I tried tofu years ago and did not care for it but I am willing to give it another try. My sister says that it takes on the taste of foods it is cooked with. I have lots of recipes using it just gotta get cooking!
"Always concentrate on how far you have come, rather than how far you have left to go. The difference in how easy it seems will amaze you." ---Heidi Johnson
If you're looking for healthy desserts that use tofu... try chocolatecoveredkatie's blog. Her fudge pie is TO DIE FOR! Made with 100% real ingredients.
My favorite tofu's are: Morninu - it has very smooth texture and doesn't have the aftertaste of soy. It is also lower calorie, so you may have to use more to get the same amount of protein. It's great in smoothies and desserts and "cream" based soups. Azumaya - for dishes required to saute/marinade/bake/fry tofu. It holds together nicely.
GRACE. BEAUTY. LAUGHTER. REST. COMPASSION. GOOD FOOD.
I love to cook and bake. I have compiled hundreds of recipes on Pinterest: Crowd pleasers: Traditional & Lightened versions of timeless favorites, as well as: gluten free, vegan, Paleo & Grain-Free... and a ton of Scones and desserts. pinterest.com/willdance4joy/
