Friday: 0.8 K - 8.5 K down - 55.8 to go
On Friday I was really slow because I've been very tired, but I did my usual minutes.

You are totally awesome, I'm not going to the pool this morning because I got a perm last night and I don't want it ruined, how vain is that?

Listen, someone suggested another logo, and I put it on my sparks page, for you to view. Vote on my sparks page, by entering a comment there.

Hi, Marjam!
I'm not an expert in swimming, but I am an expert in burnout - lol! Could it be that you pushed yourself too much trying to increase your swimming? If this is the case, listen to your body and take it really slow!

I was at the pool again today, and did another 0.75 miles. 37.75 more to go.

Is this where we post what we've done? I'm not sure...
Anyway, my pool re-opened today and I got my first 'official' swim. The water was crystal-clear and I enjoyed myself incredibly.
I did 1200 meters or 0.75 miles.
39.25 more miles to go.

I unexpectedly went to the beach today. Did 1/2 mile, and I'm thrilled about it.
However, I'm afraid the sun was a little too much for me. I hope I don't burn too much!

That weighing thing is sooo hard. I go into the bathroom and the scale is right there! I think I need to hide my scale.

I don't watch Oprah much, but I happened to turn it on the other night, and her personal trainer, Bob Greene, was on. He was saying that you should only weigh in once or twice a month. And when you are first starting to exercise, you should not weigh for the first TWO months. Yikes. He said with the increase of muscle and retention of water, it could even cause weight gain at first.

That's hard becuase the dropping of the scale is a big motivator. Of course being able to button my pants helps to motivate me a little too. emoticon

I have two small children, so time is really an issue for me too. So I've been going to the Y during my lunch hour at work. And on the weekends, my husband is home, so he can do something special with the kids for an hour while I go work out.

I'm glad I can be an inspiration. I just hope this lasts more than 2 weeks! Chances are, when this swimming wears out, I'll need you all for the inspiration! LOL!

Have a great night!

both are an issue for me too. what i did this morning was set my clock a little earlier - 4:00 am. i slowly got up and was able to stretch and then leave. i did not force myself to wake up.

i don't know the answer. i just keep on working and reworking my plan until i can become consistent.

i am working on making my healthy lifestyle a priority.

you will figure out what is best for you. but don't feel guilty when you don't workout. just feel good when you do. emoticon

Our pool is 18 laps = 1/2 mile. I typically try to swim that everyday.

I'm excited that there is actually a board out here to account for this! Yipee!
