Tried to make socca bread for the first time. It did not taste bad, but I have to get the hang of making it. Turns out like a tortilla or a crepe. It is suppose to be a flat bread.

Tried a gluten free skillet pasta meal. Not bad. Instead of adding tuna, I added some chicken I had.

I tried hummus for the first time and fell in love! I always avoided it because I am not fond of chickpeas, but now I am mad at myself for waiting so long to try it!

Yesterday, Tuesday, I tried a flat bread recipe from Spark. It was rather chewy and I think the egg in it made it that way. The spices I put in did give it a nice flavor, though. I made it gluten free.

Still trying new things! Yesterday, I sampled and bought some Unjunked, Unreal candy bars. Yum! Really good and actually have 5g of fiber and 5g of protein. They do have 200 calories, but if the bar is cut in half and used as a 100 cal snack twice a day, I think this will curb the sweet tooth. Has anyone else tried these???

Yesterday, Tuesday, I was trying a juice fast and ended up with a headache--a migraine! Thank goodness I slept well and remnants seem to be gone today! That prune juice can be a killer!!! emoticon

Just tried a version of the avocado pudding here on the site. I used a natural sweetner and some stevia. Also, used organic cocoa powder. It turned out pretty good. Waiting for DH to try it to see what he thinks.

This is the place to report trying new things. Yesterday, I tried a new chicken alfredo recipe. I bought a gluten free alfredo sauce, cooked the chicken breast and broccoli and put it all together. Had my Bro and SIL in for supper and it turned out well. I know there are lots of you folks who have probably tried lots of things. Have you tried a particularly good recipe from Spark that you really like?

I made a recipe yesterday that was no fat, high protein and actually tasted good. Since this is "Try It Tuesday" thought I would put it here.

One C of nonfat greek yogurt; one C of fresh or frozen raspberries; and I used one packet of stevia for a bit of sweetner. Blend to a consistency you like. Mine looked like a bumpy pudding. It can easily serve 4. I ate the whole thing for dinner last night. Mmmmmmmmmm!

Post here if you try it! thanks

Found a new recipe that calls for a bunch of kale in it. Anyone else use kale? emoticon

Just tried something called 'Miracle Noodle.' It takes on whatever flavor you put with it and only has one carb per three ounce serving. I am trying to do less carbs and more protein so thought I would try this. Has anyone else tried it?

Trying Julian Whitaker's (MD) mini-fast diet. I read it in one of his newsletters. Going to see if it makes a difference. Also, planning to eat no sweets M-F this week. That is suppose to tone down joint pain and maybe, maybe, maybe, help with the weight thing.

Have a great day, ALL! emoticon

I ran out of pie dough ( trying to keep it low/free of gluten) and did not line the pie pan up the sides and no fluted edge. It worked out fine. As a plus, I saw a video about eating the pumpkin pie and stopping at the side crust and fluted edge and not eating them. The dietician said, we could save 75 calories by not eating the side and top of the crust. Who knew? That certainly made me feel better about the skimpy crust on my pie, LOL

Also, tried the stick up LED light in our kitchen and a closet. It kept coming off the wall in the kitchen -- maybe the heat. Anyway, I asked DH to put a small screw threw the sticky bottom to hold it where I wanted it, and now it works great. I will have to recheck the one in the closet and see how it is fairing. For the money, and the energy it saves, it was well worth the discounted price I paid.

What have you tried lately? emoticon

Bought four biscotti pans after thinking for months. Do not like them, the old way of making loaves and baking on a cookie sheet works better!

There always seems to be a "new" something we would like to try, but don't. Lack of time, fear of failure, not wanting to waste money on something new, etc. Anyway, why not take a day, say Tuesday (LOL) and try something new and share the results with our teammates? Let's not be so stringent that we feel we can only do something "new" on Tuesday, but at least try something new each week.

Let me begin by saying that I have tried two new recipes and one new product in the last week. We bought the product "Eggies", the one where you take the shell off the egg and boil it in a plastic holder that same as you would in the shell. Did it work? Yes! Was I impressed? Not too much. I felt it took longer than the normal way. However, there was no wasted egg stuck to the shell as sometimes happens when I try to peel them. Any questions about this product? Just ask. Oh, any maybe check out my blog entitled, "Try It Tuesday" if you haven't already.

Now it's your turn. Try something new and then TELL us about it. Have fun with this, OK?
