The weather can be a challenge here in PA, but finding a way to incorporate exercise, even indoors, into my everyday life is a priority.
For example, when there is a show on TV that I really want to watch, I turn it on... and start stepping. Walking, jogging, even step aerobics all work in front of the TV, as do crunches and other strength exercises. The couch is looking a little lonely, but the exercise is helping me look and feel better.
Another time I squeeze exercise into my day is doing laundry. With the washer and dryer in the basement, I often get down there only to discover that the load is not quite finished. So, I jog in place (or in small circles) until the washer clicks off.

Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. ~Soren Kierkegaard

Interesting. I'm in Pittsburgh and we do have access to great parks, bike lanes, hiking trails and river activity has really picked up in the last five years. The challenge is the weather at times. It was 3 degrees this morning so getting out for a walk wasn't happening and I was not feeling the motivation to bring my gym stuff and walk across campus for my lunchtime exercise. I am always surprised when a city such as Miami is ranked low - you would think that you would want to stay in shape when you can wear shorts year round :-)
