Kitty, From your spark page, go to my recipes, then click on recipe calculator. You put in the recipe, then you can store it, share it and use it repeatedly.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't work, let me know.
Hugs,
Helen

Once I found a place to enter a recipe and tell it how many servings and it would divide it and put it in my food page. now i can't find that.

anyone have directions to get there?

thanks, kitty.

Yes, Niteman, I started doing that as meals too. There are certain things I eat together and it was so much easier to do it this way. Also sometimes I get creative (or weird)and will whip something up that is not on the list, so I do the math and then have it there. Like my grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich LOL

I've got quite a long list of foods that range from very healthy to at least low calorie. The no artificial ingredients purists would argue with about half my stuff, but for me the loss of weight was far more urgent than worrying about Splenda or Olean. Many of the things on my list are quite good items from any point of view, but it has taken well over a year to accumulate the list and it's still growing. The other thing I add to my list is generics that have a significantly lower calorie, fat or sodium content than their branded counterparts. Many of the things there are daily entries and the food groupings as well. About every other day I eat my two fat free ham sandwiches on low calorie Weis rolls with fat free Miracle Whip and fat free cheese with Lay's fat free chips. One mouse click instead of many. Another version is the same thing without the Miracle Whip on grilled low calorie rye bread. Another one click meal. Many similar, so it has saved me enormous amounts of time in data entry.

I also noticed that when the foods I'm eating aren't in the food tracker (basil fococia bread... yum), then usually its not a healthy food anyway!

A good practice is to name your manually entered foods by the main title rather than the first thing you think of. For instance, Missy made some low fat/cal blueberry muffins and I forgot this rule when I entered them. When I go look for them later, I may not even remember I called them "Missy's" something or other, but I would remember that they were muffins. So instead of "Missy's blueberry muffins", I need to change it to "Muffins, Blueberry, Missy's, 1 muffin". That way, I'll remember where to look for one thing and when I get there I'll only have to sort through the muffins, of which there will only be a few, instead of all the stuff I already entered as "Missy's something or other". The same with everything else. Instead of
"Chicken Sausage, 1 link", I now do "Sausage, Chicken, 1 link" and then for a serving size I use the weight in grams.

Just some ideas and any others would be appreciated.

I think you are talking about when you go under track food eaten you hit add a food then there is a place to check if you want that food stored as a favorite. The next time you eat that food all you have to do is click on favorite and it should be listed there.

I hope that is what you were talking about. Hope this helps!!

When I tracked my food here maybe 6 months to a year ago, they had this neat page where you could store frenquent ate foods, where it had the calories, fat etc and it kept the list for you. And you could add to it whenever you wanted. Then when you ate the same thing another day, you just added it from the food tracker (I thought it was called) but when I finally decided today to keep my food diary again, the chart is soooo different. Am I not looking in the right place? Have they changed it maybe? I am really confused, I like that thing. I hope someone can undertstand what I wrote and knows what I'm talking about LOL Thank for the help friends!
