Honestly, eating clean seems to eliminate my craving for junk... and I've never been a big junk food eater overall. I will 'crave' if I'm not eating often enough, and I crave clean food. My go-to snacks are hummus with veggies (or home-made pita crisps), or frozen grapes. fruit and a bit of feta cheese usually takes care of any salt cravings... especially feta and watermelon.
As for that popcorn... you could lick each kernal first, and then salt it before you pop it in your mouth!
I'm not a big popcorn eater, but when I do, I've found I like it with black or chipotle pepper... it sticks better, too.
