OK, so yesterday I found the "real" reason that my time was so off from last year. My hip was jammed (the femur bone was jammed up into the joint). I had it pulled out, and feel awesome! I am supposed to do a whole bunch of strengthening exercises and ease back into running! Yeah! I'm not just getting slower!
This was my first time running in any marathon and after being initially confused about what I was supposed to do at the relay point, got into a good groove and enjoyed the run. It felt great just knowing that I was back in shape and seeing everyone cheering lifted my spirits. I can't wait until next year and I plan on looking for some 5K's and 10K's to do in the next few months.

Wow, I am so proud of you! IMHO, it was not the best day for running - very humid. I did not do well, but I did finish, and I did have fun. I love the Pig, it is a great race. I am already thinking about my next long race - Chicago Rnr 1/2 marathon in August.
