I also like steel cut oatmeal better than rolled oats. You can cook a couple of days worth and store in the fridge. Right before eating, I sprinkle a combination of the following on it - cinnamon, walnuts, raisins, dried cherries, honey. I've also tried stirring applesauce into it. Each day I do a little something different with it.

If you can't find steel cut oats in the cereal section, they might be in the healthy food section.

Have you tried making granola? You could eat it as a cereal or as a mix-in. It doesn't seem to get mushy in yogurt.

I know it's not "quick and dirty", but I really like McCann's Irish Oatmeal - Steel Cut. It never gets mushy in my opinion. It does take about 40mins to cook though :( Hope you are able to find an oatmeal option that works for you!!!!

I love oatmeal, so it is not an issue with me. If you told me to eat liver and onions for breakfast every morning because it was healthy, I would not choke it down.

Find something you love to eat. Don't fight it.

Perhaps an Ezekiel tortilla, with egg whites and lots of veggies. That is my go to breakfast, if I don't have the oatmeal. Delicious!

but I don't mind it raw. The problem is, I find it so dry and I can't stand it when it gets mushy if I mix it with yogurt. Oh, and I can't stand milk!

Boy, am I sounding picky! I am also thinking that perhaps I should abandon the oatmeal idea altogether except that it's so damn healthy and I kinda, sorta like it, especially in cookies!

Any recipes, tips? I know Tosca has a few in her eating clean cookbooks, but I'm looking for something quick and dirty that I can do everyday.

Thanks in advance!
