a 2nd shower in one day. It was hot and being outside so much made me feel miserable---and think I need to take my hat with me to school as the top of my head was red. Woke up with a headache from having the ceiling fans on last night. Today won't be that warm today---thankfully----felt more like June than April yesterday.
Looking forward to the pool tonight.

GD was in a different mood today that yesterday, too. She would be really happy and then suddenly start crying. She made grandpa mad so he kept turning the TV up so he could hear which didn't make neither Aaliyah nor I happy. He finally left the room to watch the show in the bedroom. ugh Aailyah, after 7 ounces of formula, wanted to eat and ate about half of one of the applesauce cups made for kids' lunches. She also wanted to jump on me and throw herself backwards. She actually uses her abs with a little pulling on my hands to sit back up, then laughs and lets go. Crazy kid! I didn't go to the pool because before he got grumpy my DH fixed dinner and gave me a big plate. I ate about half and then felt too stuffed and most of it came back up. ugh-not the way you want to feel at the pool. Maybe tomorrow morning since we have no baby. DD did say she would like me to come over-guess she hasn't yet figured out how to clean with a baby in the house.

I bet she was sweet sitting there talking to you.
Pool was a bit cooler than usual---but it was a very warm day so it still felt good to get into it.
Dh did not seem to want my help for today so going into work---but honestly, i should have just taken off and relaxed today.

I haven't done anything today other than go pick up DD and DGD, drop DD off at work then babysit and wait to find out what the news is on my GS's hearing. We learned they are going to give him one more shot at finishing this semester and getting some credits but if he messes up he's gone. He'll have to find a private school. We have one that rents our education building for a private school so that would be my first shot and may still be even if he's allowed back to the regular high school. We grabbed lunch at Steak and Shake and the two of us are fighting sleep while Aaliyah is chatting away not sleepy at all.

Yes, it was---I didn't do much and finally got the spot to relax and stop feeling like a toothache---but will probably agitate it again today. Thinking of taking off tomorrow as it will be lovely to help dh get some of the work done in the front yard. We bought the wood yesterday and he hopes to get it done this week.
Glad you had a good day!
Pool tonight---yippee!

Yeah, I understand that! I had a pretty quiet day and the weather is perfect at least for me. Even the money counting went well.

I hope today was a lot better and you can get a good night's sleep.

So glad you got to the pool---I am sure you needed it. I sure could have used the pool last night---I was so sore and I took meds all day long but it didn't help much. I finally went to bed and piled on the blankets on my legs to create a warm cocoon and that finally seemed to help---but by the middle of the night I had to come out of that--too hot--LOL

Yeah, it's usually easier to do it yourself than to put up with a bunch of kids who don't or won't pitch in and do their part. I'm hoping they can send home all the work from the time he left school to the end of the year and we can get him through that even if it goes on vacation with us. We just have to wait for these tests and their answers.

I dropped my car off at Sun Tire this morning and Larry and I went next door for breakfast. Larry then drove me to the gym and waited in the car while I did water aerobics. I got 15 minutes before class started and then left at 10 with the instructor still teaching but got 75 minutes in. I just had to go to the bathroom so badly I couldn't do another 15. lol I am now home with my grandson and his two dogs while their bombing their house. I'm thinking the kid may stay until after church tomorrow unless his mom is planning on attending.

Guess the certified letter had directions for the drug test in it. Yes, she can request his work to be gathered up and he do it at home while out---the school has to do that---she might have to go in to get it but they do have to provide it nowadays. Or the teachers must excuse him from the activities and just base his grade on what he has been there for. Crazy system. We have kids who don't care and their parents don't care either and they get their work and won't do it and you all are just the opposite and have to fight for the work.
I was hurting bad last night---was out in the garden center all afternoon---kids sitting on their a** inside eating pizza---had to go in for a potty break and caught them---teacher was off donating blood---so they told him I fussed at them---well, he was livid with them for being inside while the greenhouse was full of customers and he laid them out and made them come outside finally. I am working the green houses this morning and I can tell you that if they are not working, they will be told to go home---rather do all the work than have that going on around me.

I missed aqua because I had to stay home with GS until his mom showed up. She got held up trying to find the certified letter that she didn't get and the post office couldn't find. I guess they tried to deliver it and she was sleeping or not home and it was probably sleeping since she works nights. They went to the board without the letter and they decided he has to go in for some tests-drug test along with other things. I'll be taking him in for that on Thursday and there goes another week of school. I'm getting to the point of just grabbing the boy and moving out of state until he finishes school. He's not going to get any credits for this entire semester unless they come up with a plan to let him have some books and homework that he could do at home. It's all so frustrating. Plus Sarah took him home so he didn't finish the yard work here he was here to do. NOT FAIR!! emoticon

Well, that was quite the talk---hopefully your grandson answered in more than just grunts. Lazy is so common any more---I just wonder if they will ever break out of that mold the way the world is going. I know I had a hard time with my oldest--that last year was a nightmare with cops to the house 2x--finally had to show tough love once he got that diploma---shape up and no more cops or find some place else to live---I had to think and protect my other sons at home---it was hard but he learned things the hard way and is a hard worker now---in fact, he came by tonight and did a favor for us.
Well, we finally have a non-clogged house---the plumber had to take out a portion of a pipe and replace it plus he had to redo under the sink as it had leaks, then he put in a new outdoor spigot for us---so hopefully we will have no more plumbing issues for a long time. So, the first thing I did was put in a load of laundry---and wouldn't you know it---the washer messed up and would not shut off the water flowing in---I had to call the company about the code---she made a suggestion of unplugging it for 2 minutes so it could reset itself---that is what my oldest son came and did---I couldn't quite reach it---so when I got back from eating out---hopefully for the last time with us paying for a while---LOL---I ran a 2nd load and had no problem---so glad that lady suggested doing that---one load is done, dried, folded and put away, 2nd load is washed and in the dryer and a third load is in the washer. I have cleaned the sinks, done a bunch of hand dishes, and washed a few odds and ends by hand, too.

He's been out of school for a couple days so we were keeping him busy. We didn't get much done at my house because of going to take Trish to work then visiting with Sam and Jane. Same took GS to the "sitting room" and talked with him for about 3 hours. Then we just all sat and visited for a bit before we headed home. I actually told Jane I was just moving in-that house is fantastic and huge!! They bought a nice house on a lot of property and then enlarged it so their daughter, son-in-law and their 2 kids could live there, too. The grandkids actually said they would not live in the pool house with their parents but would stay in the big house with their grandparents. The grandson (the autistic child) won't even call his parents his parents since his grandparents have pretty much raised him. Both the parents are military and usually in different parts of the world. Sam and Jane's other daughter has an upstairs section of the house for herself and her daughter. The big house actually has 3 staircases to different sections of the upstairs. It would take me a while to find my way around. The kitchen looks like something out of one of those remodeling shows on TV.

Sam told me that the kid is being 's--t a-s lazy' which I think is something his dad was also called in school. LOL it runs in the family apparently but Shane Sr did finally straighten up and graduate. Hopefully Shane junior will have the same options. He goes before the school board in the morning. Sam did say that possibly we should go with home schooling if nothing else works. emoticon I would think more of a private school with help from a scholarship program for kids with handicaps like ADHD. Just praying things go well-it's "just" 2 more years of school.

Because of all this I missed aqua but will be there in the morning while he is at the hearing.

That is nice that they want to see if they can help---maybe they can get him on the right track to work with disabled/challenged kids since he was so good with their son---he might have a calling for that---but he needs to be reminded that to do that work, he has to keep his record clean---right now, he's a juvenile, but if charged as an adult, it won't come off the records. Sounds like you think he did a nice job in cleaning up and the yard work. Did he have off school yesterday? We are having some issues at my school and have more police presence and more of the board members showing up and staying around the hallways---a fight happened across the street--a result of what happened the Thursday before Easter when we had the fire and someone got punched---2 kids got arrested, one taken to the hospital--and the parents of the 2 kids should have gotten arrested too---they took their sons there for the fight---so there are a lot of rumors brewing around the building.
I spent a lot of time on my feet in the greenhouses yesterday with customers---so my legs were hurting bad but the pool workout helped a lot---I need to remember to take meds with my lunch today so it won't be so bad on the legs today.
Have a good one!

Hope it dries up and you can get everything done.
We spent the day at our DD3's home so our GS could get in some punishment by mowing, trimming bushes, mopping floors, etc. It was a decent birthday gift for Aaron, too, since he came home from work to a neat yard and garage. I wanted the garage cleaned up because it was so hard to walk through it with the baby. I was always scared of whoever was carrying her tripping over something. Tomorrow after dropping DD3 at work I am taking GS over to visit with one of our former Sunday School teachers who had him in class for a couple years with their autistic son. They both loved GS because he always treated Liam so nicely unlike a lot of other kids. Sam was a school principal for years-just retired last year and they want to see if there is anything they can do to help him. I'm starting to think we need to do some more scans or other tests to see exactly how his brain works.

So do I. They didn't come back yesterday to level it off as it was pouring rain all day until late afternoon---but it did drain well---we have sandy soil but will need stones for that driveway soon. Just need to figure out how much we need.
Pool tonight.

My gd has had that issue for a long time and she is going to be 7 on Friday---you should see the size of her poop---don't know how that big a turd can come out of her little body--caused a lot of problems with potty training, too. No wonder the little thing gets fussy at times.
It is so nice having my toilet back---took a shower this morning, too---that felt good, too. Will have lots to do in the front yard now---need to plant grass seed and put in new flower beds where they had to be taken up to lay the new lines. The driveway will need a new coat of stones, too---good thing we took out extra money in case we would need it---now we definitely do need it.
Red Hats tonight.

I, too, hope your toilet is usable tonight. I wouldn't be able to go all night without one.

GD is a little fussy this afternoon after a long night. She does have an issue with constipation though doctors say it's not really constipation-some babies just don't go as often. This poor kid has to push hard to get anything out. Maybe grandpa will feed her some applesauce while I'm at the church finance meeting.

Dh said the new sewer line was in and they were working on the water line---sure hope those things are done and we can use them tonight---they did tell dh that they can be used if not covered as they can't cover them until the city inspector comes and checks them out--sure hope we can use the toilet tonight. We will eat out as nothing was taken out even if they are done.

That IS a lot. Isn't it amazing how the body can deal with some choices and then others you think will be okay aren't?? No pool for me today, either. I have vacuumed and have half an hour to spark before picking up DD and DGD.

I was worried because he ate those rolls at the restaurant along with a baked sweet potato---but he also ate all 11 ounces of his steak and some chili--usually he brings half of it home.
No pool tonight---no teacher---she has a big test on Tuesday so they gave her the evening off---we want her to do well so we are okay with that. I almost forgot we don't have class today.

I slept pretty well the second time I went to bed. lol The first time I lay down, covered up and remembered I had the cream cheese on the counter so I could try mixing up a flavored cream cheese for bagels so I got up and did that before heading back to bed.

Glad the early eating didn't bother your husband's count. My husband will say he can't anything late because of that but it's just as bad to go extra long periods with no food so I told him to eat protein at least. He had some bacon and eggs and the next morning his count was near perfect so he learned something there and is trying to eat a bit more protein instead of the "bad" side items.

How did you sleep? I slept pretty well. I think we will eat out early again today as then I don't want much at night and can just have a snack---and it didn't hurt dh's sugar count by our eating early yesterday.

I think it was his very first time going to that location. Glad you got to visit and shower. I've done nothing all day- hope I can sleep well tonight.

Just crazy for a manager not to have the key but other employees do. Sorry you missed the pool.
We went to our middle son's house today to take showers--that way we got to see our granddaughter, too---she is so full of energy. We had hail a couple of times today and they do say we might get some snow mixed into the weather tonight---raining pretty hard at the moment---hope it gets over with this weekend so that they can fix our sewer on Monday

Someone probably should have given him a key before he got there but I guess figuring someone was supposed to be in at 8 it would be okay. The guy that was supposed to be in at 8 thought he wasn't due in until 11 or 12 and then never came in at all because he had to take his little one to the hospital-can't remember what happened, but the guy wasn't having a good day.

I was planning on aqua this morning-got up early, fixed breakfast, brought the paper in and read it while I finished my coffee. I guess I was taking longer than usual with the paper because when I looked at the clock it was after 9 and by the time I got my suit on, my bag packed and driven down to that location class would have been at least half over. darn! I have been watching some of these "home improvement" shows-Flip or Flop and 5 day flip. It's really quiet around here without Aaliyah.

I can't believe a store manager doesn't have a key. That is crazy. Bet manager was hot. Sounds like a good workout. Most times I push myself unless I am in pain, then I work the muscles I can.

I did get my class today and she decided we needed to do some cardio. Wow, she had my heart rate up with several one minute fast as you can go drills. emoticon She said after class that she could see I was really working my muscles and not just doing the motions. There are a lot who just do the minimum motions and are there mostly for the company rather than the exercise. I've been home with grandbaby since class. I'm not sure what time her parents are picking her up. Larry dropped Trish off at work at 10 this morning and their new store manager was waiting outside. He doesn't have a key yet and the early morning person never showed up-she was supposed to be there at 8 to do the morning stock count. WOW wonder how that goes jobwise!

Glad you have time today to get to the pool---you need it so that you can have the energy to watch that grand.
We are having to have our sewer and water pipes replaced---necessity---but they are probably at least 50 years old so getting them done means we shouldn't have any issues with them for the rest of our lives.

No pool yesterday or today. Just busy doing other things-nothing important. Trish does try to do things for me but she can't do the one thing that would really help and that would be a normal work schedule with the same hours every day. Tomorrow I will enjoy my Friday coffee group and then aqua. Larry (with Aaliyah) and I should get home about the same time.

You are so good to watch the grandbaby so much, but your dd better realize that you need some time for yourself, too. Did you get to the pool yesterday?
I did---good workout.

Sounds like a good evening. My DH wants to go see a movie but we have to find a time that we don't have the baby and I hate going to the theater on Friday or Saturday night so... One of these days we'll make it.

Glad you got to the pool finally. We visit but we are also moving the whole time, like you. That's the whole reason why we get there early---to warm up and to chat while doing it.
We went and got the new Star Wars movie, picked up pizza, and had us a movie night.

I did not finish the mowing today, but went to DD3's to babysit while she and her sister, DD2, went for mani-pedis. Afterwards we went to lunch at Olive Garden which I paid for with gift cards I've been carrying around for a year or so since my husband isn't wild about that restaurant. I got in a nice long session in the pool this evening but only because my husband commented that my clock must have died. This clock hangs on the wall in front of my chair and said it was 4:05 when in reality it was 5:40. I managed to get changed and to the pool before 6 (it's about 3 blocks) and I always start moving as soon as I get in even if there's not a lot of room or people want to talk. Some of them just stand in one place to visit. I don't get that. The instructor was late due to an accident on the bridge so she was almost 20 minutes late but did teach for her hour before heading off to her next gig be it another class somewhere or home. As for me, I can't stop yawning. emoticon

Wow, that was workout ---the pool would have helped the muscles after that. Hope you can get there today or at least get the mowing done.
I woke up to snow this morning---not enough for a delay but what a surprise.

I wanted a pool this afternoon but didn't have the energy to change and go. A couple hours of mowing and raking, bagging and dragging to the curb. I did luck out when the kids came to pick up their daughter Aaron helped with the last two bags. I'm not sure I would have finished up. I did not get the mowing finished-maybe tomorrow.

Didn't do much of anything yesterday---the wind was really roaring for most of the day so I just hibernated---going to be windy all week, too---yuck. I got so stiff from doing nothing but took meds and was able to sleep last night---hate taking pills. Looking forward to the pool tonight. Hope you get to the pool more this week.

I like a nice hot cup of tea for that. lol I'll have to get out tomorrow and mow since all the rain has the grass growing like crazy. Of course, the weeds are growing even faster. I'm glad you had a good turnout. This morning was Sunday school, church service, lunch, read paper and getting the money counted and to the bank. I've just been messing on the computer since then. Guess I should think about dinner.

Have you ever tried putting your face over a steaming pot of water with a towel draped over----the moisture might help. I am sure those issues are a large part of your problem---at least the rain should have washed down a lot of pollen for a little while---I am thinking all the rain plus all the wind we had last night, the pollen levels are pretty low here today.
Had a great afternoon with my gd---I worked the greenhouses yesterday morning---even though it was rainy, we had a decent amount of business---people know we sell out early so they are coming earlier to buy and get good selections. Today I plan on not doing much---too windy outside for me.

I didn't get to the pool yesterday nor today. I haven't done anything today. I was going to try getting the yard mowed but woke to it pouring rain and it did that several more times today. It is just now clearing up. I have a nasal spray I use occasionally but not often. I can't stand sprays or anything in my nose. I have a hole in my septum and am missing the upper sinuses which are supposed to be in the forehead area. I think that's why the face hurts so much.

Hopefully the pool will help alleviate some of that sinus issue--the moist air in the pool area should help. Do you rinse your nose out with saline spray after being outside? Wondering if that would help you some.
Hoping to have gd for a while today---plus I need to go to the school and work the greenhouses for a while---hoping dh will bring gd there to visit me---I want her to develop a love of gardening, too.

You're right, she is pretty smart and is also a planner so things get done when they need to be done along with saving the money needed for those things. Wish my youngest daughter had learned some of that!! emoticon

I didn't make it to water aerobics again because of my sinuses. The allergies had reached the point of making my face feel like it was going to explode. I really need to get there in the morning-not have the GD will make that a bit easier.

Glad you got a different job--sounds better suited to you than the DD shop. And not as many temptations---LOL
Kerry, your dd found something that interested her and then she went for something that interested her later in life---smart girl.
Glad I stayed home yesterday---they did a drug search at school and evacuated them for an hour---and it was chilly and very windy---I would have been in sad shape after that as bad as the wind treated me on Tuesday. Going back to work today---and April brings showers to start out the month.

Keeping busy is really important at this stage of our lives-way to go. My middle daughter's first job out of Cosmetology school (The College of Hair Design in Lincoln, NE) was at a Fantastic Sam's right across the street from our church. She was licensed for barber cuts and regular hair cuts/dos, etc. She came back to Florida, got the job, bought herself a car and kept busy. One Saturday morning she actually had to older ladies (80s) fight about who got to the door first! emoticon She was good enough that people would wait in line rather than use a different stylist. She still cuts our hair but has gotten her RN and is a night nurse at the local hospital. She's the mom to our two oldest grandkids. Interesting info, right. Okay, just to me. lol

It's nice to know the pool is up and ready to use. I haven't met a pool guy yet who wants anyone in the pool while they're cleaning it. Even with the hot tub at the gym they guy was in working on the pool and told us what day and time he does the hot tub so we don't use it then. Enjoy the quiet season and I'm sure you'll be in the pool soon. I have about 10 minutes to decide if I'm getting to water aerobics and I think the answer is no. I'm getting hungry now and need to shop for some baby stuff (keeping diapers on hand is vital!!) and really have no energy. I was up extra early this morning to get DD to work before 8.

Hi, Everyone!

Just dropped in to say Hi and let you know I'm still alive. I'm so busy, wish I could not be as busy as I am, but it helps in the focus, the "keep moving" issues, and pays the bills. Haven't been to the pool except to walk by and make sure it's still there, working, and clean. It was closed for maintenance today, but we walked past it and saw Bruce, the pool cleaner doing his thing. It's as crystal clear as ever. No body was in it, cuz he gets upset if they go in while he's working in it.

It was inviting, but as noted earlier, too busy for it. Eventually, I will slow down some and find the time. Most of the "tourists" (Snowbirds) have left and it's getting quiet again. Work is slowing down as little by little the snowbirds come in for one last cut, shampoo, and style then leave for the North.

Love my new job at Fantastic Sam's. Only do reception/cashiering and a little clean up, plus keep the towels washing/drying, and the towel cupboards full. It's fun, I get to talk to people and keeps my brain going.

Have a great day, all.
