I have been starting over at midnight as suggested and just let my body work it out. So far so good :) I wish what I was eating was a little better but my portions have gotton a lot better so I am still feeling motivated :D

I'm a bit under the weather (sinus infection) but other than that I'm great! About to take a nap for work!

Sammy I just track as I eat. I let my time and stuff start at midnight like others do. I just keep up with what I do in a 24hr time span and seeing how the site starts over at midnight I do too!

I am feeling a little tired and quite guilty. How do y'all track food working night shift? I am wondering if since we sleep our 8 hours or so during the day, should we track differently then people witha regular schedule?

I find it easy to procrastinate on exercise too. I think I use working overnight as a crutch, but my energy level is different! I am forcing myself to exercise 30 minutes 4 times a week. I have too many plans for my future to be unhealthy! emoticon

Today I am feeling sluggish and trying to motivate myself to get moving and exercise. I know I will feel much better if I just get moving and stop procrastinating. Just need to get my mind to override my body...lol.

Today is day one of getting back on track with eating healthy after a month of eating junk. I feel great because I did not cheat and I went for a 45 minute walk out in the gorgeous sunshine.

I am feeling good today, on a Tuesday, because I have had the last 2 nights off! My schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7:30 am. I am in my 5th month of this schedule. My time time working 3rds. I'm glad this group exists!

Yes our eating schedule is different from the norm but more people have to work the night shift now. I do the best I can to keep eating as normal as possible but lunch is at 4 am Monday thru Friday sometimes Saturday. Have a great day everyone.

I track my meals just how I eat them, when I wake up I have "my breakfast" when my family has there dinner around 6 pm. I track it under breakfast. Then at 11:00 I am at work and pack leftovers from families dinner and have that for "my lunch" Then I usually eat a small " dinner" around 3 am which is a piece of fruit and yogurt or V8 juice and cheese and crackers. I use my "snack" either in the in the morning if I have to up a while before I get to sleep or if I have to wake up earlier then planned and it will satisfy me until I get my first meal.

Hope this gives you some help.

I got done with work and went for a walk. I usually go for about a mile, give or take, basically 20-25 minutes. It's little but more than the sporadic exercise I was doing that provided little result. I was on vacation for almost two weeks, the first night back wasn't horrible.

I would like some advice on how to track/plan meals. Since my day starts around everyone else's dinner time I'm not sure how to track and when is the appropriate time to eat. I've been pretty good at staying within my calorie range for the past week so that's a start.

How do I feel: Hopeful that I can stick with my plan of going to slow and not beating myself up if I have a cheat day here or there.

Nice to see some activity again on this site.
I sleep in shifts but I try and do bollyfit which is on at 9 am at least 3 times a week. I get up around two or three in the afternoon and excercise for about a hour six days a week.
Eating pattern through the week is yogurt fruit crackers and laughing cow cheese or cheese whiz at one thirty am, lunch 4 varies about 400 cals, 6 am fibre bar or thinsations breakfast when I get home and supper around five. I've reached my goal so this worked for me. I find eating five or six times a day works.
Hope this helps or gives you some ideas to work with.

@Suewag - I work full-tim, three twelves. Especially if I work them three days in a row, then I usually exercise on my days off, because I know I will not exercise the days I work. One the other hand, I also try to add exercise when I am working by taking walks around my unit during my shift.

I will admit that I have been slacking for months now and gained 11 pounds because of it. I let stress and other things distract me and now I re-motivated to my goal. I am feeling sluggish and I know that is because of the lack of exercise. I am welcoming myself back.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Back to work tonight but at leasst I'll be back on a routine. It was a beautiful weekend.
