Kayaking all by myself (with group but not Val). Val helped me set up kayak on vehicle the day before but I (with some assist) got kayak on top and then lashed it down. Yeah me!

I did a three hour hike today at Sebring at the Highland Hammock State Park. The trails and buildings were developed by the CCC in the 30's. It's a great place to hike at.

AQUAGIRL08 - so hope they work. Physically, it has been a challenging year for you.

I finally chose my reward for two years of exercise. I have been trying to use a pair of trekking aka hiking poles with Nordic tips. However, they don't have the right handle and wrist strap to do Nordic walking correctly. Nordic poles have a wrist strap system that is easier on wrists. With all the wrist & tendonitis problems I have had in the past, I decided to get a pair of Nordic poles.
Years ago, I had a chance to do a 10+ mile walk with a pair of Nordic poles. They had a quick release system for the straps. After researching, I decided on a particular pair of Leki poles. Problem is, they are out of stock until next year. What I am proud of myself for (and lucky I could afford to do), is that I allowed myself to buy a more expensive pair. They will be lighter than the ones I wanted to order. That is a very good thing.
Now, I have to wait to get them in.
Still on exercise streak; I've got too much time in it to even consider dropping it.

I'm proud of myself for driving close to 1250 miles since last Thursday. I drove up to Columbia SC to see my cousin Nancy. On Sat. I drove us to the exit below South of The Border to see my other cousin, Gail. Had a great time. Nancy kept me busy with things like Bill's Pick'N Parlor, Columbia Zoo and also their great gardens. Also got to see their niece and her family. Had a fun time playing Tic-Tac-Toe with a younger cousin at IHOP. I also got to visit with some of Nancy's friends. Drove all the way on Thursday but felt safer to take two days to come home.
The fun part is that I got to go some different ways than my husband would have taken.
Good to be home, see Val, and CRASH.

Sounds like you had a good time. I'm glad.

I'm up to 79 weeks. This is a record. Almost to 1,000 minutes for month. Going for three hour hike tomorrow so will make it over the 1,000 then.

I got another month of 2,000 fitness minutes. Working on week 78 of exercise streak. Believe that will tie my all time record. Will CELEBRATE week 80. Actually week 80 & 81 will be challenge weeks. But unless medical issues come up -- will not let streak go.
