Thanks for passing this along. I don't use Spark recipes much, but I did just enter one a week ago -- it's quite the long process and hard because not all ingredients are available in the database to choose from.
I posted the following on the SP message boards under the topic "Diet and Nutrition". The message is titled "Many Errors In Calculating Shared Recipes":
"I'm getting a bit frustrated looking at the SparkRecipes. Many wonderful looking recipes... but many errors in calculating the nutritional value of a given recipe. My knowledge of calorie content in food is good enough to catch the big mistakes, but why is this happening?
To check and see if a recipe or recipe ingredient has nutritional info (or correct info) entered: Open the recipe, To the right of the window click on 'Create a Recipe Makeover', Under '#1 Enter My Recipe' click on the ingredient you want to check, and then on 'nutrition'. The window will pop up titled 'Edit This Food', Click on 'See Nutritional Info'. Another window opens and you can check for yourself."
If you agree that this is a problem that should be addressed, please go to the message board topic and show your support and/or concern.
