Glad to have you on our team!
I am not like most of the other swimmers, I am not very athletic and swim on the slow side. My goal is just to swim 2 miles per week. As of today I am at 4 3/4 miles. You just might be able to catch me :)
I'm about to start swimming again, and I'd love to join you. I was out on my bike all summer, but school's about to start and I'm getting ready to bring my workouts indoors. The school-pools where I swim won't open until just after Labor Day, so I'll start then.
I'm not sure I can get 40 miles by January, though. I'll give it a shot. My goal is to swim 4 times a week and to be satisfied with 3. I have other kinds of exercise I'm trying to squeeze in as well, so it all gets tricky. If I do three miles a week, I'll just barely make it before the pools close for the winter break in mid-December. I'll just swim at the back of the pack and you guys can wave as you lap me ;)
