Poor Phil. All he really wants to do is sleep all day. He rather stay in and watch Bill Murray in the movie.
BTW-Phil seen his shadow so they say we will have 6 more weeks of winter. (Crazy, seems to me if I look at the calendar right it'll be 6 more weeks no matter what)
It's 50 degrees today, go figure.

Groundhog day originally started in western PA in the early 1800's. The exact date is not know. But, legend has it it started at a local pub in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. When a couple long term tavern patrons, after consuming a generous supply of Yuengling Ale, got into a debate about whether ground hogs (nocturnal by nature) could see his own shadow. After several more ales and a debate that went into the early morning light no definitive answer was reached. One man finally reached a compromise position. His solution: "Lets go antagonize a ground hog, roust him out of his hole and see if he recognizes his own shadow." Later, after the effects of the ale abated the legend of "Groundhogs Day" was devised to add credibility to the whole event. At least that is the way it was told to me, I should know. I am of German descent and lived in central PA. (You saw it on the internet. It must be true!!)

What are you running from?

What are you running to?

What are you chasing?

What is chasing you?
